The Cemetery

It was the second field trip of the year for Jesse and his friends. They had already gone to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Now they were headed to Washington D.C. Jesse didn't care much for the field trip, but his best friend Adam was ecstatic. Adam was a history buff and he loved all the monuments, and he couldn't stop talking about how many cool things he was going to get to see.

The only thing Jesse had ever been excited about on a school field trip was goofing off when away from the teacher and the rest of the class. This would ofcourse piss off Adam, but Adam indulged in his friend as he got to see some unique things he would have never seen.

"I heard there is a nude beach in D.C.," said Jesse, "I don't care if I have to swim naked or not, but it might be fun. There could be naked girls. You have to come with me, we can bring your sister and she can bring her friend, what was her name? Oh yeah, Ashley? And Ashley can bring her friend and the whole gang can go."

"Nude beach? What are you crazy? How the heck are we going to get out of sight of our group, or the bus driver?

“We’ll find a way don’t worry.”

"You can't be serious. The beach is probably miles away. And what makes you think that the girls are going to want to go?"

"Oh c'mon man, you know you want to see some naked girls.”

“Ew, you're disgusting.”

Adam wasn’t the type to talk about girls or any sexual stuff. He wasn’t gay, it was just that kind of stuff that made him feel uncomfortable. He was just more interested in his studies.

Jesse wasn't a bad guy, he was just a little perverted and thought a lot with his dick. Hormones were a bitch when you were in eighth grade.

"I'm telling you dude, once you see some naked boobies you'll be hooked. I bet you won't be able to concentrate on anything else. But you can't tell anyone. We are going to have to come up with a plan to ditch the tour group."

Adam knew it would be no use trying to convince Jesse not to go through with his plan. Adam as always caved to the idea of ditching.

After some time their school bus finally stopped at Arlington Cemetery. After walking around a bit Jesse and Adam noticed that the entire tour group had gone to look at something.

"Hey, let's take this time and see if we can make a break for it"

"Okay, let’s go to the bathroom.”

Both boys asked their guide where the bathroom was and proceeded to walk away from the group.

“We should go see JFK’s grave here,” Adam said as he walked into the men's bathroom.

"Yeah, maybe after the nude beach. We don't have a lot of time," Jesse joked.

They were both looking for a way to escape.

The two found an open window in the boys bathroom and helped each other climb out. The other men in the bathroom thought, what a bunch of odd young boys. After the daring two made their escape they ran across the field of graves until they were sure they were out of sight from their guide and class.

"This is so awesome," said Jesse, "we are almost free."

"Free from what, you do realize the field trip isn't over? We will have to go back sometime."

"Well yeah, I mean free from the group and having to be stuck with all the teachers. They’re all so boring.”

“It’s not their fault that they are boring, they only appear to be because that's what you name of them Jesse.”

"No, they're boring."

"I don't think the word you are looking for is boring, I think you meant uncool"

"No, boring."

"Ugh, I can't argue with you.”

Jesse smiles knowing that he’s able to piss off Adam at any moment. They had known each other for years and practically had grown up together.

Jesse looked down and noticed that a man's hand had come out of the ground.

"Look a zombies hand."

"Jesse, we're at a cemetery. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a ghost.”

Jesse then decided to have a little fun and kicked the hand.

“What are you doing.” Adam yelled, "Are you stupid?"

Jesse laughed, "I just wanted to see if I could get a reaction out of the person down there.

The hand then grabbed Jesse by the ankle and pulled him to the ground. The two boys started screaming and yelling, but no one would look over at them. The hand was constricting Jesse’s leg. The flesh started stripping off of the hand until bone was showing.

Adam then runs away from Jesse.

“Adam WHAT THE FUCK,” Jesse screamed.

Jesse starts to feel a warm liquid dripping down his ankle and looks down to find the blood.

"Holy Shit, what the fuck is going on. GET OFF ME YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

Adam then returns with a rock and starts beating the hand off Jesse’s leg. Eventually, the hand breaks into pieces, but a few pieces are still hanging on. Adam and Jesse try to pull them off, but they are stuck. Jesse takes off his shirt and wraps it around his leg. The two run as fast as they can. Jesse limped and Adam dragged him along. They run and don’t stop till they return to their group. They start screaming, yelling, and telling their story with a look of confusion from everyone. All their classmates stumbled on the looks the boys had on their faces. The teacher and guide looked irritated. They thought Jesse and Adam were pulling a prank, but the boys insisted on what they saw. Then one of the girls in their class spoke. “Why’s your shirt on your leg?” “Cause I’m bleeding,” Jesse shouted back. “No, you’re not.” Adam removed Jesse’s shirt from his leg to find nothing. No blood, no marks, nothing. They were baffled.

Jesse looked up at the teacher and saw her expression had changed. She went from irritated to furious. She chastised them the entire bus ride back and told them they would never be allowed to go on a field trip again.

The boys felt confused, they started to question everything as this event had traumatized them forever.
