Prologue:

A contract is a symbolic relation between two beings weather living or non-living. Though one side may be dominant over the other but it is still a relationship of equal exchange.

When the world was sealed the various branches of magic perished due to their dependency on mana. But only some branches survived to their less dependency upon mana. One of them was contract users, they were able to maintain a little bit of their strength due mutating nature of the symbolic bond between the contractors.

In a magically deprived world these branches continued to exist, waiting for the mana to return. But the seal destroyed all their hope. The seal which turned their once mana rich world to a magically deprived one remained.

After many millenniums their number starts to decrease as they perished due to ending of their lifespan. Many branches were not able to maintain their long lifespan in this new world and perished.

In this new world they are forgotten as the world flourished without the power of magic and the number of branches continued to declined due to their nearly non existing power.

Many declined as all the people with knowledge died and there were no new users due to nonexistent mana. Only contract magic was able to function as it formed a bond between the users. But now the contractors were beings with born supernatural abilities which barely required mana.

But still power of contract continued to decline, as it was about to be buried and forgotten in the sands of time something changed. A crack occurred in the seal placed on the world, allowing mana to seep through the crack into this new world. 

The power of mana is now present in this new world reviving the nearly forgotten power of contract but at the same time transforming and awakening some beings in the new world to the power of mana.

Now it’s a race against time for the contract users to grow stronger in a dog eats dog world. And fight in this new and dangerous world while the change plunges the world into chaos and fear.
