As the universe collapses in on itself, the most violent display of carnage and destruction fathomable by the minds of even the most ancient and powerful creatures. As it's shredded to its finest atoms and even they are obliterated till nothing remains. Another universe takes its place. The last breath of one world becomes the first spark of another.
And this bold new world unfolds itself like the wings of a great dragon unfurling for the first time in millennia, stars and planets rolling out into the abyss expanding further than anyone or anything will ever truly know. As the stars are scattered and planets cast out, the first form of what you may call life also steps forth.
Though life implies death and this being will never know death as you do. The Maker, the first creature in existence - at least as far as this world is aware, began as little more than a ball of crackling energy and light dashing its way across the universe, exploring for aeons and yet barely scratching the surface.
Eventually after scouring the surfaces of planets with endless storms or acid rain or even surfaces of nothing but water stretching out as far as the eye could see, The Maker settled on a quaint, peaceful planet he dubbed Hyperion.

The Maker spent uncountable time moulding the planet, helping it grow, tending to his “garden” as he called it. When he was done with his modifications he sat, having now developed an ethereal angel like form, at the tallest peak of the tallest mountain and surveyed his realm.
He gazed fondly, and proudly of course, at the seemingly endless rolling hills and fields, the deep and gloriously blue oceans and the most beautiful sky you could ever possibly imagine - it was, in truth, impeccable. And as he sat and watched over Hyperion for what could have been centuries, he thought only one thing “this will do.”
But alas, in time The Maker grew…lonely. Longing for companionship, for someone he could share his planet with, and so he set himself a new quest.
The Maker wondered, looking at all he had made thus far, "If I have the power to do all this, to shape and build a world for myself, to construct a body of my own, then what pitiful challenge shall it be to create life? To create… my companions” And so he set to work.
The Maker toiled and schemed for years, sometimes he managed to animate rocks or plant life, even construct a short lived being of light with whom he had even shared his first conversation, but it wasn't enough. He wanted, needed, someone like him…
