Chapter 3

Using his will he pulled at the book and it rushed at his face faster than he anticipated. Just as the heavy looking book was about to hit him it crumbled to dust. “Hey what the hell happened? I didn’t even get to look in there!” Loden squawked. As he said the last word the “dust” that was the book rushed forward and forced itself down his throat. “ Heeerrrrrrp….” He gasped. “Why does it taste like marshmallows?” He choked out while gagging.

Congratulations you have assimilated the class options and can now be considered a full adventurer! You will unlock class options in three ways. Completing special quests, finding a Class Tome, or meeting the specific requirements for a class in your skills and attributes.

Class options available to you:

Mage- Offers + 5 to intelligence and willpower.

That was all the notification told him. He thought about getting upset that he didn’t get to see any other classes or even open the damn book but. He looked at the notification with barely restrained glee in his eyes. He selected Mage and blacked out again.

“ Huh? Wha? Wat happensh?” Loden again woke up on his face this time only his nose lay against his cheek like it was supposed to be there. Except the pain in his face suggested otherwise. On the plus side there didn't appear to be any dirt or blood on him so he must still be in the tutorial. Just then a notification flared in his vision.

Class selection

No skills aside from species specific skill or class are locked from learning. Spell and ability books will be found in areas of high magical density. The amount of spells and abilities you are able to learn will grow as you level. Unlocking a class will allow you to change to it at a chrysalis chamber. You may do this at any time while not in battle. Chrysalis chambers can be found in nature and dungeons as well as be crafted by skilled crafter. Please enter the chamber to your left to begin class selection and assignment. Loden looked to his left and could see etched into the square tiles that made up the room was a circle with faint symbols wrapping the circumference. Walking closer he saw a dark teal glow edged with vibrant pink begin to admit from the edges. He appeared in a blank white emptiness without, to his recollection, ever opening a door. Or even getting to one. One moment he was walking to the colorful doorway the next he was here. Wherever "here" was. He couldn't tell if the space was small or if it went on forever. Looking down his body he realized it wasn't there. He's conscious being may be in the space but his body was not.

Your class option menu has been created. Due to your large quantity of knowledge on various classes your list may appear larger than some at this time. However due to your lack of skill points earned in the required skills of a class you will be unable to choose a class that is grayed out.

Suddenly he could see hundreds of classes. Six columns of listed classes filled his vision. The letters were white on a blank black background. When they began to scroll up Loden realized there may be thousands. Knowing he could get lost in staring at the list and looking for the coolest classes he focused his mind and search for those that he had activated. Wondering if he could somehow sort the list by having the unlocked classes at the top he smiled when the names floated out of their orderly lists and rearranged themselves with the unlocked at the top. He could see that the only classes he had unlocked were warrior and mage. Smiling Loden clicked mage for hopefully the final activation time.

"TA DA!" The loudest voice he had ever heard exploded in his mind.

"Fuck! That hurt! How do I turn the volume down on this thing?"

congratulations for being the fourth sentient to unlock the mage class you've been awarded a full character set of items. Because you were one of the first five all of these items rarity will range from mythical to legendary to very rare. However, because you are the fourth and not the first none of these items will be linked. Do not despair your levels young adventure, all items of legendary and mythical rarity are so bound leveling items. So don't worry that these are worthless items because of their current level. At this .2 things popped in to be in the space in front of him. The dispersed air caused by the items appearing causing Lodens eyes to water and blink. To segmented wheels appeared in the space. The wheel on the left had words written in the pipe sections it was fairly bland in appearance with the body of the wheel being black while the letters were white. Each section was labeled. Head, chest, arms/hands, legs, feet, ring one, necklace, utility one, and utility two. But the actual showstopper slot?… Eight simple letters spelled out possibly the greatest word he could possibly think of. Companion…

The second wheel hurt lodens eyes to look at because it was a riot of color in thin almost imperceptible lines. Forcing himself to look at the wheel he determined there were only three colors but because of how thin the lines were he first thought there was more. The colors made almost a starburst of pink, green, and teal.

"Ok yeah that's kinda awesome looking." Loden mused as the first wheel clicked into place on the first item. Head:

The second wheel begin to spin. As the colored wheels spun the mist it created was spun away and dissipated. Loden couldn't tell how many revolutions it took but it eventually stopped on mythical.

Teal light exploded from the wheel and crashed into the other. When it faded from view he could see a circlet floating in front of the first wheel. It appeared to be made of crystal or glass that was tinted a pale green. The green was so pale the thing may as well have been white. The material itself looked as if it had started as many different strains that had been heated and woven together. With the light from the wheel playing along the surface Loden was awestruck at its beauty. And when it's that page was opened Loden gasped.

Fount of power: rarity Mythical: lvl 1

+5 to intelligence +5 to this stat for every level it gains.

+10 to willpower +10 to this stat for every level it gains.

+20 to armor +10 to this stat for every level it gains.

100/100 durability *

if this item reaches zero durability before reaching level 50 it will not repair itself until you reach level 50. At zero durability the item will disappear from your body and appear in your bag or inventory. All of its affects will disappear as well.

"Ummm..... Ookaaayy either we are gonna super O.P. or this is gonna be....hard." Loden distractedly mumbled. Reaching out he grabbed the circlet and put it on his head. A rush of tingles flew through his body as it's effects became active within him.
