Odey and I have been walking for quite a bit of time now, but nothing seems to smell much like food. Not sure if food is even an option at this point. Alas I believe we might die out here, with no dads or mums to hold us and deliver the head pats of safety.
OR SO I FOOLISHLY ALLOWED MYSELF TO BELIEVE! For something was different all of a sudden. My tiny cat beans had a little tap, my tail was on the hunt, my eyes felt as if they could see more, but my nose. My nose suddenly felt as if it was smelling everything. All at once, my Cheese Cake senses felt like they could do more.
Pooooot
Red. My body was not undergoing any changes, no, I had to fart. That’s fine, if i had to go then i had to go. You know? WAIT! NO, IT CAN’T BEE!
“Big Cat! Do you smell that!?”
“No, I just smell grass and mud.” Odey really doesn’t smell that? I immediately start looking around us. I smell people, I know I do. It's what my short dad smells like after being outside all day. Time slowed down as if she wanted me to notice everything, she wanted me to pick up on all her little hints. I sniff around, looking for something. The tall grass leans slightly to the right, there's a tree with what looks like a broken branch, and some big mud hills. Wait wait wait. The grass isn’t all like that, there are two different points where the grass breaks pattern and slants to the left. That left slant looks like two little paths, maybe 3 Odeys apart from one another. Along with that, the mud hills perfectly mirror this pattern right next to the breaks in the grass. It seems to keep going past the tree, I’m pretty sure if I could just-
“Big Cat, can you lift me up to that broken branch, I need to climb it.” Without even questioning me, He bows his head and waits for me to climb on board. Big Cat takes me over to the branch and I hurry up. The cool breeze can finally touch my soft coat, The tall grass can’t block what is in front of me any more. It’s a little city. A very very tiny city, I wonder what you call a very very tiny city.
“What do you see, Cheese Cake?”
“A very very little city”
“Like a Town? Or a village?”
“Big Cat, How do you know so many more words than me?”

“I don’t know, My mom loves words, so maybe her?”
“Okay, Well If we follow the grass pass we should find people, and people have food”
Climbing down a tree isn’t as easy as it seems in the movies, nor the books. Sure I bet it would have been funny to see one of the smelly cats lose their footing and not have fallen to their four paws. Odey on the other hand does thinks it’s funny for me to have not fallen on my four paws! He did help me up however, so I can’t be too upset. I’m sure if he was the one to have slipped I would have also let out a couple chuckles here and there. Besides me sipping out of the tree it felt good having an overall idea of where we should be going. However I don't think we’re going to make it when the sun is still up in the sky. I don’t really want to sleep on mud again, but with no food in my stomach or even water, I don’t know if I can even live long enough to get to the town village thingy. I wonder if Odey is feeling the same way I am right now. I should be keeping a better eye on Big Cat, I need him to be okay too, he has a mum waiting for him. Maybe if you walk back and forth just like smaller dad an idea will pop up like a mouse popping out of the sky.
Back and forth
Back and forth, back and forth back and forth forth and back
Fourth and back, back and back.
Wait. What did I do, Forth and back or was it back and forth. Ugh! That’s not the point Cheese Cake, You need to find a way to feed you aaNDD BIG CAT. But how?
“Cheese Cake, It’s going to start raining soon, I think we should just stay here tonight. I don’t really want to walk under the moon.” Big Cat put his big paw on my head and smiled. I feel silly. Asking for another's thoughts never crossed my mind, I should remember this skill for the rest of my life-flea-hats.
“Yes, I do agree with you big cat. But What about Food and water? Aren’t we going to die if we don’t eat?”
“No, I go by without food and water sometimes. And I’m still alive.” I can’t believe my ears! Big cat, Odey the knowledgeable, has been through so much. He must know all the wonders of the house.
We made camp at the tree we found, It did good at keeping us mostly dry. Odey and I told each other about our families and how we felt waking up without them by our sides. All the while my seances tingled and screamed at me. I knew we were being watched, I know they wanted to cuddle with us, but the idea of letting stinky cats know that we care makes my already sick tummy hurt even more.
The rain was making it hard to keep my guard up, it was basically singing Big cat and I to sleep. And by the time I felt the two stinkys ball-up in Odey’s soft warm coat, I was too sleepy to want to fight.
No cat wants to sleep alone in a scary new cold wet world. So, just for tonight.
Nat: So now Cheese Cake has her whole party. Dr. Owen, Johnny, And Odey. One must wonder, how did this happen? How indeed.
