1.1 Every End is also a Beginning

On the day the world ended I saw more shooting stars than I would have ever thought possible. And with every new one I wished that I would survive this disaster. I guess I had to get lucky with at least one of those wishes.  -- Grandma Gao to her grandchildren

With a sense of hopelessness I watched as the world as I knew it crumbled before my eyes. It was all like mother had predicted. The end was upon us. According to her multiple universes from multiple dimensions were crashing into each other and everything we knew about the world was about to change. But amidst all the destruction I could allso sense the first sparks of creation.

As a Deity of Creation I was naturally more sensitive towards those small instances where new things were born during this trying time. I could not imagine the sensory overload that beings sensitive to destruction were feeling right now.

My Father reminds me.

Sighing deeply I take one last ook at my parents before we simultaneously shatter out divinity and drape the power that was freed around ourselves.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Mother had already sensed that we, as we were now, would not have a place in the new world. For something new to appear, the old must vanish. And so we give up the source of our power and enter deep hibernation in the hope that we may one day awaken in the new universe that will have formed.

I just hope we don't get seperated too far from each other so that we can one day reunite.

Three milky white spheres were floating through the void between the stars, when suddenly space ripped in two in front of them and swallowed them whole. Inside the space crack a solar system of enormous proportions was hidden. No one in this hidden dimension had noticed the unintentional intruders except one.

It had a dark and twisted aura, teeming with madness and it was afraid. It knew that something was happening outside and it was desperate to survive.

Until a few moments ago there had been no way for it to survive, but now it saw a chance. It dashed madly to the three spheres and bombarded them with attacks until the weakest one cracked and revealed a boy sleeping inside. The being was incorporeal in the first place and so it used every opening it could find to invade the body.

Once inside it tried to take over, but it was too weakened from the previous power expenditure. So it did the next best thing to preserve something of itself and that was to fuse with the unconsious inhabitant of the cocoon that had been mended in the meantime.
