"Sniff" "Sniff" Neculai moved through the shadows with amazing speed as he sniffed the air with his pale nose, he stopped and stood behind a tree as he slowly poked his head out and looked at the scenery.

There was a large clearing amidst the forest it looked charming if it weren't for all the dead bodies that piled up every second, there were currently two groups of soldiers facing each other one side was wearing green coloured armours with a deer flag while the other group wore blue covered armours with a griffon insignia on their shields as well as the flags.

Neculai stared at the battlefield from the shadows as his red eyes shined even brighter, he was a creature that loved the taste of blood and the thrill of carnage and destruction this sight was for him a very lovely sight.

But one thing was bothering him and that was why, why were the humans and the elves fighting each other, slaughtered each other what happened while he was in his slumber.

He was wondering but it didn't matter that much what does matter is that they are fighting, their ancient pact and unity is broken they do not shield each other any longer, this was the first good thing Neculai learned since he awoke from his deep slumber.

"hhhhh" a low sound escaped Neculai's mouth as he opened them and spoke in his dark and cold voice.

"I need to learn more" Neculai looked at the battlefield again and it seems that the stalemate was slowly broken as the green coloured army meaning the elves were slowly retreating to the inner parts of the woods, even if they were fighting on their own territory they were still vastly outnumbered.

The elven army supported their retreat with their highly skilled archers hidden in the woods, this made humans give up the chase before they even started, there was no point in losing more men on guerilla warfare because elves were skilled in that.

"Kyaaeaae!!" Neculai's ears twitched as he heard the scream belonging to a woman, he looked towards the direction and saw a group of 10 blue armoured soldiers dragging a female elven soldier on the ground.

"hhhh" Neculai let out a strange sound from before as he moved closer through the shadows, they dragged the elven girl in a secluded part of the forest away from the battle.

"Hey-hey break her legs first we don't want her kicking you before you even start hahaha" one of the soldiers spoke as he laughed.

The soldier that was dragging  her took out his sword and started hitting the legs of the elven woman with a hilt until a pop sound was heard.

The elven girl screamed from the pain and yelled with all the strength she had, she cursed then she begged to kill her that they do not defile her.

"Well, would you look at that a proud race like elves can actually beg hahahaha" all the men laughed at the exclamation that one of them made.

"I hope you burn in hell humans, I hope Vildas eats your souls in hell once you die!" the elf started cursing again but the 10 men didn't even bother to listen as they had their eyes on the beauty in front of them completely to themselves lust filled their faces and some even drooled as they imagined ravaging such a beauty as they all moved towards her.

"hhhh" "You never change do you humans hehehe" dark and could voice spoke from behind the 10 men, they all drew their swords at the same time and turned to look at the thing that spoke.

But once they did they saw nothing they looked at each other with confused faces everyone was sure they didn't imagine it as they all turned at the same time.

"Aaahhhaahaaaa!!!" suddenly of the furthest to the left started screaming when the rest turned to look at their fellow comrade they all looked shocked because there was nothing there, not their friend and not the thing that got him.

"Ca....captain!? What the hell is going on!?" the soldiers looked at the man they referred to as captain he was shocked as much as they were so much that he could utter a word to his soldiers.

"Aaarahhah!!!" another scream and like before the scream and then completely gone not a trace left, they rest of the soldiers panicked and some of them even started running away "You fucking deserters come back here!" the captain that was silent till now yelled at the running soldiers he felt even more scared now that there were less of them he feared for his own safety more than anything.

"AaArhahaha!" one by one all the soldiers that ran away were heard screaming and then complete silence like they never existed in the first place, the captain started breathing heavily his arm that was holding the sword started trembling.

"Wh....what the fuck are you!? Show yourself!!" he yelled towards the trees but nothing came out of them he breathed out as he relaxed a little, maybe it was some dangerous animal that feed on his soldiers and it left when it filled its belly, soldiers can always be replaced but he was wrong not completely but still he was wrong.

"Aaaaahhhh!" the last soldier that stayed with him screamed, the captain turned around and saw the horror with his own eyes, a figure over 2 meters tall covered in a tattered blood red robe with a hood was holding the soldier up in the air with one hand before a snap sound was heard as the big figure dropped his lifeless body on the ground.

"Whaawhaaaaa!!!!" the captain started screaming as he moved backwards and stumbled down and fell on his back, Neculai looked at the captain with his blood red eyes and showed a creepy looking smile.

"Whats wrong human? You wanted me to come out so here I am what now?" Neculai slowly approached the captain as he still kept his creepy smile on his face.

"Dont....stay away!! Please let me live please!" the captain dropped on his knees and let go of his sword as he started sobbing, tears and snot dripped down from his face.

Neculai stopped and looked at the captain, this chance however did not get unnoticed by the captain however, he took out a concealed dagger and stabbed the huge monster in front of him in the chest.

"Haha....hahahaha I did it hahaha aaa aa...." he started laughing manically but he stopped very quickly as he fell down on the ground, he didn't understand what was happening to him until he looked at pale white hand with sharp looking nails that were holding a still beating heart.

"Ahhh" the captain let out the last sound from his mouth as he looked at his heart, Neculai bit the heart and sucked it dry  then he dropped the withered husk near the captain's body.

He smiled and opened his mouth "to bad steel doesn't work on me" he spoke the words before he turned towards the last survivor of this little party of his.

"Well now what do I do with you?" he spoke in his dark cold voice as he made his way towards the elven woman, that looked at him with eyes that didn't believe what just happened to her, she was about to get defiled by the enemy soldiers then a large creature came and killed the soldier in the most brutal way she has ever seen and now that creature was coming for her.

She clasped her hand and started praying "Oh goddess of light Eliana please save this poor soul from the evil that has extended its hand on this faithful servant of yours!" she prayed hard and even yelled, this caused Neculai to stop and think.

"hhhh" "I have decided you shall tell me about this world little elf and be honoured for you shall be my firstborn in this unfamiliar place" Neculai approached her once again which caused the elf to pray harder and harder as he got closer.

"And one more thing little elf, your gods shall not save you"
