Henry met up with his classmates at the field and got changed into P.E. clothes. P.E. class generally takes place outside or occasionally inside the school gymnasium when it rained. Henry sat down on the grass with his friends and waited for his other classmates to arrive. He plucked the grass while listening to his friends talk.
"Henry you stayed up all night watching saucy videos didn't you? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Don't you realize those things need to be done in moderation? It's good that you've recovered, but did you guys see the new game that just came out. Hells Diver, Janky Studios created it, but unlike their other games this one is actually good! You guys have to get it when its on sale this weekend. The graphics on the thing looks crazy!" Henry smiled in annoyance listening to Jared incessant chatter.
"I don't think I can. My mom will kill me if I spend any more money on games. I don't want to suffer a fate worse than death you know." Charles mumbled the last part in fear.
"Wuss, why don't you man up. Be the man of the house? Show her who's boss Charles." Jared still didn't back down after hearing Charles refusal.
"Last time I tried that she cooked me vegetables for a month straight! Not even the good kind, all I had on my plate was those bitter greens." Charles stubby face scrunched up in disgust and his eyes slightly teared up. Jared stayed quiet after remembering what his friend was like during that time. The silence was broken when Henry abruptly injected himself into the conversation.
"Has there been any new rumors regarding any supernatural phenomenon?" Both the boys were confused by the new subject.
"What are you an occult fan or something? I mean other than the usual spooky rumors, not really." Jared words jabbed at Henry, but Charles brought up something that caught Henry's interest.
"T-t-there's been a rumor of a ghost haunting the old school building. A friend of a friend of mine says they had been attacked by flying chairs." Charles fearful expression and constant shivering really sold the rumor. Except for Jared he just blankly looked at Charles.
"You pussy!" Jared whacked the back of Charles' head while exclaiming, "what are you so scared of?! You didn't even see the ghost with your own two eyes!"
"What do you mean! It's very normal to have second-hand fear!" Charles stood his ground. As the two bantered, Henry decided to check out the old school building. Even if it was just baseless rumor, it wouldn't hurt to have a little adventure. Ding! Henry frowned after seeing BAS update the quest progress percentage.

Henry initially had planned to adventure with his friends, but it just became a solo mission. Everyone arrived and the PE teacher started class while his two friends continued to banter. Henry was too distracted thinking of the lead he just got from the mysterious rumor, so his performance in PE class was quite lackluster. Minutes later it was water break and Henry decided to scout out what was the average Mana levels everyone had. It took a few minutes as he was inexperienced using this new sense, but his initial suspicion was correct. The student who had no reflection was special in the amount of mana contained in his body. Among the students in his class, only two stood out and Henry was staring at one of them.
"Huh, Catelyn? Didn't think her type suited your taste, I was sure you were into the more cutesy type. Less of the refined and plain type of girl." Jared commented seriously putting on a thinking pose.
"Fuck off!" Henry laughed at Jared's antics. But, suddenly a murderous shout came from the corner where the vending machine stood.
"FUCK!!! My Money!!!" A student with crimson hair furiously kicked the vending machine many times over. Alex, the class delinquent sent unending strikes at the vending machine like it owed him money which it probably did. This was the second person who stood out in the Mana department.
The PE teacher had to step in and placate Alex before he destroyed the vending machine or hurt himself trying. Soon everyone back to exercising when Henry just finished scouting his classmates. Soon the day came to an end and clubs began for the students who signed up for them. Many students started leaving and some didn't even bother changing out of their PE uniform. At the gate his two friends waited for Henry. They all live rather close to each other, so they usually walk home together. Today however, Henry had different plans.

"Hey guys I got something to do before I head back, go on without me. No need to wait." Henry told the two before he started heading back into the school.
"We can wait, it's no biggie really." Jared spoke unwilling to leave Henry behind, and Charles nodded to that sentiment.
"Its going to take a while so go on, I'll head back in a jiffy. It's nothing big really." Henry did not expect his friends to be this concerned, but it was a nice feeling.
"If you say so." So reluctantly Jared and Charles left and started walking home. Henry walked back to the school and hid his backpack inside one of the bushes, and made his way to the old school building.

An old and worn door creaked open as a foot stressed the wooden floor boards. Henry entered the old school building using his phone as a flashlight. The power supply to the old school building has long been cut off. Shadows creeped lazily behind ledges and corners. The noon's sun light peered through the windows basking the corridors in orange. It was clear years have passed since this place was last cleaned, but that didn't slow Henry down.
His first stop was the 2nd year classroom, it was where the ghost haunted from the rumor. Henry didn't know what exactly he was looking for, but he hoped his Mana sense could detect something noteworthy. Thirty minutes or so of searching have passed, and Henry had no luck. He didn't want to be here when night fell, so he started searching every corner of the rooms. The closets, lockers, books, worn pencil cases, anything and everything went under his scrutiny. Henry really didn't think that this would get him anywhere, but the facts proved him wrong.
In his hands was a teacher's diary, belonging to the 2nd years class's music teacher. A few drops a dried blood sat atop the cover, and the diary was hidden underneath many folders and binders. If Henry hadn't been so thorough he was sure to have missed it. Henry read it as he flipped through the pages, some words were blurry and destroyed due to the forces of nature. After reading it though Henry had a grave expression on his face.
It started off normal with the music teacher writing about her days teaching, but soon it took a dark turn. When she suddenly fell in love with a student by the name of Balford. She was so enraptured by him that she went to extreme lengths to fulfill whatever task he had for her. Even including criminal activities such as giving private school documents and files to him, and more evil activities like kidnapping other students. However, mysteriously they all showed up at school the next day seemingly oblivious to the fact they were kidnapped the day before. But even with these mysterious abilities, Balford was clearly not the smartest when it came to the heart of a woman. As the constant kidnapping included both genders, the music teacher's jealousy soon became too much and she went rogue. The last entry in the diary outlined her plans of killing the next female student she was ordered to kidnapped to show her love for him. As for whether she followed through with her plans or not, Henry had no clue because that was the last page in the diary. Ding, the System alerted him of the quest progress.

The huge jump in progress stunned Henry for a moment, but he quickly recovered his wits. The student with no reflection was somehow related to the events in the diary, but how? The two mysteries were completely different, no matter what angle Henry came up with he couldn't see how they connected. Whatever it was he could continue his investigation tomorrow as it was getting late. The sun had set and now darkness enveloped the old school building. Shadows ate at every corner and Henry only had his phone's flashlight to ward of the darkness. Luckily his Mana sense helped him navigate through the school building. While couldn't notice small details, it was not hindered by the dark and provided better feedback than his flashlight.
Henry walked down the corridors, and just as he was about to turn the corner something entered the radius of his mana sense. The object was in the air, but it was too big to be a bird. In fact, it was shaped like a human and it was slowly approaching the turn. Out of caution, Henry slipped into one of the classrooms nearby and hid behind the door. He turned off flashlight mode on his phone and made sure nothing around him make unwanted noises. The floating thing turned and flew past the turn going down the hallway Henry was in moments ago.
Henry's eyes quickly adjusted to the dark and a growing curiosity grew within him. With caution he sneaked a peek at the mysterious flyer while it had its back turned to him. The thing's outline was that of human with long hair, and as his eyes adjusted it got clearer. It was a high school girl in an unfamiliar school uniform's skirt and a red shirt- no, white shirt soaked in blood. The ghost's neck suddenly snapped backwards in angles the neck was never meant to reach. But all she saw was an empty hallways with no one in sight and so impassively continued on her way.
Behind the door Henry clasped his mouth with his hand struggling to keep his breathing silent. That school uniform, he had seen it somewhere. Then it clicked, that was the old school uniform he had seen in those very old Yearbooks in the library. That ghost must be the girl who was murdered!
