A week has passed since I was transported to a different world.

After being summoned I was met by the curreny Queen of Esterhaven Louise. She explained to me that their Kingdom was in a dangerous state the former King & Queen (her parents) were assassinated recently so she had become the Queen. Esterhaven is surrounded mostly by water so the only way to approach the kingdom is a frontal assault which seems like a strategic advantage. Esterhaven is the biggest Kingdom in the world, but the majoirty of the land in their control is a wasteland where no one lives, and nothing grows due to this the kingdom has the lowest population of the neighboring kingdoms even though its the largest kingdom.

I started getting tired as i let out a long yawn.

After seeing me starting to look bored the Queen quickly hurried her explanation as she started to fidget.

"Within a year or two if nothing happens OUR country will most likely be taken over."

"That must suck for you."

After hearing this Louise looked really scared. I still didn't see how this has to do anything. Did God think I was a king in the other world? Obviously he should know I was just a single mercenary I didn't even lead the mercenary group I belonged to.

I guess this country is gonna be overthrown in a few years... I could kill some time on the battlefield then after this country is overthrown I can go, and offer my services to other countries I guess.

"Y-Yes we aren't in a favorable situation that is why I am begging you to become our K-King."

"No thanks."

The guard behind Louise quickly took out his sword with a killing intent in his eyes I reached for my pistol. After taking it out I noticed everything was frozen in place, but I could still move.

"Elijah do you want me to kill you now?"

I heard a voice it felt familiar even though i've never heard it before. I got annoyed just hearing it's voice.

"What did I do wrong my God?"

"If you don't accept her proposal I will kill you right now boy."

I let out a sigh, and took a ciggarette out, and lit it...

"You know im not really King material though so I didn't see the point in accepting her proposal."

"I agree that you aren't King material."

"Then why are you making me..."

"This is just your fate if you succed or fail it does not concern me, but you will become the King of this country after that its up to you what happens."

"Fate huh."

"Depending on how well you perform in this world I might reward you by bringing you back to your previous world."

This God is really annoying... it's not like i really care about returning though.

"What about Calvin? Don't you want to kill him boy?"

"Oh that's a name I haven't heard in a while."

The corners of my mouth twitched for just a second as if I was about to smile.

"W-Well then boy good luck you won't be seeing me again for a long time"

The God quickly said his last sentence then vanished.

I brought the cigarette closer to my mouth but all that was left was the end of the cigarette so I threw it away then time began moving again.

"Well I guess I will become your King."

After saying it the guard quickly put his sword away. I looked towards the young Queen her face turned red.

"G-Good our m-marriage will be in a week."

Louise left then I was taken to a empty room inside of the castle. All that was inside of it was a bed.

"You will be staying here for a week my King."

The guard left the room, and I stayed in the room until the marriage ceremoney.
