To the south, in the kingdom of Iron Heart, the clang of hammers against anvil echoed through the mountainous landscape. The kingdom was known for its master blacksmiths, who crafted some of the finest weapons and armor in all of Andouré. Among them was a young Dwarf named Gram, whose heart burned with a desire to be both a Great Blacksmith and a warrior.
Gram worked tirelessly in the forge of his mentor, Olfgar, a grizzled old Dwarf who had seen many years and many battles. Olfgar had taught him the art of smithing, but Gram’s dreams went beyond just crafting weapons. He wanted to wield them himself—to become the very embodiment of strength and skill.
One day, as Gram hammered a glowing piece of iron, Olfgar approached with a grim look on his face. “I’ve heard rumors, lad. Dark things are coming. There’s talk of war, and strange happenings in the lands to the north.”
Gram paused in his work, sweat dripping from his brow. “And what does that have to do with me?”

Olfgar studied him for a moment, then spoke in a low, gravelly voice. “It means you’ll need more than just a forge. You’ll need to be ready for what’s to come.”
Gram’s eyes burned with determination. “I’ll forge the weapons that will save us.”
Olfgar grunted in approval, but then handed Gram a map, the edges worn and frayed. “This is a map to the Mines of Eldunor, deep within the mountains. Legend says there is a rare metal hidden there—something that could make the finest sword, the strongest armor. Go there, if you must, but be warned: the journey is perilous. There are things in those mountains that no Dwarf should ever face alone.”
Gram accepted the map with a nod, his mind already racing with thoughts of the treasure hidden within Eldunor. He had never been one to shy away from danger, especially when the stakes were this high. As he left Olfgar’s forge, Gram knew that this journey would not just be about crafting weapons. It would be about proving to himself that he was worthy of both the title of Great Blacksmith and the title of warrior.
