He had been in this world for a long time, even when the humans were still living on Earth, yet this was the first time he had ever felt like this.
It was one more step to freedom when suddenly a net of high-voltage wires dropped, ensnaring Rusty. As his systems shorted out, he caught a glimpse of a figure approaching. The air seemed to chill with her presence. In her hand, an EternaCorp-issued tablet – to everyone watching, it was clear that for her, this was not just a mere tool but a symbol of control. Behind her, stood neatly in formation, a line of EternaCorp special enforcer units.
