Paris sat in the armored transport. No expression crossed his face, or his team members’. They were all tired. Heading straight to a rural town near Washington DC. The year was 2050, and a new organization arose in the U.S. The Dark Ones. These people were relentless. They had “Plane Walkers” on their side. Alternate Dimensional Beings that were elusive to the public, but the U.S Department of Defense approved their existence, and threat.

Paris sat among his battle-torn team members. There was Alice Harding, his younger sister. She had been by his side ever since she was born. She enlisted into the military when Paris was drafted into it. And then they rose through the ranks and became FBI agents afterwards. They looked nearly identical, except for height and hair length, but they both shared the same shade of dark brown hair. Paris was the soldier, and Alice was the Medic.

Adrian Augstein, aged 31. Short jet black hair and an average height.. Childhood friend of both Paris and Alice. He served in the military for 4 years, and eventually became a CIA agent. He was involved with Project Dark Storm that established the connection of the Dark Ones organization using Plane Walkers. All died on the mission except for him and Marcus Anthony. Adrian wasn’t physically present there though. He was the one communicating with them from a mission control of sorts. After the event the U.S deemed the organization as the number one threat, sending the U.S into def-con 3.

Another team member, Marcus Anthony, aged 32, was one of the most crucial roles. He was a part of the DCAF-Discovery and Containment of Anomalies Foundations. The DCAF has had shady programs in the past, but overall is accredited with the people’s safety at their best interest. He was first to propose that the organization, “The Dark Ones”, were using the Plane Walkers to gain an advantage.

The final member, and the most mysterious. Dante Alberis. He has had a career of being a covert agent for the U.S Government, and the strangest part of his past, he split from “The Dark Ones”. He was seen as suspicious to the task force, but he let in on a lot of insight as to how the Plane Walkers were being used by the groups, and how to defeat them.

The group had the target to rescue a specific hostage, Ardren Anderson. She worked as the head of “Project Lunar Gateway”. The project proved the existence of other dimensions, and also the existence of Plane Walkers. They had to rescue her at all costs. She knows exactly how these things work, and about their natural dimension.

The transport was dead quiet, in contrast to his previous mission in which his team was joking around and laughing. Now only a void of dread, and a cacophony of silence filled the transport, further deepening the pit in his stomach. Alice sat next to him, very clearly struggling to stay awake. Every time she closed her eyes Paris lightly nudged her with his elbow, as he knew she likely wanted to stay awake, as was proven with her silence.

Dante mirrored Paris’s pose. Arms crossed, hunched over, staring at the floor of the transport. The other members, Adrian and Marcus, leaned on the thin walls of the immense vehicle. The transport slowed down, rolled to a stop, and there was a bump. Then nothing. Paris nudged Alice one last time, and they prepared for the single most important mission of their lives. Time to abandon your god, and save all of humanity.
