There are three kinds of people in the world. Killers, victims, and those who haven't decided which one they belong to yet. Ferene decided to never let herself be a victim, so her only option is to be a killer. Something is wrong with the world. Even though she is only half human, Ferene can tell this much. The bigger picture isn't something that matters to her, that's better left for others to worry about. Ferene sees a simple solution: find the people who pillage, who murder, who threaten and steal to make their living, and make them stop living.
