The world that they know it, finally comes to an end. The day turns into night, The rich earthen soil crumbles into nothingness, The air ashen and gray. The cities are ravaged and burnt, as the screams of millions echo throughout the darkened sky. A jagged storm, one that brings destruction upon the denizens of the world. It cleaves the buildings, leaving them exposed for torrents of corrupt spawns to pour through, tendrils of the ancients, latches onto unsuspecting victims to be devour their insatiable hunger.

In a back alleyway, a group of family tries to shelter themselves, hoping for the storm ,that will never pass, to not notice them. Every so often, they hear screams of unfortunate victims, reminding them of the looming dangers. After constant non-ending sounds of torments, and with hunger lashing out at them, one of the child soon gives in and sob pitifully. The mother quickly tries to hush the hungry child, but it is already far too late. A deafening roar vibrates the air, and it didn't take long as voice of something heavy breaking through the flimsy defenses of their shelter walls.

The father of the family of three girls, tries his utmost to defend or at least stall for his family, but the hulking monstrosity quickly charges through him. It’s tendril like horn goring the poor man, followed with the sound of bones cracking under pressure. The cries of the girls for their now dead father fell into deft ear to the monster as it approaches slowly, grinning menacingly, as if enjoying their sufferings.

All of a sudden three bolts of light pierced through the thick hides of the monster, causing to howl in pain. It faces its aggressor, only to see three more bolts of light piercing into its eyes, rewarding the beast with a quick death.

There stood the white wolf, shimmering with light, yet bloody and injured from her previous battle with the corrupted. She silently reloads her ark pistol and approaches the widow and her three children. The widow silently weeps for her brave husband’s death and faces her savior. The white wolf, silent and weary, speaks out, “It is no longer safe here, once they pick up the scent of one of their spawns, they will quickly find you and nothing will stop them from killing you. I suggest to quickly leave this area.”

The widow silently shakes her head, “I am sorry my lady but there is nowhere left to run, even if there is, I will only slow you down.” The widow quickly reveals her leg, underneath the long skirt. Her left leg, nowhere to be seen, instead a mere stump which shows signs of infection.

The white wolf silently close her eyes as she tries to think of a solution but quickly interrupted with long howl, which signalled that the corrupted were close by. She quickly curses for her lack of time and observes her surrounding. Seeing nothing to be used to even her odds, she quickly unsheath her long sword that glows and hums with light, ready to defend the mobs of defiled and corrupt alike. From the corner of the alley, a group of lean humanoid entity slowly emerges.

These humanoids have jutting bones and spikes from their limbs and one eye in the middle of their faces like a cyclop. Upon spotting their prey, there eye start to glow in a deep red color, and veins start to become visible underneath their blackened skin. Excited, they charge at the white wolf, who pulls out her ark pistol and fires quick bursts onto her enemies. The energy beam hits their targets and takes down five of these quick foes but one manages to use the rest as a shield and lunges at her. Although these lean, feral beasts were inhumanly fast, it was no match for The white wolf, who quickly cleaves the ghoul in two.

Seeing as there are no more enemies approaching her, she quickly returns the widow’s side. She growls, “We do not have enough time we need to leave now or-” She was interrupted again but this time it came from above. She looks up to see the storm hurling down upon them, finally seeing a juicy target. She did not have enough time to defend and tries to shields the mother and her children by using herself as a shield. It did nothing as the tendrils rips the poor survivors underneath her, not even chance to scream. Her vision going red as she is covered with her blood and the victims underneath her. After what seems like an endless hour, the Tendrils stop and retreated. She weakly opens her eyes to see the women and her children nowhere to be seen, only pools of blood signalling they were once there. All around her the building are flattened, as if it never existed.

She stands up resisting the pain that screams and burns her. The storm waits patiently as it notices the wolf get up once more to resist. Not giving up she lets out a howl, like a primal wolf. Her form changing as her body gradually lighting the surrounding as if she was a star.

The storm lost its patience and quickly launches its tendril and its minions to finish her once and for all, yet she resists, her sword glowing as if part of her and eviscerates the tendrils that blocks her path.

Resisting the sheer strength of the corrupted and hacking at the oncoming waves of nightmarish beasts, she knows she cannot hold out much longer. Soon she will lose all her strength and become food to these beings. Although she holds onto her life, she could see her strength is now failing her. Her shining light slowly dwindling down as the darkness continues to stream hordes of enemies into her way. She knows she cannot hold out longer. She howls in rage as she drives her blade into the ground.

Upon piercing the ground, the earth hums to life, the air around her becomes heavy. The air then starts to whirl until it creates a sphere beside her. The sphere burst into light creating a rift between her and the corrupted. Then a cold shivering water brings Bianca back to reality.
