Prologue

The events that transpired at the beginning of the Age of Shadows, when the sun inexplicably ceased to rise, were undoubtedly some of the most tumultuous in the history of our world. Initially, the people were dismissive, believing that it was nothing more than a temporary occurrence that would soon pass. However, as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, they began to realize the gravity of the situation. The sun was gone, and it may never return.

Countless theories emerged to explain the cause of the Eternal Night. Some claimed that a witch had cast a curse upon the world, while others believed that a magical experiment had gone awry. There were even those who speculated that the Demon God himself had been resurrected and was responsible for this apocalyptic event.

Fear and uncertainty gripped the hearts of the people, and they began to flee to the safety of the major cities, as the villages were now vulnerable to the monsters that roamed the eternal darkness. However, the cities themselves were not without their own problems. The sudden influx of people, coupled with the scarcity of resources, created a rift between the nobles and the commoners, with the former living in opulence while the latter struggled to survive.

As time passed, the madness that had taken hold of the world only grew worse. The very fabric of society began to unravel, and it seemed as though the end of all things was nigh. What truly caused the Eternal Night, we may never know for certain. However, what we do know is that it was a time of great darkness, and it forever changed the course of history.
