“Will! William!, GET UP!”
Under a large apple tree on a distant hill near the Azure Kingdom’s grand capital city, the eyes of a boy whose clothes were drenched in sweat slowly opened and with a broken wooden sword on his right hand that upon hearing the angry and slightly annoyed voice of his Mother was clenched tightly.
“Argh!”
With a punch to the gut, William got up with a jolt and fiercely swung his broken sword to the “attacker” only for it to be burned to ashes before it hit, and as a reward for his valiant efforts, he received another free punch that left him gasping for air a second later.
“Get home before sunset”, Said his mother smugly before she got on her Phoenix mount and left leaving William who was on the floor trying to regulate his breath before standing and slowly walking in a dejected way to a nearby river at the bottom of the hill to clean his face and head back home.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
William Godfrey was from a noble family of mages within the capital who was powerful for the number of high-rank mages that were produced during the decades, his mother was a powerful mage who currently was the head of the Godfrey family, who within the kingdom took the spot for the seventh most powerful mage along with her phoenix mount that made so that no one dared provoke her.
William was 168 cm tall which was slightly taller than the average height of a 13-year-old boy, he also had pitch-black hair and was above average in looks with a tan that was rare for noble from a mage family mainly because mana can mostly make so that physical imperfections that were not genetical where avoided, the reason for his “tan” was his terrible aptitude in magic, although mana was still part of him it was in pitiful quantities that made it so that the furthest he can get was rank five which were the basics for element mana manipulation.
“Arghhhhhhhh” yelled in frustration while punching the air to vent, and sighed in a self-deprecating manner, being from a magic family he had to attend a “magic academy” at the age of 14, and although he has no talent for it he still has to attend for the sake of it, fealing a heavy burden brought him a need to train hard but simply thinking of his innate limit as mage made him feel a severe headache with just the thought of attending the academy.
Sigh~
“Oh well, better make the most of it,” he thought out loud in a low voice
