A young man dressed up in some old tattered rags that could be barely be called clothes was sitting on the ground leaning against a wall looking at the dark starless sky with empty eyes as if in a daze. Anyone who sees him would think that he had given up from the state of his clothes and his gaze.
Suddenly a muffled scream woke him up from his ‘daze’, looking with a gaze that seemed to pierce through the darkness towards his right he saw two people that were obviously men from their big physic and broad shoulders. One of them was carrying a bag big enough to fit a person on his shoulder while the other was looking around with an alerted gaze and his guard up.
The scream came from the bag that was on the first guy's shoulder. The guy that was looking around in alert seemed to have felt something as he turned to look at the young beggar. The young beggar didn't seem to be bothered by the guy look that would have normally scared a normal person witless, on the contrary, he was looking back with a calm gaze that should not be found on somebody in his situation.
The man with the bag said, “Go kill him, it’s better to not have any witnesses.” His voice was rough like sandpaper, it was clear that it was not his real voice.
“Ok.” replied the alert one with the same sandpaper voice before dashing towards the beggar with a short sword in hand.
As he got in front of the beggar he swung the sword without bothering to say anything, intending to end this fast, but something happened that was out of everyone’s expectations. The sword was easily caught by the young beggar with his hand.
Even though he was shocked, the man reached fast by trying to take the sword back, but it wouldn’t budge no matter how hard he tried. He let go of the sword and jumped back.
The young beggar slowly rose to his feet and started walking towards the two men. They have a look of utter terror on their faces as they found that key couldn’t move at all, not even their eyes, they remained fixed upon the coming young man.
“I will ask you a question, and you will answer it.” the young beggar talked for the first time, he had a clean, youthful voice, it contained no hint of emotion.
“Who told you to kidnap her? Tell me everything.” asked the young beggar. It seemed like the one in the bag was a female that was kidnapped by the two men.
As he finished saying the question, they found out that they could finally move from neck up. While gulping the fear down his throat, the man who attacked the young beggar answered, “We are from Dark Rose guild, an assassin guild. We were tasked by the second clan in the city, the Kaldrie family to kidnap the young mistress of the first clan in cit, the Thentos family. We do not know for sure they motive since they did not state anything, but from our investigations, we found out that they are planning to assault the Thentos family and take their place as the first clan in the city.”
“I understand.” said the young beggar and with a wave of the hand the two men opened their eyes wide and showed a look of pure shock and endless fear as their heads slowly detached from their bodies. As they died, their bodies fell down too.
The young beggar quickly reached with his hand and caught the bag before it fell on the ground. After grabbing it he walked back to his spot before the whole thing happened.
He put the bag down and easily ripped it apart with this hands. Inside was a beautiful maiden in a pink nightgown. Her hair was black as the night and her body as slim as an hourglass. From the body constitution, she looked around 17 years old, same as the young beggar.
Her eyelids started fluttering and she slowly opened her eyes. After she saw the young beggar she opened her eyes quickly and looked around in panic, memories of what happened coming back to her.
As she spotted the two decapitated men in the distance she opened her eyes wide as she knew how powerful they were.
She slowly turned to look at the young beggar who was looking at her with a calm gaze all this time.
“Are you the one who saved me?” she asked. She did not care that he looked young as there were a lot of special people in their world. There were certain children who were born so powerful that your average warrior can be easily defeated by them, if they would be able to think something more than crying, eating and sleeping.

“Yes,” he answered her along with a small nod. For him, it was pointless to try to hide anything. He had enough power to not care about any kind of danger, he believed.
“Thank you, for your help. I am the first daughter of the Thentos family, Kalsie Thentos,” said Kalsie.
“It wasn’t anything. The reason I saved you is because of your powerful desire to be saved. Their death is because they were part of the Dark Rose guild. I have heard a few things about them that made me hate them, but I decided that I would not mend with things that do not have to do anything with me so easily, so I did not annihilate them. My name is Arval Karann, by the way.” said Arval.
“My desire to live??” asked Kalsie, flabbergasted at what Arval said.
“Yes. I have a special ability that can let me see and feel things normal people don’t. Can I ask you something? If you could wish for anything, what would it be?” asked Arval.
“What would I wish…? I guess it would be to have my mother again… She died when I was young, she was suddenly found dead eleven years ago. It was later said that she died from a dagger attack to the heart.” still shocked by everything that happened to her she answered with a sad expression without realizing that she was opening up to somebody for the first time in eleven years.
“If I said that I can grant you that wish right now, what would give in exchange?” said Arval a smile. It was the first time since he smiled since he met her, not that they met that long ago.
“Wha- What?!” she asked, shocked to the core. She knew that reviving people was possible but the level of power that you need to have to interact with the circle of reincarnation was absurd. In the whole history of the Hotridion world, there were only seven people that reached that level that was known to the public. Suddenly she remembered that people who reached a high level of power could easily regain their youth. Now that she remembered that she thought that everything made more sense now.
“Well?” he asked again, his smile not changed.
Taking a breath to calm herself she answered, “If you can really do that I would give you ANYTHING.”
With that said, his smile becomes even brighter and said, “Very well, Kalsie Thentos. By the power, within me, I will grant your wish.”
With that said he suddenly started floating and quickly made some hand signs. His hands were so fast that they started blurring. Along with his hands, the light started to slowly gather in the form of a human. From the shape alone it looked like a woman.
The process took around five minutes. After the light stopped gathering it dispersed and in its place was a woman of around thirty years in a pure white robe with her eyes closed. She slowly floated to the ground were started opening her eyes.
Seemingly confused by her surroundings she started looking around and spotted Kalsie on the ground and Arval floating in the air.
“Your wish has been granted, Kalsie Thentos. As a payment, you need to train and become a God level Mage within the next 200 years and come to the Efavian mountain. There, you will marry me.” Arval said.
Space started churning and then it started splitting behind Arval. While floating towards the crack Arval tossed something towards Kalsie and said, “This necklace can act as an interspatial storage item. It will also protect you from five fatal attacks that are not higher than God level and will also help you train along the way. I hope to see you soon.”
In the next moment, after he entered the crack, space started closing and everything became normal as if nothing ever happened.
Kalsie, still flabbergasted by what happened could still not reached and unconsciously gripped the necklace in her hand.
“Kalsie? Is that you?” asked a voiced next to her with a tinge of uncertainty in her voice.
As if electrocuted she turned her head with lightning speed towards the sound of the voice. There, the mother whom she had lost eleven years ago was looking at her as if she was not sure of something.
She quickly got up and jumped into her mother embrace and started crying. The woman realized that she was really her daughter and embraced her.
All Kalsie could say were mumbles like, “Mom… mom…”.
From the distance, rapid footsteps could be heard. Because there was no other sound other than the sobbing of Kalsie they sound of the rapid footsteps was heard quite clearly by the two women.
Kalsie stopped sobbing and look at the origin of the sound to see that her father was running towards them with the two of the strongest mages in the clan.
Her father started running faster when he saw her in the embrace of somebody and the bodies nearby but stopped dead in his tracks when he got near them and saw clearly the face of the person who was embracing his daughter.
He could recognize that person even with his eyes closed. She was his beloved wife whom he lost eleven years ago, Caltys Thentos.
That night was a long and happy one for the Thentos clan as the beloved wife of the clan head was back from the dead and the young mistress was rescued. For a very long time, everybody in the family was shocked when they found out what happened. But they quickly grew happy.
With this series of events out to the public, the clan continued to grow more and more. With the mistress of the clan becoming stronger and stronger it ensured that the clan will survive in their rapid growth period. No one knew why she was so determined to become strong to the point of insanity but her father and mother whom she told about EVERYTHING that happened, knew.
The tales of her rising in power were known to the whole world of Hotridion. Later on, there were rumors that she settled in and married somebody that lived on a mountain. But, those are tales for another time.
