I really wish I could magically create a screen, directly showing my memories of the past couple hours. Sadly, that doesn’t seem feasible with the current position I’m in.
I’m currently a summoner-in-training, in the Akras Summoner Hall. Or at least I should have been. Instead, I’m facing hordes upon hordes of monsters in the world of Grand Gaia.
This may seem oddly familiar to some of you people on Earth, and I assure you that it should.
Ever heard of this mobile game app, called Brave Frontier? Yeah… I became a part of it, but I’m not the main character, as it turns out Karl is just a…
Sorry, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me just tell you how I came to be here in Grand Gaia.
*******
I was walking down an ordinary sidewalk, with ordinary cars passing by me at 50 mph. Typical on a pseudo-highway. I had my phone in my hand, and I was smirking as I was beating Maxwell up using my newest team of 7 star characters.
I should enumerate a little bit here. Characters have a ranking system of 2 star to 7 star, 2 being weakest and 7 being strongest so far. Having a team of 7 star characters is pretty good, as it means I’ve dedicated time to the game.
Anyways, I was whipping Maxwell’s ass with my best team, as I stopped on the sidewalk to let the cars pass by. Technically, you could call what I was attempting to do jaywalking, but I like to call it ‘taking a short cut’!
While I waited for a small ‘all clear’ for a pass through traffic, I step out onto the street, without even looking both ways. Although, there were no cars as I couldn’t hear any coming. I still stared at my phone’s screen, as Maxwell was taking a beating.
I look up from my gaming on a whim, just in time to see a semi-truck rushing at me. I quickly leap out of the way, but my foot is clipped, causing an agonizing amount of pain to lance up through my leg.
I land on one foot, grimacing in pain and still holding onto my phone. I let out a deep sigh, as I was thinking that my phone would break… again. I get out of that awkward ballerina stance I had created.

I then hobble on one foot as I quickly hopped to the sidewalk, and sat down gently. That’s when I noticed I only had a foot. My other foot…
Was a bloody stump. I could only sigh, and whimper in pain as my foot began to drip blood. Blood didn’t scare me, but the pain sure gave me a headache. So I decided to buy some gems in the game to take my mind off things. Nothing gets rid of mind numbing pain like gambling! Gems are used to get Rare Summons, which just means better units. Just for your information.
So when I go to buy something on my phone, I notice a specials offer. I became very excited, as these are deals you don’t often see in Brave Frontier. In the specials page, I notice only one offer, and it was just a garbled bunch of text for $1. I quickly press buy, and I feel a little better.
I notice a blinking icon on the summons page, and so I go to that on my phone. It says to bring only your favorite units, which I find odd, as you can’t bring characters with you, you get them from the summons gate.
I shrug, and go to select my favorites. Check, check, check, that one too, and that one. Alright, I have my favorite characters ready to wreak havoc in what ever this deal is. I tap the summons page, and hit the summons button. Then a very small dot on my screen appears, glowing green and purple.
I bring it closer to my eye, as the black screen covers my entire right eye. That’s when I notice that instead of a rainbow doorway, it is a green and purple one. I bring my eye backwards, as I tap the very small door on my phone.
I quickly close my eyes, as a bright light blinds me. I look down just in time to see both my feet, which was odd, and a rainbow circle glowing underneath me.
****************
All across the globe, people suddenly disappear in a bright white light that all congregates towards a star in the sky, that shone in the dark and blue sky.
A green purple star.
