Chapter 3: The strange house called The Orphanage

Billy opened his eyes after Bill's blue beam ceased, and what he saw amazed him. There were other kids although they didn't look as bad off as he did. This sight brought happiness into Billy's small tormented heart. Bill then turned to him.

"Hey kid what are you staring at? we gotta go clean you up," Bill stated shoving him forward.

The two proceeded into the bathroom, Bill explaining how to take a bath, and giving him shots for diseases he had contracted. (It's ok Bill is a turret) Afterward, Bill brought Billy into a small cluttered room with wires coming out from every wall and connecting to multiple computers and a strange hat made of unpolished metal.

"Kid lay down on that bed and strap that helmet on, you're about to get taught, boy!" Bill said with a heightened voice.

So Billy proceeded with the instructions Bill gave him. Unable to speak Billy was excited as he strapped the helmet on and looked through the glasses he observed that he wasn't in the room anymore. He was in a grassy field light with sunlight he gasped as he felt a small amount of pain and then felt a blanket of warmth hit him. He felt happy as if none of the previous days ever happened, then Bill appeared.

"Heya kid how ya doin? I'm here to teach you how to do... everything really... But anyway let's start with vocabulary," Bill had started on his original programming.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Ok..." Billy said hesitantly

The next 2 years proceeded with lesson, after lesson, after lesson. Billy learned about words and meanings he never even had thought of. The most important thing to him that he had learned is that cannibalism can possibly cause mutation in genes. This lesson hit him close to the back of his mind as if he knew something was wrong, but proceeded with his day anyway. At the end of the last year, he was told to leave because he had developed a very quick learning ability he had learned everything Bill had to offer. Billy was now a young adult and was given an honorary suit since he had completed what most others failed to do in his position.

"Alrighty kiddo it's time for you to hit the road, I can't help you anymore. However, I can tell you to make your way to the town about two and a half miles from here and find the weapons shop the guy there knows a bunch about how to protect yourself." Bill said with a slightly disappointed voice.

"Thank you, Bill... I will never forget what you have done for me," Billy said about to cry. He would be leaving the only friend he ever had behind.

"Oh and by the way that card you took from Earl's house... press the button on the side there," Bill told him.

Billy did so, the card light up blue and displayed a set of numbers one-hundred-fifty-seven followed by a c with two vertical lines through it.

"What's this Bill?" Billy asked.

"It's the amount of money on the card you can spend it when you get to town... good luck boy" Bill sighed as he motioned Billy to leave.

"Thank you again..." Billy said woefully.

Billy's journey began with that, and after a few years he learned multiple languages and studied martial arts becoming almost a master. After that Billy hit eight-teen years of age, old enough to go into space.
