V: Old Relative

Clouds darken and a storm brews as Satan reveals his magical form. A flow of purple energy coming out of the crown. They cursed the crown by those who couldn't truly control their mental state. While magic and mental state are different, if you can't control your emotions; you can never say you can control your magic. Satan had gotten really powerful because of Ronin's vengeful mental state. He laughs as he sees how weak Ronin has become.

Satan: "Look what happens when you don't listen to your elders. Especially someone as great as your father! Hahaha!"

Ronin(Weakened): "You... You bastard..."

Satan: "The only one you should curse at is yourself. This is what you have done. You pushed everyone away to your dark thoughts and unstable emotions. You wanted to be like your father so badly that you'd start a battle over it! The one who truly have no knowledge. The one that did all that studying for what? Just for a demon to outsmart you! You are worse than pathetic. You are no better than the lower angels who defended you!"

That statement hit Ronin like a blade straight into his heart. Everything he did "for the kingdom", everything he did in his life, all for nothing. All for no positive outcomes. All for him to be more alone than he ever has been. Ronin looked at the floor with tears in his eyes, knowing how much evil he has done for the kingdom. No one to assist him, support him, and love him. And there's nothing he can do about it. Back in Aurora, Arino decides to go to Vihnlox to get some money for the job they did in Aurora. When Arino looks at the GuildMaster's face again, he realizes something. This girl is from the Akumo clan just like he is. But he doesn't have any siblings nor distant relatives either. When Arino approached Arisa, Arisa was surprised to see him.

Arisa: "Ah Arino! How was your venture in Aurora?"

Arino: "It was good. But I have a question."

Arisa: "What is it?"

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

Arino(whispering): "Are you a part of my clan too?"

Arisa nods her head. She was surprised Arino figured it out so fast.

Arisa: "So you are the acclaimed Son of Greed hm? I thought you'd have a more devilish appearance. I'm really surprised!"

Arino: "I only gain the devil appearance if I lose my humanity. I'm surprised I still have it after all I've been through."

Arisa: "You must have a tough past."

Arino(Looking at a gem): "Yeah it was a very tough past for sure."

Arisa: "If y-you have time to spare, I wanna hear more about it. Hopefully it could make you feel a bit better!"

Arino(Smiling): "Yeah of course! I'll come by sometime. This town is the most ideal place I'd live if I didn't have this stupid task that was set on me."

Arisa smiles knowing that she has another opportunity to talk with Arino. But she is still shaken by the information given to her. She didn't know there was another clanmate that was alive. She did hear that there was "the member we don't mention" but she didn't know that that specific member was Arino. Due to this mention of him, she was always curious about who this lost member was. It was also strange that Arisa always was told about a "lost brother". Arisa always saw her mother crying due to that. It was always said that Arisa has a brother but the Akumo Clan profusely claims that she is an only child. But when she was born, she has a distant memory of a young boy excited for her birth. Arisa's memory is very foggy before she was 7. When she was 7, there was a civil war that split the Akumo Clan in rigid sections. In the civil war, Arisa's mother confessed that she has an older brother, and that if she ever encountered him, she was to always remember his name. His name that she remembers was Arino.

Arisa looks at Arino wide eyed, she doesn't know what to say. As Arisa's emotions start to rile up she jumps to Arino and hugs him.

Arisa(crying): "I-I remember now... I remember!"

Arino(confused): "Remember what?"

When Arino realizes who is hugging him, Arino is shocked but happy. When he was first taken away, he remembers a little girl shouting out brother to him. His mother had to hold that little girl back from going over there with him. When he remembered the girl face and looked at Arisa's face, there was one thing that was clear. Both of their faces look the same. Arino was too guilty to look at Arisa's face knowing all that they both have been through. Arino, holding back tears, held Arisa close; this revelation being figured out, pleased Mammon as he looked at the two siblings reuniting with a smile on his face.
