Getting on the ship with Carlaile and several of his officers, Kree sat down and buckled herself. Within a few minutes the ship took off, and Kree gazed out the window. She didn't see if the Tin-Can had taken off yet. Turning her gaze to the floor, she put her hands together and closed her eyes.
"Your crewmates got clearance to take off and directions to the nearest, safest Una Heirarchy system," Carlaile said "And the ship along anyone on it has been given refugee status, meaning they will be able to look for shelter at any planet that is inhabited by our people."
Kree looked up at Carlaile before nodding "Thank you. You didn't have to do it."
"Neither did you have to surrender peacefully. But you did, and your crewmates didn't try to stop us. Now I just hope their departure won't bring upon us the ire of the Uma Federation."
"Why would it bring the ire-" Realization struck Kree as the colour faded from her expression "Send ships to help escort them out safely! Don't let the Uma attack them just for leaving the planet! Please!"
Carlaile shook his head "I am not incharge of what the spaceships do. And even if I was, to do so would only raise the Uma's suspicion. We need to hope the Uma won't notice as we bring you over, that is their best chance."
Looking away from Carlaile, Kree bit her lip. Fists formed and she hit her knees, while tears rolled down her cheeks.
"That's our best chance? That's suicide." she whispered.
Carlaile put his hands together in front of his face and remained silent. The remainder of the flight to the Uma Federation fleet consisted of nothing but silence.
As the ship arrived at the Uma fleet, they got told to land in the biggest ship, and as soon as they did, the ship got surrounded by Uma Federation troops, all aiming rifles at the ship. A single person, with numerous medals on his jacket, approached the ship.
"Send out the criminal! Only the criminal! Afterwards, you will depart immediately back to the planet. Any deviations will result in being fired upon by our forces."
Kree unbuckled herself and stepped towards the ship door as it opened.
"I apologize for how things turned out, captain Kree'aria."
Turning her gaze to him, Carlaile saw Kree's expression was emotionless.
"Your apology means nothing."
And with those words, she got off, and walked towards the Uma official that gave the orders. The ship started its engines, started to take off out of the ship, and soon after got blasted with several cannons. Kree glanced at the explosion with shock, before looking back at the official.
"Hmpf. That takes care of them. Come now prisoner, before my men start shooting at you."
"Why? Why'd you kill them off like that? They agreed to your every term!" Kree shouted.
"Why? Oh why indeed. Non of your goddamn business why. You," He pointed at a nearby soldier "Frisk her. Make sure she is not carrying anything she shouldn't be in possession of."
The soldier nodded and approached, but as soon as he did, Kree moved at him, grabbing his top and spinning, before releasing him, throwing him at several of his fellow soldiers.
Before she could take another step, gunfire was heard, and Kree felt an intense pain in her leg, followed by an intense electric shock that went through her entire body, paralyzing her and causing her to fall against the floor.
"Tsk tsk, little fly. We have orders to not kill you, but we can still harm you just enough to ensure you don't cause us trouble as we take you to your imprisonment," The official, who was holding his pistol, approached her and grabbed a hold of one of her folded wings "We were told to ensure your wings remain in tact, but we can always make you obedient by removing other parts, while still keeping you alive. Now, two of you, frisk her! Before I start shooting you lot!"
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
He stepped away and allowed the soldiers to look over Kree, and they removed her inner-ear translator, before tossing it to the official. She couldn't understand anything they said from this point, but his expression was despeciable enough for her to understand she was in deep trouble.
The official then came and kicked her injured leg a few times, causing surges of pain with each kick, before her hands and legs were cuffed, along with a chain around her neck, which she quickly learned what it was for, as it started sending several electric shocks into her after each time the official pressed a button on a small remote. She was trying hard to not faint from the pain.
As two soldiers picked her up, the official came and pushed the translator into her ear.
"Wouldn't want you to miss any of our talks. And I need you to talk."
Kree just breathed heavily as she turned her gaze to him.
"Oh, about what? There are a number of topics until we arrive at the Uma Interstellar Prison. But I think first, we need to get you changed," The official said, grabbing her jacket and shirt and ripping them into pieces "Get her into prisoner attire. Preferably one that's already been used. The Grand Federalli Council may want her simply imprisoned forever, but until we bring her to the prison, I want to learn why. So toss her into the solitary cell."
The soldiers carrying Kree started to carry her away, before another approached the official with haste "Commander Gillex, sir! we got reports of an unauthorized departure from Desus II.
Kree turned her gaze down and bit her lip.
"Are they headed towards us?" Commander Gillex asked.
"No sir, they are headed with haste towards the opposite system edge. Shall we deploy fighters?"
Gillex glanced towards Kree, before shaking his head "No, we got our quarry for today. And as long as the Una fleet stands in front of us, it would be foolish to send fighters away. For now, instruct the fleet to begin making way to the Uma Interstellar prison."
"Yes sir!"
Kree let out a brief sigh, as she was taken away from the landing zone.
When she was gone, Gillex turned to look at the remains of the blown up ship, before pushing a button in the headset he was wearing "I have an assignment for the headhunter. Send him to track down the ship that left the planet. Whoever was on there, I want them caught alive." he said, before pressing the button again.

Cold shower, dirty and bloodied clothes, and a tiny cell with only a small vent in it. That was Kree's life now. Yet none of it bothered her if it meant that her friends had escaped to a safe territory.
After a few hours had passed in the cell, the door opened, and a pair of soldiers came and grabbed her, before dragging her to a different room, which only had a single chair, before she got thrown against the inner wall of the room, and the door closed. She remained against the wall in the dark, silent, until she could feel a shock sent from her collar.
The door opened, a light turned on, and Commander Gillex stepped in, before sitting down in the chair.
"I hope the accomidations have been horrible to you, being a prisoner and all. And not even related to the ongoing war."
Kree pushed herself back up, until she was sitting with her back against the wall "What?"
"Oh, we know of your little act of aggression against our fighters. Though the Federation also acknowledged that was a defensive act, and thus wouldn't result in such an action. Especially being civilian ship and all."
"Then why-"
"Shhh. Only speak when I permit it," Press of a button, and Kree was squirming in pain again, while Gillex crossed his legs "I actually had no idea about you until our visual transmissions from the fighters you shot at got uploaded to our databases. Then the order came from above not long after. Along with ensuring no one who came into direct contact with you remains alive to tell the tale."
The shock stopped and Kree breathed heavily as she glanced at Gillex.
"No questions this time? Good. You're learning! Now, from the moment we leave the system, I'll have about 2 months to learn as much from you as possible. So are you willing to cooperate?"
Kree only offered a glare and silence.
"When I ask you something, you will answer."
Another shock. A minute later, Kree had her head back on the floor, breathing heavily as her vision was blurry.
"Tsk. Is that really your threshold? Pathetic. Now, answer. Will you cooperate?"
Kree still offered no answer, and now didn't even bother to look at him.
"I don't know if I started frying your brain, but you will answer. Even if it means I need to resort to more drastic measures. Someone in the Federalli Council wants you imprisoned for life, and I intend to find out why. There has never been a single record of you before today, yet now you're deemed so dangerous you've been given the highest danger rank anyone could get. A dragon-level danger."
Her eyes slightly widened at the danger level.
"Oh? Something caught your attention now? Well, too bad. We'll continue this tomorrow. For now, though you've earned a punishment. No meal for dinner. Oh, and this."
Another surge of electrical pain went through her body, followed by a few kicks to her abdomen. Kree spat out some blood as her gaze followed Gillex, who departed from the room. The two soldiers came back in, before dragging her to the cell and throwing her inside.
After about ten minutes she managed to bring herself back to a sitting position.
"Dragon level danger. Can't be a coincidence. But why me." Kree muttered under her breath as she checked her bruised body. She couldn't do anything other then that, so she leaned her head back against the wall and just took deep breathes. If this was an example of what was to come, then it was only going to get worse from here.
