The forest is calming, with the delightful sound of birds chirping. An anthropomorphic grizzly bear walks up to a family of frogs carrying a basket of dead flies. He carefully places the basket next to the frogs, allowing them to eat.
"Here you go," the bear said with a smile, "I hope this is enough to last a few months." The bear continued. The frogs give the bear a thankful hug before he walks off to a nearby lake. He takes off his jacket and goes into the water.
"I hope I'm lucky today. It's already bad enough that she's with me 24/7. I'm just hoping that she hasn't--"
Just as the bear slams his fist in the water to catch even one fist, he comes up empty-handed. He sighs.
"--eaten all of the fish."
Defeated and hungry, the bear returns to his cave, where a red cat greets him. She waves at him.
"Welcome home, Crumbles. Did you enjoy your fish hunt?" The cat asked, in a joking matter. Crumbles exhales and goes to grab his wallet.
"Where are you going?" The cat asked.
"I'm going to go into the town, Emily," Crumbles replied. " I'm heading there to buy some food for myself. I'll be back in about an hour or so." Crumbles continued, getting ready to leave. Emily grabs onto his hand.

"Can I come? I'll behave and won't ask for anything." Emily said, giving her cute eyes towards Crumbles. Crumbles sighed and petted Emily's forehead. She purrs, wrapping her arms around Crumbles's.
"Fine. You can come." Crumble said, sounding defeated. "But please don't cause an issue." Crumbles continued.
Excited, Emily hugs Crumbles. Crumbles picks up Emily and carries her to the town. When the two arrive at the city, one of the citizens stops them. He's wearing protective gear and has a makeshift spear.
"I'm sorry... but you two aren't allowed in this town anymore." The townsperson said, stuttering. "Not after the last incident." They continued. Crumbles exhales, attempting to prevent lashing out at the townsperson. Emily goes up to the townsperson. Before Emily could speak, they stabbed her in the chest using the spear. Emily screams.
"You bitch!" Emily yelled. "I was just trying to talk to you, you fucking psycho!" She continued, holding her wound. The townsperson points the spear at Crumbles, who is already ready to return to the forest. Emily looks back at the townsperson and goes to Crumbles.
"Was what I did last week that awful?" Emily asked. Crumbles didn't respond but instead went to a tree to sob. Emily goes to comfort him.
"I'm sorry for what I did," Emily says. "I didn't know it was out of my control, and I really am sorry." Emily continued.
"Every time something slightly good happens to me, you come by and fuck it up," Crumbles says while sobbing. "Why? Why do you hate me, Emily? If you hate me, then why do this to me? Can't you let me live a peaceful life?" Crumbles continued, tears running down his face. His voice is getting hard to understand due to his crying. Emily, feeling regret, stays silent. Nighttime soon arrives, and the two go back to the cave. Crumbles rests on his leaf bed, hungry, sad, and defeated. Emily, however, leaves the cave and goes to the top of a tree. She looks at the night sky and sees a shooting star. Emily inhales and closes her eyes.
"I know this is the first time I'm doing this, but I can really use a wish right now," Emily says, holding her hands together. "So, I wish Crumbles and I could live a happy life. Somewhere free of trouble and drama. Somewhere where he can be finally happy." Emily re-opens her eyes and gets down from the tree. She returns to the cave and sleeps next to Crumbles, hoping her wish will come true.
