Synopsis

username changed -  Jem expected the black spot to be his one-way ticket to an early grave and to the early end of his university career, instead, it's a ticket to a whole new life. This time the parents aren't abusive, but they sure are a whole lot more likely to get him killed.  If he can survive all of his adoptive family's hair-brained schemes then dealing with the black spot once and for all can't be that hard.  Right? Well, Jem sure hopes so, he'll have to go back to university (sober) for this. Join Jem on the adventure that is his wacky new life, let's just hope he can make it through it without his vice (alcohol) & his virtue (his (original) legs). Gods, why can't anything make sense? The Black Spot is a progression-centric story with LitRPG elements. Main things to know before you go in:- I know the legs line makes it sound like mc may be disabled, just different legs I'm afraid -There are queer characters in here, if that’s a dealbreaker for you probably don’t start reading I guess. -This story is going for lighthearted and fun. It by design isn’t a super serious story where we can expect bad things to keep happening to the characters. They aren’t devoid of consequences, nor are they free from sadness, but don’t go in anticipating long marches of trauma and depression.  -Not certain of the exact tags that are going to stick? Some may be more appropriate at certain times than others. (will try to make sure they are relevant) (I may also be technically being more cautious with the CW tags than strictly necessary, but everyone has different thresholds for stuff and wanted to be on the safe side) -Don't assume pirates, I mean I know the name is what it is but I don't even know if we'll see pirates yet ~ Enjoy Honestly, this is a bit of an afterthought, but if you can try to keep criticism constructive. If you just don’t like something that is what it is, but if you feel like the way something is done is bad and are hoping that the approach might be modified going forward then civil comments are a lot easier to properly engage with ^_^ On Hiatus?
