Elegantly we passed through the meadow, the clouds were upon us as we galloped our lizards towards the nightfall.” WE ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT!” Said a weird looking gall and his companions, they galloped their wraiths behind us.
The sky trembled above us. A light fell down from the sky missing us half a mile apart, the trees flared up in bluish flames as their bark shook from immense pain. “MAY WE RUN TO GLORY, BEAST FRENZY!” The arms of the wraiths around the crazed man bulged up, their chests inflated with muscle, as they became twice their original size. “RIDE TO THE DAWN!” Said the crazed man, but at that moment their faces became into horrified statues. “HAAAAAAA!.” They screamed like the sirens in my world, not a pleasant sound I assure you.
“Who is foolish enough to not bring a shield to their travels?” I asked myself as I saw them, the blast of concentrated lightning growing more present, it rapidly ascended from the purple skies, hitting my invisible shield. “Huh?” They said, happier to be alive than surprised.
“The skies are with us...we have nothing to fear, MOVE LITTLE PEASANTS THE GODS ARE WITH US!” The crazy man screamed as he moved to bump our trusty lizard, sadly another barrier protected us from all harm, he flew quite the distance, smashing up into the shield he got stuck in a downwards position.
An enormous city clouded our vision, we drew closer to the closed up entrance, powerfully our mounts jumped at the last moment landing on top of the walls, the wraiths clawed their way up the enclosure leaving nothing, but a damaged wall.
“We made it!” they said, sadly their ‘leader.’ Smashed against the closed gates, leaving nothing, but a torn gateway and a scorching pain. “LEADER!” Said the two companions of the crazed man, their legs giving out, the thought of the worst case infiltrated into their minds. “DON’T EVEN DARE!” Said the crazed man, as he touched his forehead, only to feel a flaring pain, blood drenched the floor as he had wide cuts everywhere.
“Scorching sun of the fallen, of the godly figures that rule upon us, Heal his soul everywhere!” His cuts closed and his eyes shined once more, filling with true happiness they widened, and so weakly he embraced his children. “You better get me more of those strange...sweet dishes,” said Baba as he crossed his arms and looked away from the father hugging his children... “I have never had children, but I assure you, they are proud of you Best- tin.”
I looked at him and waited for a response, nothing was spoken, and so swiftly he never spoke it, but Baba had no one to rely on, his parents were probably gone, or dead back in the forest, and that was more apparent than anything else in his tears of lightless sorrow,
“Travelers of the sky.” A voice broke me out of my deep thought. “Masters of the heavens themselves.” They said thogether as they kneeled, and held up their hands in gratitude. “We honor you today, for now, and forever.” They said as they took out stones from their chests and a scale from their heads. “Words are not enough to express our gratitude.” What are they doing?
They hold nothing but stones and red scales in front of me. “We cannot justify our foolish actions, please accept this 3 haynas stones.” I hold the stones in my hand,
“And this 3 dragon's scales.” I hold the six items in confusion, they hold nothing, yet they are glowing. I sneak my hand behind time and space, removing a green mist. “What are you?” I say in anger as the stone stops glowing and turns into smaller stones. I examine this wisp with my mythical powers, copying it to the very core.
An identification device?
I create something close to the wisp, surprisingly, It is but a distortion in time and space to anyone but me.
The wisp is extremely different from its counterpart. One of the main differences is that it's orange, not green, additionally, it does not bind the soul to its will, and it can’t take something away from me, or give me something new, it can just give me a higher perception, just like a parallel computation.
I will the distortion inside of my pores, directly into my powerful soul. I close and open my eyes in shock, I can see transparent tentacles growing out of everyone's backs, like a foggy steam coming out of their spine. Surprisingly Baba has none.
I will the orange wisp, making it show me my power compared to all the world, it accesses the database of the green light, and shows me my power in this new world.
My brain reproduces an image of all the world, everything is colored blue, the only exceptions to this rule are tiny dots and patches in the seas that range from orange to crimson.
I see my current location, I gaze upon a black dot among a sea of blues and darker blues, a crimson dot catches my attention as it's heading towards my direction. “What do the colors mean?” I ask myself, as someone interrupts me. “Are you ok Astrus?”
I seem to have dozed off into an unconscious sleep, “Why is there so many people around us?” I ask Baba, confused from our current situation. “WHO DARES CAUSE A COMMOTION IN MY LANDS?” A young sapling says as he looks over the crowd, floating as if standing on an invisible building,
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Even if our direction is obvious, he dares look nowhere, but a boy his age. “WAS IT YOU?” He zooms off and kills the man, not even giving him a chance in forming his first syllable.
The crowd separates more, finally leaving us in the middle, “Another traveler of the heavens?” Says the crazy man, as he directs his crazed gaze towards the sapling at the sky, “Travelers?”
I hold the little lamb in high interest as I look at his joyful eyes “It was me little devil!” I say, he looks at me and starts moving at sonic speeds, but before he can catch my head in his arm, I side step and leave him empty handed. he jumps back.
“A fellow traveler of worlds?” He looks at me with a peculiar gaze “A parallel computation user?” He looks at me as if waiting for a response. “A detective of levels, with the powers of a parallel processor” He slowly descends and lands on the ground, “Such a long time since one of you appeared.
“Kill him.” He quietly says, as he turns around, dark fumes escape his body, as if a tree had grown out of his mouth, the black smoke slowly tries to enter the fellow villagers. “Stop!” I say, his fumes dissipate into pure energy, the energy fueling that miasma enters the saplings hands, slowly he turns around once more, he looks at my eyes and tries to invade my soul, sadly he is too weak to even shake the surrounding floor. “How dare you stop ME!”
He distorts the void and slips through the reality of this world, reaching me in an instant, with nothing but his metallic clothes.
Rapidly I move out of the way of his metal fist, he stops. “Haha, I just remember.” He flashes once more, flying into my direction, this time his movements are slowing down and then speeding up, tremendous spinning kicks and powerful lunges are keeping me on the move.
Every turn lifts a pile of dust, looking at my eyes while smiling he bends down and raises a plant from the floor, huge veins sprout from the floor making a innocent plant into a deadly weapon, energy fills the Plant to the brim as he slashes it into my direction.
I keep dodging, as his technique may work on parallel computators, but not someone like me. “If you don't stop child, I will have to enforce my power over you.” I keep dodging his attacks. I keep dancing my ancient dance.
“What kind of cheat skill did you get old man?” My movements slow down but are kept in full motion as I retort “OLD MAN! I don't look that old.” I dodge his kick and go below it, carrying my momentum to his face, he ends up on the firm earth.
“Ouch.” The sapling says the people around us look at me, their mouths agape as amazement fills their eyes. “Snap” They fall down with wide smiles, I will them to fall into a temporary slumber as I click my fingers, for all they would do is irritate me to the core.
-----------------------------------------------------
“It was a pact!” I sit down into a chair and take a glance at my captors' limbs, they were chained, all energies were drained, this special chains took nothing but strength.
“No one will enter my territory and I will not enter theirs.” He looked at the crimson carpet below our heads furiously, trying to escape from his chains. “It was in the contract, all fortunate enough to travel, get this little book as their initial item!” says the sapling screaming, leaving no saliva to spare, he summons an item given to him by the system, It falls on the crimson floor, I descend to pick it up, a tiny book fills my hands.

“Sorry young sapling my entrance into this world was accidental, I don't belong here,” I say as I look at his changing face. “WHAT?” His mouth is a gap in his face, he looks at the side momentarily searching for something in his mind, certainly not looking in any direction.
“Do you know what the system is?” he asks “I do, actually I have seen this before,” I speak, but something catches my attention, his gaze becomes lifeless, his breaths speed up, his face fills with disgust, the man is not the same one from before. “... oooh chaos, messing with my creations aren't we?.
A crimson glow envelops him, I can't help but cringe in astonishment, his body becomes wrinkled and his body decomposes, but in all of that chaos his soul stays, the crimson light keeps it in place, by the way, souls look like the distortion a fire makes. “Dearest you have come to me again? I say relief fills me as I can see the crimson light once again. The crimson light compresses; with the soul, leaving nothing but a stone.
I pick up the stone, it shines a soft crimson in my hand, it has wrinkles everywhere, and yet it leaves a smooth feeling in the hand. “It is supposed to be impossible.” I go directly to the door.
My mystical construct floats above the clouds, I see Ba-ba looking down, standing on a visible sheet of glass. “Best- tin come with me.” I say as I grip his hand, “Quickly.” I demand.
we stand inside the mystically made construct, we use our time wisely, inspecting a crimson stone, or at least what resembles one.
“The impossible is nothing to the eyes of this crimson being, even the gods have not reached his peak. Ba-ba looks at me more bored than confused, as we are sitting on the floor. “Impossible?” He turns to the stone, silently looking at its elegant edges. “How is it impossible?” He stands up, “The old grandpa's in my last home were Apprentice shapers, even they would do a better job shaping this stone.
“Last village?” I stand up too, looking for something in his face to give me a clue. “
I'm really an unlucky child, I was born in a damp, raised in a dump and cared for in the house of the Kinkans.” He took a deep breath as he continued, daring to not look at me in the eyes. “The stables in Which you found me were their feeding grounds, I was about to kill myself by the orders of the system.”
He slightly smiled, looking at me with his brown eyes. “But you saved me, I owe you one.” he lightly punched me on the shoulder as he kept looking at the rock, I gazed too but with less attention, paralyzed in this relaxing position, I think. “Such comparisons we hold, even though combined we hold no position in this world.” I look at the rock on the crimson carpet, I take it from the floor. Leaving this red carpet, scaping quietly through an indigo door, I look upon my friend, I hold his hand prepared for any challenges ahead.
Our journey has now begun.
