Prologue

"No! No you cannot leave me alone like this! You can't! You promised Daddy and Mommy that you will take care of me after they die!" a young girl with silvery grey hair and silvery grey eyes blurted out as she cried her heart out in front of her aunt and uncle.

"Stop telling me what I can and cannot do! You-" the girl's uncle reached out and tried to slap the girl but was held back in the arm by the girl's aunt as she shook her head.

"Sweetie, listen to me. Because your mother had been married to your dad, rumors had spread around about you and your future that our reputation was ruined and our business was closed because of the one who had started the 'thing' on your father in the first place. Sweetie, we needed to sell you off as a slave because if not, we will not have enough money to provide food on the table for you and your cousins because of the closure of our family business. Please understand." The girl's uncle nodded at what the aunt was saying and the little girl nodded with determination.

"I understand aunt, uncle. If I can get more money for you when I grow older, I will provide for my cousins and you both for as long as you want. I will stay strong for you all and mother and father. I promise." The little girl gave a small smile of determination and understanding at her uncle, aunt, and cousins as she went with the slave traders leaving them crying silently in her wake as they lost their cousin and niece.
