'What a horrible day. How could it get any worse?' This thought crossed through my mind, as I sat on my computer, letting out a sigh.
No, I was not actually sitting on my computer. You get what I- Anyway, let's start again. I got a job, and things seemed tough enough with there being fewer and fewer jobs. Didn't have much time to shave, so I just kept a trimmed beard. Didn't feel the same cravings towards food and didn't eat much.
Sitting along for hours on end, I just knew I was close to being the next big coder; or at least at understanding the issue at hand.
This day was over. It was 9 in the night. I left the office without a lot of interaction. I guess the day wasn't that bad after all. I managed to actually get some real work done, too.
Travelling through the subway, I made it home, thinking how much more easier it would be if the main product could just have a better interface. There would be way less issues because of this. I was thinking of redesigning the whole product line. Imagine how cool it would be, to walk into office, showing the client exactly what they wanted, and getting both the money, and the praise. All the applause, the excitement; the respect. 'Isn't that all I've ever wanted?'
Changing into my casual clothes, I scratched my belly and yawned. "I guess it's time to go to sleep."
So, anyway, I spent the night coding and finally solving one out of ten issues.
With a half crooked smile in my lonely home, in my lonely bed, I tweaked as I said, "I finally- I did it." It was now 9 o'clock in the morning. I knew I couldn't make it to office today. I was too... tired.
Collapsing almost unconsciously onto bed, I began my best sleep yet. So comforting, yet vividly freeing. It was almost as if I was soaring the skies.

"Wh- What? Another lucid dream? This feels to real." Staring at a blue transparent screen in the middle of white nothingness, there were only the words, 'Welcome'. I could feel the blood through my veins, and see my body as it was. There was nothing here but me and this screen.
[System: The trial has begun.]
[System: You have 5 years to kill 5 others from your world. Should you fail, you shall permanently be stuck in this world.]
"Fuck! What?" I jumped back as two more screens popped out of nowhere. The welcome screen had disappeared.
[System: You will be granted a system, like the other 5. With this system, come skills. Choose your skill wisely.]
[System: Choose your skill, "Coder".]
"God Dammit! Go slower! I barely read the last two screens!"
And just as I was done speaking, these screens disappeared as well. I didn't read this properly either.
'But... why am I reading in a dream? Is this a sign? Should I read more books? What is the meaning of life? Is this symbolic to me being slow? Am I indirectly calling myself retarded through this dream?'

'...... Am I... RETARDED?'
When my profound brain was finally done looking through the scraps of godly knowledge, I looked back at what was remaining; a single popup.

"So I have to choose between a cheat system, being P*kachu, diabetes, and birds. Great."
Now normally, I would choose diabetes. But it's my dream, fuck it.
"I CHOOSE BIRDS!!" Yelling, as I not so normally do, I clicked the Bird Attack skill in my lucid dream of idiocy. Or perhaps, I am merely maddened by my sheer genius. Who is to say?

"Heh?" said I, with a crooked face as the screen disappeared. And like a box, the white nothingness opened up to reveal what was, the top of a forest. For a second, I saw the beauty of mother nature and its offerings, with the perspective of the top of the pine like trees.
Then this part, I call, "The Falling", which I will take revenge for, later.
Tumbling down from nothingness to everything, I fell to the hard, earth land with the branches of the trees breaking my fall.
With a knee now heavily bruised I cried, "Ow. Ouch. B*tch. F*CK!! M*THERF*CKIN' T*TTY B*TCH!! WHAT IN THE F****CKKKKKK!!"
When all the yelling was finally over, and I had managed to mitigate some of the pain through words, I was stunted with the presence of a 4 foot-tall bull running in my direction. In fear, I put my tilted head back to the ground as flat as possible.
In silence, I watched, as the bull almost passed by my shivering body, and placed it's balls right in front of my face. "Bollocks."
Without really putting an effort into the 'why' of the situation, I yelled "Bird Attack!" like a 12-year-old b*tch who watched too much anime. And no, I am not 12 years old. I'm just comparing- You know what? Never mind. This needs no explanation. And why am I even talking in my head?
Anyway, birds shot out of my eyes, attacking the red bull's red balls. The birds disappeared and so did the bull, yet only one thing was certain; the bull's balls were now blue.
