I pull back my hand feeling a burning on its palm. The palm of my hand was covered in blood now, along with my fingers. There's a hand shaped splatter of blood where my hand was touching the moss slowly getting absorbed into the moss.

"Guess i was the prey." I say looking at the blood on my hand continuously flowing out, dripping to the ground. I turn back and start walking again, keeping my hand away from my clothes so the blood can dry.

By the edge of the small city there was a newspaper stand, with newspapers scattered all around it. Government shutdown causes uprising of snake people "Wonder what happened to the people they took?" The papers all discussed the same thing. "We were stupid not to notice it for so long." I say dropping the papers and walking on, they were stupid not invading when they first arrived.
