Jun awoke with a gasp, sucking in the hot, musky air around him. It tasted stale, as though it had been sitting for weeks. Jun looked around him, but found nothing but pitch black. The ground beneath him was hard, flat; a thin layer of cushion separating him from it. Jun reached to his side, instinctively to feel for Johnny. His rock. His sturdy, safe place. He was met instead with a wall, far too close for comfort. Jun began to realize that all of the walls were close, a feeling of claustrophobia beginning to set in.
"Where the fuck am I?" Jun asked aloud, no one else to hear him.
Jun felt a sudden jolt, a flash of memory filling his mind. Johnny, smiling back at him knowingly, beckoning him closer. Jun gasped, thrashing out at the walls surrounding him. Another flash, Jun running his hands over Johnny's muscular ebony skin. Another thrash, the walls beginning to crack now, dirt falling down upon him from the crack above. Jun began pounding his fists against the roof holding him in, the dirt now falling down harder.
"Buried." Jun thought to himself, as he began to squeeze through the crack above, pulling dirt aside to slowly make his way to the surface. "Why would someone bury me?"
Higher and higher Jun climbed, finally feeling his hand break the surface, pulling himself up from the grave he had awoken to find himself in. Two pairs of dark eyes watched him surface. Looking around him, Jun saw a headstone merely feet away. He moved closer, looking at the name upon it. "Jun Yung", it read.

Jun scrambled back away from the headstone, muttering to himself.
"No. No, it can't be....am I dead?"
A black bird swooped down, landing upon the headstone, its dark eyes piercing through Jun.
"Not dead." A voice in Jun's head whispered, so foreign, yet almost familiar at the same time.
"Who said that?" Jun says, looking around for the source of the voice.
The crow pecks at the headstone, drawing Jun's attention. "I did."
Jun moves closer to the bird, dumbfounded, questioning.
"What's going on?"
The voice replies again. "You were dead. I brought you back."
"For what purpose?"
"Vengeance."
Jun's body seizes again, another flash of memory filling his head. An argument with Johnny. Meaningless, really. Something trivial like a meal, pointless in the long run. Johnny walking away. Jun following behind him, not nearly close enough. Screaming. A scuffle. Jun rounding a corner to find Johnny on the ground, four men standing above him. Beating him. Jun rushes forward, pleading with the men to stop. Jun, pushed to the ground, the men turning on him now. Jun reaches out towards Johnny. Johnny, his body broken and bloody, reaching back towards him.
"Johnny...where is Johnny?" Jun whispers, the vision leaving him.
"He is gone. You are here."
Jun begins to sob, his body shaking. The crow flies over, landing on Jun's shoulder. The crow whispers softly to Jun, "Avenge him."
Jun nods, knowing that it is what he must do. What he was reborn to do. Jun stands, his mission set before him.
In the distance, two dark eyes watch from the shadows as Jun leaves the graveyard, setting off into the night.
