Great Silverback Gorilla Sect
------
2 days later,
Alex finally arrived in front of his home sect, the fire panel sect. Tired, and wasted. He was struggling to walk as he dragged his feet each step at a time. It was truly unbearable. The only thing that kept him going was the calm smile on his nephew's face. Always smiling, like a little angel.
Not too far away, his father saw him. In fear and shock that something drastic may have happened to his son, he ran as fast as he could to support Alex. Approaching him, he noticed a baby sleeping peaceably in his arms. This scene made him even more perplexed.
"Alex, are you okay? What happened, who attacked you? And who's baby is this?" I hope you didn't kidnap someone's baby! I taught you better than this!" His father said
"Ha, old man. Who can beat me up? Am I not your son? Who can beat me to scorn here?" Alex said as tried to comfort his father.
Hearing Alex's response, he was a little relieved. However, he was still awaiting the answer to his other questions. So, he was still looking expectantly at Alex.
Seeing this, Alex was helpless, as he said, "Ha...this is your grandson, Jedidiah Kings. He is David's second son and fifth child..." With that, tears started falling from Alex's eyes.
Looking at Alex, the old man had a vague idea of what had happened to his son, David, and his grandchildren. Saddened, he sighed helplessly as he supported Alex into the sect.
---
Inside the sect was beautiful. There were buildings that resembled the ancient Chinese architectural designs. The ceilings were red, the floors were made of well-refined palm wood. The actual buildings were made of stones and precious stones and metals.
The steps were made of marble stones which beautified the natural sceneries of surrounding terrains. The rails were made of costly silver. The doors, tables, and chairs were made of cedarwood.
Outside, the terrain was just beautiful. Blessed with trees like blue and red roses, the whole terrain looked like a natural paradise as cherry trees and evergreen trees stood tall and mighty. It was just perfect. The roads were neatly tiled and kept. No merchant markets were found on the roadsides. It was just peaceful and beautiful. Leaving the civilians with nothing but beautiful songs of birds that filled the ears of everyone.
----
Not long after, Alex and his father arrived at their family house. It was a 3 story house that stood tall and majestic.
Opening the door, grandpa Kai warmly welcomed them in. "Please, go and rest, Alex. We will talk about everything when you are well and hearty. As for my grandson, give him to me. I want to take a better look at him," he said.
Obediently, Alex handed over Jedidiah to his father and went upstairs to his room to rest.
After he left, grandpa Kai sat down on a nearby sofa as he watched his grandson, Jedidiah, sleep peacefully in his arms.
"Oh David, what has this child done to you? Why leave him fatherless? How can an old man like me take care of him?" Grandpa Kai whispered softly as he thought to himself.
---
Later that night, Alex and Granda Kai were eating dinner. As for Jedidiah, grandpa Kai had already fed him and put him to bed. Looking at Alex eat, grandpa Kai didn't know how to start up the whole conversation. So, he could only watch Alex eat until something was said.
Feeling the steer of grandpa Kai on his neck, Alex started eating faster.
"You know you can't avoid this. You have to tell me what happened. What happened to your brother? " Grandpa Kai said.
Hearing this, Alex knew his actions were futile. Helpless, he finished chewing what he had in his mouth and looked at grandpa Kai who was in front of him.
"Jedidiah was born yesterday. Originally, I had planned to come to visit them today. However, my plans were delayed when David mentally contacted me. He said he was in trouble, and that he desperately needed my help. Normally, I wouldn't care much, but when he told me his family was also in trouble, I knew I had to act.
So, in haste, I left my disciple whom I was talking with and flew quickly to the hospital where he was. Apparently, he told me that his son, Jedidiah was one of the heirs whom lord Judas had commanded to kill. You know, the gravity of all these things had never bothered me until David and his family were involved in it.
When I arrived, there were all sorts of police guards and special forces who were present. I managed to sneak myself inside to meet them. Upon arrival, I was told by David that the children along with him and Meghan couldn't leave the hospital because Amelia and her siblings haven't yet fully formed their cultivation foundation. So, they had no choice but to either stay and be arrested. Or, fight for their lives and freedom.

I, on the other hand, had to take Jedidiah to safety as I swore to everyone there to take care of this child. So, I came home with him after fighting some stupid pests who tried to stop me. I had to be careful because the baby could be fatally hurt if he was shot by any of those idiots. Don't worry, nothing happened to him.
When I was done with them, I had to run all the way here. I made some stops on the way to feed him the milk which I bought, but that's all." Alex said sorrowfully.
"Hmm...Wow, that was not expected. So, David is most likely dead...Wow." Grandpa Kai said as tears fell down his eyes.
"So, what do you plan to do next? Will you raise him here? You know, if the patriarch finds out Jedidiah is an heir, he might kill him directly. I, Kai, will never stand to see that happen. I've lost too much already." Grandpa Kai said angrily.
"I advise you to leave with him tomorrow. Leave the sect, and find another sect who will take you guys in. There's a sect called the 'Great Silverback Gorilla' Sect. Find them, tell their guards you need to speak with their patriarch. She is a friend of mine. Tell her I need her to honor her favor, and host you guys for a while.
As for you, DO NOT make trouble for her. Do everything to raise that child well. His future is great. If not, why would lord Judas want him dead? Teach him and care for him like a father. I will not be able to come to visit because of my duty but don't forget to teach him about me. That's all I have to say to you. Goodnight" Grandpa Kai said as he stood up from his seat and went to bed.
"I've heard you. Thank you, and goodnight sir" Alex replied.

The following day, Alex went to the Great Silverback Gorilla sect. Due to the distance from the fire panel sect to the Great Silverback Gorilla sect, Alex left Jedidiah with his father, Grandpa Kai.
The journey was quite far. It was to the far south of the fire panel sect. Contrary to popular belief, the Great Silverback Gorilla sect was located on snow-high mountains rather than in dense forests. Due to the name, people always thought the Great Silverback Gorilla was filled with barbarians. However, the name was given based on their ancient totem beast, the Great Silverback Gorilla.
This was a ferocious gorilla that hailed from the King Kong lineage. Standing tall and mighty, this beast was truly an apex predator. In its prime, this beast could rival ancient behemoths like the Mammoth and the Sabertooth Tiger!
Famed for its ferocity, many tribes and dynasties envied the Great Silverback Gorilla sect because the Great Silverback Gorilla chose them out of all humans to protect and care for. In return, the people would honor the Great Silverback Gorilla, feed it, and worship it.
It took 1 week for Alex to arrive at the Great Silverback Gorilla sect. He was lucky because this time, he flew. If he walked, he would spend months before he got here.
The sect was glorious. Most of their buildings defied the laws of gravity as they hung from the top of caves without fault or falling. It was amazing. Even their gardens and farms were inside the mountain! They had all sorts of plants, flowers, herbs, and more in various places. How hard is this? Having the knowledge and wisdom to turn mountains into vegetative grounds in the midst of freezing snow? What type of thing is this?
"Old man, what is your relationship with their patriarch? How did a lowly man like you manage to befriend a lofty person like this? Anyway, this is an opportunity for me. I must make good use of it. I just hope he will accept us into his sect" Alex thought to himself.
Looking at this, Alex was shocked. He had no words that could express his shock. The only thing that kept running through his mind was how his father knew the patriarch of the Great Silverback Gorilla sect.
Standing in front of an enormous gate, Alex was welcomed by one of the guards. She wore tight black leather pants which highlighted her curvy hips and a black vest underneath her leopard coat which acted as a jacket.
"Who are you, and what is your business with the Great Silverback Gorilla sect?" She asked impatiently.
Hearing her tone, Alex got mad. He knew he couldn't blow up his chance, so he swallowed his pride and kept quiet.
"My name is Alex. I'm the son of Kai-lung Kings. I am from the fire panel sect up north from here. I came to seek an audience with your patriarch. It's important!" Alex replied as he grit his teeth.
"Oh, Ok. Please, give me a minute. I'll be back" The guard said as she ran back to whisper something to another guard behind her. Shortly after, the face of the other guard changed as he ran inside.
A while later, a senior envoy was sent to welcome Alex into the Great Silverback Gorilla sect. It was a man. On his head, he had blond hair which was neatly packed into a man bun, and a long goatee that ran down his chin. He wore an azure green garment that ran down all the way to the ground. On the side of his chest, there was a sash of green gems which ran across his chest.
As he walked towards Alex, each step was full of majesty and grace. Almost like an emperor walking amongst commoners.
"Hello, Alex. My name is Denzelle. I am a senior envoy here at the Great Silverback Gorilla sect. Please, follow me. Our Patriarch will see you now."
Hearing this, Alex was happy. He nodded his head in acknowledgment and followed Denzelle's lead into the Great Silverback Gorilla Sect.
As they entered through the gate, Alex was most shocked as to what he saw. Apparently, the Great Silverback Gorilla had more to it than meets the eyes.
Inside, the buildings were more medieval. Each house was made of stones. The funny thing was that each house looked like a castle of its own. Each one is unique to the satisfaction of the owner. Some were 3 story buildings that looked grand and mighty. Some were wide and shallow with only a ground floor. Some were a mix of both; with multiple-story buildings and spacious. It was amazing.
As he followed closely behind Denzelle, Alex tried his best not to get lost as he enjoyed the beautiful scenery around him. Seeing the shock on Alex's face, Denzelle couldn't help but be proud of his sect.
"If you think this is beautiful, just wait. You haven't seen it all. Haha!" Denzelle laughed as he spoke to Alex behind him.
As time passed, they finally arrived. They stood at the feet of a grand mountain. This was the sacred mountain of the patriarch. Seeing this, Alex's jaws dropped. At this point, he knew what Denzelle had told him earlier was not a lie. Everything he said was true!
The mountain was packed with ether! It was crazy! The level of this ether is enough for Alex to cultivate for years without complaint. Anyone who practices here as a cultivator can make more progress than most people who eat and ether pills and wine. How crazy is this?
He was not even at the peak of the mountain, but the amount of ether emitting from this mountain was suffocating. It was too intoxicating for him. If word of this were to spread out, I am afraid that the Great Silverback Gorilla sect will never rest in peace. Endless wars would be the order of the day for them all because of this mountain.
Looking at how speechless Alex was, Denzelle couldn't stop laughing.
"Don't have any ideas. Everyone on this mountain is strong enough to shatter the very foundation of most sects and dynasties in Paan. Everyone here are lofty figures who can decide the fate of countless people when tried. So, be wise." Denzelle warned calmly.
Hearing this, Alex knew he had to throw away all his covetous thoughts. He wasn't foolish. As a fellow cultivator, he knew that the people who practiced here were behemoths in their own respect. Silent, he could only nod his head and wait with Denzelle for the gate of the mountain to be opened.
A while after, the gate opened. Unlike before, there were dozens of guards who were lined up at each side of the gate. They were heavily armed with metal armors, knives of various types, and a shield that looked as though an angry Gorilla was about to come out of it.
"Don't worry, they wouldn't harm you. They are all doing their duty to guard the patriarch, nothing more." Denzelle comforted with a carefree tone.
Shortly after, he walked through the guards with Alex. As they walked, a group of guards followed them closely behind them as they walked up the long stairs of the mountain.
Step after step, Alex felt weird. He felt as though each step he took was heavier than the other. If one wasn't careful, they could carelessly run up these stairs and fall to their doom. If they are lucky, they may be left with their lives but left to suffer the pain of the gravitational pull from the ground.
That being said, Alex was wasted. He was tired. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't even halfway through the flight of steps.
"Denzelle, I- I need help. I can't go any further. If I take any more steps, I am afraid I will be left with no legs. Please, can you order someone to assist me up these stairs?" Alex as kindly as he was panting with each breath.
Hearing this, Denelle turned back and looked at Alex with pity. He then waved his hands to signal a pair of guards behind them to assist Alex who was on the ground.
Seeing his signal, a pair of guards came on each side of Alex and assisted him up.
"Thank you," Alex said.
"You're welcome," Denzelle replied.
After that, they continued up the stairs.
