No time to think just grab. I reach for water since its the easiest to grab and most populous of the little things. Gripping it with my not-hand and then slotting it into its receptacle.

Congratulations Mana affinity become Affinity: Cloud

"Cloud?!? How!" I scan the swirl and begin to notice that the mote I had grabbed was slightly paler than the already pale blue water motes.

Cloud seemed to sit about a third of the way down the list and with gaining the Affinity my Domain seemed to provide me with more in depth information. Mana was a type of energy and at the same time seemingly a state of matter. Affinities were more of a specific wavelength of said Mana also known as a Mana Axis. Cloud in particular was more of a cross of the Wind and Water axis and seemed to govern qualities of both. While pondering this the swirl of motes slowed then began to fade. The two windows closed and the motes began to melt into each other glowing brighter and brighter. It got kind of intense so I had to step out of myself returning my focus to the cave.

The cave itself was also brightly illuminated as the glow from the vertigo fueled inner space seemed to also be represented came through as a bright light shining from deep within my core. It got brighter and brighter then slowly faded leaving the once clear crystalline Core clouded full of misty swirls. Then I started leaking.

I yelped "Oy! Stop that!" Flailing uselessly at my core with my not-hand that I had grabbed the mote with earlier to no avail.

Condensation slowly coated my surface. Eventually drops coalesced enough to break water tension and slid down my surface and drip into the pool below me. This was then preceded by the drops evaporating, no diffusing, hmm un-condensing. Tendrils of white mist began to trail off of my surface to be caught in the gentle flow of air in the cave twisting round and round. It was rather hypnotic as more and more of the white vapor poured out it would drop more quickly to the floor of the cave temporarily obscuring my Core completely then finding its flow resulting in rivulets of mist dropping off the orb giving it an even greater appearance of leaking but also looking like a series of miniature waterfalls whose sources crawled across its surface.

This went on for about an hour slowly coating the entire floor until the stone could no longer be seen and the lazy decimeter thick fog bank began to spin. Swirling faster and faster becoming thready and thin in places looking like the floor was coated in cirrus clouds but quickly filling out from the ever present trickle of vapor from my Core. A depression formed under my core then spread outward revealing the pool of water then piling up almost looking like a cylindrical ridge of mountains made of clouds and settled into a cyclone. The entire floor was a miniature white fluffy hurricane slowly spinning round and round then something in the mist moved.

Monster get

Two large ears poked up from the swirling clouds their inner surface glistened with moisture while the reverse side instead of fur had tendrils of water vapor. I let out a sigh of relief, when the system had said I would be making monsters I was worried but it looked like I had lucked out and it gave me a cute little bunny. I wasn't sure how useful they would be in keeping me from getting killed but...

Tier 1 Monster Species Mist-walker Dire Hare Level 1 Mana type Cloud, Animal Skills Stealth(mist), Dash

The "fluffy bunny" stood up. It was a meter tall jack rabbit and it took a moment for the mist fur to propagate over its body letting me see thick corded muscle more like a large hunting cat than a bunny. It stretched and yawned revealing clearly omnivorous jaws with a pair of diminutive tusks poking out from beneath its lips. Pulling their ears flat and hunkering down into my little storm made it almost completely disappear. Without my domain I would have trouble pointing out where exactly it was.

I could feel a new appendage form. Not like a hand or anything I was accustomed to but it was there nonetheless. Kind of like a manifestation of will that I could use to direct the monsters that I made. The Dire Hare had taken up an automatic defensive stance here in my core room but I could, ultimately had to, direct it to perform tasks since I couldn't directly effect the world around me.

"All right little buddy. Lets see what we can do" I say as I give it a little pat with my not-hand.
