After talking them for a while I learned about them and their mission, their captain was a blonde, blue-eyed, Rein, the rest of them were privates like me and they were brothers, Will and Lorn, they looked like each other, they had brown hair and brown eyes.

"Their ears are really expensive nowadays, so there are two ears. I think the ones who caught it should get the ears." Continued Rein. "Yeah I mean they deserve it," I said, both of them looked happy and yelled at the same time. "Yes!" We laughed at them and eat the goblin and it tasted like chicken but with salt on it, we were full and we were getting bored, none of us wanted to sleep in this forest so we started to play cards.

"I won!" We played so much that, even I learned this weird card game, this was my fifth win and they were getting bored and sleepy, Lorn stood up. "Gonna pee." As he said that, a sniper shot was heard, three of us turned to the direction of the sound and when I turned around, I realized Lorn was lying on the ground with a bullet in his head, Will saw his dead brother and charged at the sniper with his bayonet. "Ahh!" Will yelled but this didn't stop the next bullet, I pierced right through his heart, just missing my leg. "Get to cover!" Rein yelled we hid behind the trees.

"We will rush in three, two, one." Rein started to run from the right and I started to run from the left, gunshots were focused on Rein, I arrived at the sniper's post and saw the sniper, I jumped on him with my bayonet and killed him right there, It was my first time killing someone but this adrenaline in my body didn't stop pumping because gunshots meant reinforcements, I started to turn to every sound around me and then I saw a figure coming out of the woods.

I turned my rifle and saw Rein, shot in his stomach, he fell on the ground and I rushed to help him, I wanted to do something but It was already too late for him. "P-Please, t-take this to my mother." He handed me a pendant shaped like a sun, there was a photo of his family in there, he passed away while lying on my legs, the adrenaline in my body stopped and tears followed.

After one day, I crossed the border and reached the Polen army camp, I started to spy on them, It wasn't a big camp so this was a good sign, after burying their bodies I picked up everything that seemed useful including the goblin ears, there was a scope in Rein's bag, I was using that to find the general's location.

And after hours of scouting, I found the general's location, he was in the prisoner tent like the others ones, why did I think the general was going to be somewhere else….
