Morning had returned for Limeinback. Sun slowly rises and livestock roams the land once more. At a nearby bicycle shop is Lien and Bobo with the owner inspecting Lien’s bike.
“Okay sir, your bike is all checked out and ready to go,” he said with a smile. “Gotta say that it’s not every day I get to inspect a military bicycle.”
Lien took all the belongings onto his bike. “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. Inspection is free of charge. Just get the gears greased and you’re good.”
“Will do, take care.” Lien waved goodbye with the owner doing the same and walked out with his bike in tow. Just outside is where the guild members are at. “Gears need to be greased.”
“That all?” Serena was surprised by this. “With all that pedaling you have to do to get here, I’m shocked it’s not anything more than that.” She then thought about it. “Then again, you do have tools for it.”
Lien just chuckles. “An adventurer is always prepared.”
“Took the words out of my mouth,” Robin responded in swiftness.
“Alright, let’s not keep our gas clerk waiting.” Guilliam started walking and the rest followed to the entrance of Limeinback. Upon reaching there stood Thaddeus, standing at the entrance waiting for them. “Oh? He’s here already. You got his money?” He shouted.
Thaddeus walks towards them before both sides come to a stop just close to the entrance. “Bet I do.” He reaches for his pocket for a wad of cash and hands it over to Lien. “Here’s a hundred for competition and another for risking your life from that feline.”
Lien's eyes were wide upon seeing the money and took hold of it. “Wow, you’re very generous. Thank you.”

“Don’t mention it. After pulling a stunt like that you should be compensated.” Thad tips his hat. “Ready to go?”
Lien nodded in response with Bobo leaping off to get on its front basket. Lien then makes one final check on his bike before looking back at Thaddeus and the guild members. “I suppose this is goodbye... I’ll be in touch whenever I can.”
Guilliam gave out a jovial laugh. “Call us anytime and don’t be a stranger!”
“If you’re feeling down in the dumps, give us a call.” Robin gives a salute to the biker. “From one adventurer to another.”
“Stay safe out there.” Serena put on a worried look. “Although, you two are pretty tough for surviving this long but just want to give a heads up.”
“I appreciate the thought, Serena, thank you.” Lien turned to Thaddeus to give a two-finger salute which Thad returned by doffing his hat.
“Before you leave, I have one question to ask from you, Lien.”
Lien was intrigued by this. “What is it?”
Thaddeus thought about what he was going to say. “What compels you to take a trip across the country on a bicycle?”
Surprisingly, Lien just smiled and said to him: “To see what this country has to offer. A bike is the best way to go about it.”
“I see, can’t complain about that.” Thaddeus nodded, satisfied by Lien's answer. “There’s a pit stop twenty miles from here then make your way towards the capital.”
“Got it, Take care!” Lien pedals off into the distance Bobo waving goodbye.”
When they were just out of sight, Thaddeus turned to the guild members. “He said the same thing to you three?”
“Pretty much, Robin shrugged. “If anything, People like him keep the spirit alive for adventuring. Not much for something like that in the modern-day.”
“Let’s take a trip to the lake!” Serena suggested. “We could have our families come along to if they're not busy.”
“We still have bikes in the garage and now they have a use, Let’s go!” Guillam runs off with Robin and Serena following behind. Thaddeus looks on before looking at Lien and Bobo who are now far away. “Bikers are some nice folk.” He then walked to his vehicle to start his shift. He and his guild members will never forget the cyclist and his green friend for those two had left an impression on them.
