Hey there,
It's been a little while since I last posted on here, so I figured I'd go ahead and offer a small update in regard to the status of the Classless Sorcerer.
Most importantly, I just wanted to communicate that this series will be continuing. I gave it some serious thought over the last few weeks, taking all of the feedback I've received since then, and ultimately decided that this was the story I wanted to pursue long-term.
So, when can you expect the next volume to drop?
Well, volume two is a much larger undertaking than volume one, both in terms of scale and scope, featuring a wider array of characters, factions, and intrigues for our hero to involve himself with, which is why I'm working hard to make sure that there's a level of polish before posting any further. I've taken some really great feedback from volume one, and have been utilizing it to expand upon Blychert's skills, abilities, magic, and the system-side of things in a little more detail, as well as continuing to maintain the dramatic/slice of life elements that are core to this series. As it happens, bigger city also means bigger and badder dungeon, which in turn means bigger and badder adventuring parties to contend with, so look forward to that. Volume two is a direct sequel to volume one, so the themes and mysteries present in that book will continue to be explored in this volume as well, especially where Blychert and his relationship to the system is concerned.
All of which is a long way of saying, more Classless Sorcerer is on the way. I'm going to consider this a soft relaunch of what will be my only series moving forward, which means barring any extraordinary circumstances, there won't be any other long hiatuses after volume two launches, since I'll hopefully have my backlog of chapters sorted out by then. This means we'll just keep going until my fingers fall off, I suppose >_<

[Synopsis]
Frostwall—the stalwart city once protected by the ancient magics of the Bloodwood—lies on the edge of uncertainty. An all but fatal accident in the depths of the city's prestigious Silver Vault dungeon leaves the king's firstborn and heir lying near death. And his second-born, possessed of a fell and roguish class that many consider to be unbefitting of a Calvergia's crown, lacks the heart and the wherewithal to face a reality that looks likely to manifest.
In the absence of a grieving king, the Guild and Frostwall's distinguished Adventuring Hall contend for power; the former intent to establish its footing in the kingdom, whatever the cost, and the latter determined to prevent such foreign power from wedging itself between centuries' of tradition. As political unrest spills over into the streets, the same can be said of outside the great curtain wall, where the Frost Giants of Icestone undertake relentless raids up and down the Hvenes river. The elusive agents led by a mysterious master of blood magic also threaten to unravel an otherwise contentious peace; perhaps drawn to the ley lines that converge on the city's dungeon, which have grown more restless in recent months than ever before.
Blychert, a classless sorcerer accompanied by his master Bartolo, arrives in the city at an auspicious hour. His regrouping with his friends and Bold Arrow as a whole promises fortune and glory, thus fulfilling his own personal call to adventure. However, the ominous visions he experienced back in the Gleaming Caves still haunt him. And what's more, the same kind of disturbances that plagued the dungeon of Kelvalder seem to have begun in Frostwall's too, spelling uncertain disaster in waiting. Unable to dispose of his mysterious affliction, Bly chooses instead to let them act as his guide. Though in doing so, he soon finds himself put in the path of an unlikely rogue, whose own search for resolution may very well hold the key to the answers that Bly seeks for himself, but whose ominous plight may just as easily drag Bly down into even further peril than he's faced this year already.
Secrets lie deep in the ancient stones of Calvergia, where frost and fable meet. And if Blychert isn't careful, his classless abilities might not be able to pull him out this time around.
