Chapter One

Gu Mingyu had been bored sitting upon this throne, he had become the Demon God and ruler of the Demon realm and for the last millennia, he had become bored.

It wasn't until he noticed his ear twitch, did he look at the screen before him. It had looked like himself, but the temperament was completely different.

“Liu Suyan! You shall pay for this! You dared to use my Gu Family to become a steppingstone! You caused the Ninth Prince, rightful heir to the throne, and dared to put that traitor on the throne and eloped with him! I, Gu Mingyu aren’t satisfied! I swear by the heavens; I shall get my revenge!”

“How interesting.” A sinister smile formed on Gu Mingyu’s face, “There are other worlds and other versions of Benzun? Seems like this version of Benzun was calculated by a daughter of Fate.”

Gu Mingyu had gotten an idea, why didn’t he replace this version of himself and aid in taking down this daughter of fate and devouring her luck?

He was a scheming old fox; such a thing was his whole being born and bred within.

[Information about this world. Liu Suyan was born from the Marqui’s mansion and raised to be educated since young.

One day she was pushed into the water and regained her memories from her former life. It turned out in her last life; she was ruthlessly killed by the Gu family when she was considered no longer valuable due to the Marquis’s Mansion being exposed in the treasonous actions of Prince Jing attempting to overthrow the throne and in the hand of Prince Qin’s framing.

She decided to change her fate and make sure Prince Jing succeeded the throne instead of the Ninth Prince intended Son of Fate and succeeded in becoming the Empress and ruling the world as Empress Dowager once she produced her own son]

If she was smart, she would expose the crimes of the Liu family and ask the emperor to spare her due to this, aid in the Ninth Prince in gaining the throne and becoming a title women allowed to handle business regardless of being married.

Instead, she helped a traitor, killed the Son of Fate and allowed Liu family to gain more and more power, while daring to be pretending to be Mother of the World?

The IQs on these daughters of Fates is something else. Right now, the first plot point is the deciding of Princess Mu becoming married.

Back then Princess Mu was supposed to be engaged to marry Prince Qin’s cousin, young Marshal Ling Yun but due to the framing of Prince Qin, the Ling clan his maternal clan was implicated and twelve years since Princess Mu, daughter of the late King Mu, His Majesty’s niece has yet to become married.

There was Princess Mu (Mu Nihua). She was dressed in common clothing with a simple jade hand carved hairpin and like a dagger hidden under her sleeve.

“Greetings to Princess Mu—--”

“Don’t be formal Little Yu, I have seen you grow up since young.”

“Of course.”

“Why are you acting so suspicious anyways?”

“The palace has walls and ears.”

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“You heard something you shouldn’t have?”

“There is a rumor in the palace that there's an old maid who served under the late Empress Dowager and capable of brewing De Pútáojiǔ(Lustful wine). Though it’s been banned in the palace, I suspect it might be used against you, Sister Nihua.”

“Oh, and how so?”

“I suspect that since you control military power, either the Empress or Noble Consort Jing might use this as a chance to tie you in marriage to one of their factions. Or—-Or—-”

“Or?”

“Or such a thing does happen but then someone take’s the chance of saving you to gain merit with the Emperor.”

“Such schemes are rather cunning and cruel.” Princess Mu remarked, “Who would be capable of such a thing?”

“I don’t dare say aloud without evidence.”

“The two of us are here alone, you can speak.”

“I suspect it’s Prince Jing who wants to save you and Empress who comes up with the scheme to make you—-you compromised.”

Princess’s Mu eyes sharpened, “Little Yu, why are you telling me this? Isn’t Marquis Liu’s precious daughter your fiancée and isn’t the Prince Jing’s dog?”

Such a sharp women, if not for the that chosen one (Prince Jing) she would not end up the way she did in the original work.

He softly coughed, “Truth be told. A month ago, when Liu Suyan had been visiting my mansion, I thought she was paying respects to Mother. As it turned out she was using it as a secret way to meet Prince Jing and even…….”

“Even?”

A tinge of blush shined, “Even…. have their clothes stripped off and acting in such a way only a married couple is expected to act.”

“Y-Your serious?”

“I saw a few glances and became so embarrassment. Sister Nihua! What am I supposed to do? I can’t break off the engagement without evidence! We were childhood sweethearts and s-she climbed the bed of another and intends to use my Gu family to become her steppingstone!”

Princess Mu hugged Gu Mingyu and sighed, “I understand your concerns but in the future you better plan yourself well and if I can help that would be be my pleasure.”

“Of course, Sister Nihua.”

Gu Mingyu had waited for Princess Mu to leave, as he wiped away his fake tears. “She would be a good ally to gain in the future.”

“Nihua is sympathetic as ever.” A cold and crisp voice uttered, “But I didn’t suspect that the son of General Gu the notorious love brain idiot would be a scheming old fox.”

The Ninth Prince, Prince Chen. (Huo Beichen), such a person is the best sword and more important ally for his future planning.

“When your fiancée elopes with a traitorous Prince, perhaps Your Highness would understand where I am coming from.”

“What are you planning then?”

“It’s simple.” Gu Mingyu smiled former wider and wider on the face, “All who dared to cross me, shall becoming my steppingstones and trampled beneath my feet.”

“Where does This Prince come along in this plan then?”

“Becoming the next Emperor of course.”

“Such words are rather bold.”

“Perhaps but Your Highness must understand.” Gu Mingyu remarked, “Would you rather let a viper who slithered his way to power become Emperor or a useless Puppet on the throne? Either way, both of us shall die.”

“So, you intend to put the son of a concubine on the throne?”

“Wouldn’t it show my intentions then?”

Prince Yin snorted, “Indeed it would but—---”

Gu Mingyu yanked the collar of Prince Yin and as his eyes glowed red, “But understand something Little Wolf. The moment you loose your hesitation, your ambition or intend to betray me. I shall make sure your life is ten thousand ways worse than death, understand?”

“This Prince understands.”

“Good……”

Prince Yin muttered under his breath, “Little Wolf? Is that supposed to be a nickname?”

Did His Highness’s brain cells become stunned? Let alone Gu Mingyu daring to order His Highness around and give a nickname, ah….how terrifying!
