Chapter 0 - Prologue

-Prologue-

“I can give you the world.”

A child with glowing red eyes that illuminated majestically with the starry night sky said in a soft, persuasive voice. She was flying in the air with angel like wings. Though she might have looked like an angel, one difference would be that her wings were black. Pure black.

Normally, one would find it hard to tell the gender of this creature if not of the help of the light pink one piece dress she was wearing.

“You can give me the world. But will you?”

A smirk appeared on the child’s face after my reply. The child’s index finger then lightly poked my chest before moving downwards towards my lower region. Usually physical contact with a girl as beautiful as her would spark a hinge of excitement, but her actions only sparked anger in me. Ultimately, a face filled with disappointment was shown before the child let out a sigh.

“You have not gotten excited at all since our contract was formed. What’s the matter?”

“What’s the matter you ask?! I am betraying all that I have worked for. The people that helped me since I came to this world. Everyone that I know. Can’t I be afraid of what I might cause? What my actions might lead too? People will die, there is no doubt about that… all that for my selfish desire.”

The child’s face changed. She no longer had the face of disappointment, in fact her face was filled with joy. Her grin was almost inhuman by how far it stretched across her face. My outrage seemed to have sparked a light in her. This was probably the last thought I would have before I lose my humanity. There was no going back.

“You jest. My dear Syoko… have you forgotten? You were the one who wanted revenge. You were the one who awaken me. And you were the one… who formed the contract. There is no going back and you probably have the desire to see the world burn. No?”

The child was right. My heart was throbbing faster than it ever did. It was out of excitement of what is to come. The destruction of mankind, the race of the people who were my allies not too long ago. They betrayed me, left me for dead. But with her, anything is possible. My revenge would be fulfilled.

That child is no angel. She is a demon. Her face was that of an innocent child, but her personality was a whole different story. Perhaps if I had the ability to go back in time, I could stop myself from ever meeting this fiend. If only, if only.
