*DING!*
*Initiation of the 93rd Universe confirmed. Introduction and tutorial sequence commencing*
*Preparations complete. Starting introduction*
Evan was abruptly woken up by a strange noise in his head, he opened his eyes to locate what was bothering him only to be greeted with an unfamiliar sight. In front of him was not his small dorm room like he expected, but instead a pure white room with 2 chairs, a table and a person? A human-like figure sat on the other end of the table but one that Evan was not familiar with, its eyes had no pupils and had no hair anywhere on its body.
“Where am I?” he asked the strange creature in front of him. Still groggy and now wondering if this is all some strange dream, the bright walls with no light source and strange feeling in the air adding to that theory.
“Greetings human, before I answer your question I need to explain to you the new circumstances of your reality” the creature responded. Its voice was unlike anything Evan had heard before, a blend of male and female voices together.
“First of all, allow me to welcome you to this new chapter of your life. Your universe has finally passed the minimum threshold required to enter the multiverse and has thus been initiated. To answer your question from earlier, you are in a place beyond the multiverse. This area is where new initiates such as yourself are taken before the tutorial”
Evan’s head was swimming with confusion by the time the creature finished, many questions going through his head. “What do you mean by multiverse?” he eventually decides on.
“The multiverse is a series of universes brought together, improved on, and sometimes created by the system. Your universe has been added as the 93rd by fulfilling the necessary requirements”
“What's the sys..” Evan started to respond before being greeted by a screen in front of him

At least this gives him some concrete stats although he still has no idea what the baseline of a human is. The titles tab interests him, how could he gain a title? And how come there was a G next to human? Evan wonders to himself, thinking about what to do.
Vitality seems linked to health, endurance to stamina and wisdom to mana? As in like fireball throwing magical energy? That or it just starts at 100 for everyone. The rest of the stats seem self explanatory except for maybe willpower, can this thing really affect my brain like that?
After thinking about this for a little bit, Evan had inferred a couple things. First was that magic exists in this ‘multiverse’ to some degree, if teleporting into another dimension wasn't enough to prove that then the mana stat was. Evan was both excited and terrified at this idea, one person could have the power to kill him with a wave of a wand, but he could also have that power.
Secondly, judging by the stats on his screen he decided that this new world he is being brought to and by extension the tutorial, is not a safe fun place. Evan is going to be at the bottom of the food chain, having only just gotten a system that has seemingly been around a long time.
Suddenly he realizes hes being stupid. Why am I spending so much time making inferences when there's a… thing in front of me that knows all this stuff! Evan thinks, knowledge is power after all and he has a feeling he's not going to get another chance like this.
“Why is there no class or profession for me?” he asks the being in front of him, who has been sitting quietly.
“Your class is chosen upon entering the tutorial. This class shall be the starting point of your journey and help guide your path. A profession becomes available through performing associated tasks with said profession, either for a long enough period of time or through competence in said tasks. Classes are focused on the pursuit of strength, while professions are the path of creativity, rarely offering direct increases in strength. You level up through a wide variety of actions.”
“Ok, what do I get when I level up? How do I increase my stats, or gain a title? How do I use my resource pools? What sorts of classes or professions are there? Will you be able to answer my questions in the tutorial? Where are my roommates? What is the tutorial like?” Evan rapid fires any question he could think of that would be semi useful to know

“Stat gains are gained on each level up or on rare occasions through training. You can see your gains for each level by focusing on the class, race or profession in your system screen. Resources are used through skills or separately through work, I cannot answer the rest of your questions”
“Wait so could I use mana without the use of a skill?” Evan asks unbothered by the information it can’t provide”
“Yes that is theoretically possible although with low stats you will be severely limited in power”
“What are skills? How do I get them?”
“Skills are special abilities granted by the system, some grant knowledge, others powers or proficiencies. You gain skills through class and profession levels or rarely through practice or proficiency” it says and then continues “I cannot give you any more information on this world, if you wish to gain more information you will have to explore the tutorial itself and test on your own. Here are your class choices.”
As it finished another screen popped up in front of Evan showing 6 choices.
Warrior (Light) – Basic starting class. A light-class warrior focused on quick attacks, evasion, and finesse. While faster than both the medium and heavy variants, it comes with a decrease in attack power and survivability. Mainly uses weapons such as rapiers, daggers, small hatchets, and throwing weapons. Stat bonuses: +2 Agi, +1 End, +1 Str, +1 Vit, +1 Free point.
Warrior (Medium) – Basic starting class. A medium-class warrior, focused on a balanced approach to combat, finding a compromise between speed and power. While faster than the heavy variant, it is slower than the light-class warriors. While survivability and power are higher than the light-class variant, it is lower than the heavy-class warriors. Able to use a vast array of weapons of both the heavy and light variants. Stat bonuses per level: +1 Agi, +1 End, +1 Vit, +1 Str +1 Tough, +1 Free Point
Warrior (Heavy) – Basic starting class. A heavy-class warrior, focused on power and survivability while sacrificing speed and variance. The heavy-warrior is slower with a less varied approach than both the light and medium class, but in turn, gains great power and survivability. Mainly uses weapons such as a combo of one-handed and a shield or a two-handed weapon. Generally lacking solid ranged options. Stat bonuses per level: +2 Str, +1 Tough +1 Vit, +1 End, +1 Free Point.
Archer – A basic starting class. A class focused on ranged combat, mainly using bow and arrow, coupled with light options for melee such as short-swords and daggers. The class is fast and flexible, focusing on agility over strength. Stat bonuses per level: +2 Per, +1 Agi, +1 End, +1 Str, +1 Free Point
Caster – A basic starting class. The caster is focused on the magical combat, favoring wisdom and knowledge over brawn and speed. The basic class is non-attuned, meaning not yet specialized in any element or type of magic, thus limited in power, but wide in scope. Casters wield powerful destructive abilities, though often lacking in defensive options. The class mainly uses catalysts such as staves, idols, relics, or wands in order to amplify the power of magic. Stat bonuses per level: +2 Int, +1 Wis, +1 Will, +1 Per, +1 Free Point.
Healer – A basic starting class. The healer can mend injuries, remove afflictions, and amplify the power of themselves and/or their comrades. The basic class is non-attuned, meaning not yet specialized in any deific powers or types of magic, thus limited in power, but wide in scope. The class is weak in solo combat, lacking offensive options, but powerful when surrounded by allies. Stat bonuses per level: +2 Will, +2 Wis, +1 Int, +1 Free Point.
Evan looked through the options in front of him. Light warrior seemed to be the rogue/assassin, Medium warrior was a classic knight and heavy was a tank. Evan quickly removed those from his options, he didn't have any practice with weapons and wasn't too keen on being up close and personal with enemies.
After narrowing it down to the last three, Evan thought about his decision. He didn't want to be reliant on a team too much as he had no idea if he would even be with others in the tutorial so he eliminated the healer as well.
And then there were two… He thought to himself The archer class would allow me to be a lot safer, granting both agility and endurance. I've never handled a bow but the system would probably take care of that to some extent. On the other hand magic is awesome and would provide a lot of versatility, it's also the most unknown though.
After thinking it through, Evan finally made a decision and decided to become a caster. Childish? Maybe but it's his decision and he's always been fascinated by the unknown so he's not gonna let it out of his grasp now.
*You have obtained the Caster class*
*Gained Skill*: [Magic-tool proficiency (inferior)]- A caster’s wand is their most prized item, without the proper tool a caster is only half as powerful as they could be. Grants minor proficiency in magical tools such as wands, staves, relics or idols to boost your spellcasting.
*Gained Skill*: [Mana bolt (common)]- one of the most basic spells learned by apprentice casters. This spell creates a bolt of pure energy that can be sent at foes. Accuracy, damage and speed of casting dependent on Per, Int and Will respectively.
*Gained Skill*: [Mana barrier (inferior)]- Casters are usually feeble and need all the protection they can get. Upon cast, creates a weak mana barrier at the point desired. The further away chosen the weaker it becomes. Accuracy, damage and speed of casting dependent on Per, Int and Will respectively.
Reading through his new skills, Evan felt a little disappointed. He wasn't expecting a meteor spell but couldn't he have at least gotten some sort of mana control or mana sense or something? He chose this class for the versatility and being able to do whatever he wanted but in hindsight maybe he was expecting too much.
Whatever, if I don't have a skill for seeing mana yet I'll make one. If I can even do that, I know way too little about this world to be jumping to crazy conclusions.
The mana bolt seems pretty good at least, and my stats seem to be tailor made for being a mage so perhaps I made the right decision after all. Evan thought to himself as he noticed there are now items on the table.
“What is this?” He asks the human-like person still sitting across from him
“They are basic starting equipment based on your starting class. Now, on to the final step of the introduction. Some necessities are given to all new initiates of the system. I would recommend equipping them quickly as our time is coming to an end soon and all items not on your person will be lost”
Given the go ahead from the pupil-less man, Evan approached the items. On the table there was a wand, a cloak and a satchel in front of him. Evan looked at the wand closely, blue lines ran up and down its wooden texture, suddenly he was met with a system message.
*Gained skill*: [Identify (Inferior)] – Basic identification skill, known by all but the smallest of children of the myriad races. The skill allows you to attempt to identify any object or creature you are focusing on.
Not bad, he thought could do without the inferior though. After reading his new skill for a bit he was brought back to reality and realized he was on a timer. Evan quickly put on the cloak and put the satchel across his body, he could look in the contents later but could not afford to miss it. Grabbing his wand he finally felt like a true wizard.
“One minute till the start of the tutorial” he heard the human-like creature say as he swished his wand around. I wonder if I could try channeling my magic energy through it he thought and began to channel an energy he didn't know he had. The wand soaked it up like a sponge and started to glow. The feeling of using mana was invigorating! like he was guiding a river with nothing but his hands. He continued to pump mana into the thing until suddenly it stopped taking his mana. Now curious on what happens when a wand is overloaded, Evan tried to force his mana through and suddenly the wand started to heat up at a crazy pace.
“OW" Evan shouted and dropped his searing hot wand. Note to self don't mess with magic he thought when suddenly he heard a now familiar robotic voice enter his head
