Chapter 1:The Voidlord's Descent

Chapter 1:The Voidlord's Descent

The World of Terra had always been filled with war and discord. Thousands of realms were interconnected with this particular world, which only served to increase the number of wars for dominance. Terra also had an interestingly long history. It was an old world, after all.

The Old Age, the age where magic was first discovered by the old gods and devils. They ruled supreme and dictated everything, treating humans as their toys.

The New Age, also known as the Age of heroes. Many heroes were born during this age who sought for freedom and liberation. In time, someone accomplished it. The first hero king, Argus Goodheart liberated humans and all creatures from the gods as humanity dominated the world.

The Age Of Realms, the turning point in Terra's history where creatures, unimaginable and horrid appeared from portals all over the world and invaded it. They had far more destructive forces and sent humanity into despair.

The Age Of Despair, the world was shrouded in darkness after the forces of humanity lost to the abyssmal creatures from beyond. Terra reclined back to it's primitive age.

The Age Of Hope, the Great Tree Yggdrasil sprouted from the roots of the world and reached to other realms. Help eventually arrived in the form of elder dragons and a union of phantasmal creatures. The abysmall creatures were pushed back.

The Age of Power, the world was liberated once more and entered an an age of peace. The world now had a diverse amount of dominant species. This was the current age that Lilith was being born into and the age that she would either end, or help all realms in existance.

The Lost Forest, Lilith's POV

My feet touched the grassy land. It was ticklish but not uncomfortable. I smelled the air, sweet and fresh. Savouring enough of my new life, I opened my eyes.

I saw hovering islands of which water fell from them, prismatic colours of nature, a land of stone and runes, and a far land of ice. It was beautiful. Avian creatures, the size of dinosaurs roamed the sky as bipedal creatures dominated the leafy forest. I looked downwards.

I was on a cliff, overlooking the forest. The scenery had me on a hold, but I willed myself to tear away from it.

This is a fantasy world, a world of swords and magic. The world I am going to explore and could possibly die. But, no matters. Who knew my death gave me another chance at life.

Ironic.

Wait. I feel like I'm forgetting something. I looked around and walked back and forth, trying to remember it. And, finally I did.

" Status! ", I yelled out in excitement. A blue pop up appeared on my screen, showing my character profile.

Name:Lilith Title:The Bane Of All Level:Immeasurable Class:VoidLord Age:1000   Strength:12b Magic Quantity:Infinite Agility:14b Magic Resistance:Null Vitality:10b Defense:9b Intelligence:8b Wisdom:10b   Soul Force:Immeasurable

I nodded my head, looking at my status. Tis the status one should get after an ungodly game. More importantly, I recall being changed into a girl.

Looking at myself from my profile, I signed. I had short, jet black hair styled wonderfully accompanied with a milky, smooth pale body to die for. My eyes were a prismatic colour, just like the cosmos. I was currently wearing a black monarch regalia, and under it was a war dress. Both of them of course, had insane buffs that i implemented into them.

I drew my attention away from my image and focused on the beeping tab that read [Abilities] and [Skills] but I didn't bother to open those.

I am Lilith. I know all my spells, abilities and skills. And well, it is OP. Thank god, I went with this.

But even so, I really don't have much information of this world and that could lead to dangerous consequences. Only a fool would get drunk in power and I am no fool. At least, I don't intend to be. Wait a minute, I did have a map function didn't I?

The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

I murmured, "Open Map" and it did. Well, it took a while to start up but nevertheless, it worked! My eyes met the blue, wide screen that was in the center of my vision.

It was exactly like the map function from [Beyond Time] so it was easy to use. A black dot that signalled me, red dots that signalled enemies or anyone that held high hostility towards me, gold dots that signalled allies and gray dots that signalled neutral parties.

Looking at the map, I was relieved to see there wasn't any red dots. I really didn't want to get into a cliche "Save the princess!" scenerio that a lot of isekai novels depicted and many seemed to like.

I hate cliche things.

Just as I thought that, a gray dot suddenly appeared on my map and it was moving quite fast. I felt dread at what I just thought of.

'It can't be, right? Surely, there'd been enough of princess scenerios. . .right?' My body shivered unconciously.

I REALLY hate cliche things. Also, I didn't wanna go and save her(if it IS a princess scenerio). I know, I know. The protagonist saves the princess, the princess likes him, the journey starts, blah, blah blah.

Excuse me but I'm not some messiah or an optimist. That type of thing only happens in mangas and animes. Also, who knows if the the person I save is good or bad? He/She might turn to be a boss level demon lord or something. Also, the person might backstab me or even KILL me in the future if I somehow pissed the person off. Anything could happen, this is a fantasy world after all.

I contemplated within myself as my brain raced to solve all the questions I asked. After a few minutes of self debate, the tiny, good, naive part of my soul won.

'Remember your origins. You were helped by your 'father'. Without him, you would have been nothing.' I grimaced in guilt which meant I had made my decision.

This better be worth it, or I'm gonna go on a rampage.

My pale hands struck out into the empty air. My regalia disappeared as a black war dress took it's place. I smiled and called upon the ungodly amount of mana as I intoned.

[Path Into Death]

Any traces of me being in the place disappeared as my void "ate" my position and targetted the position of the gray dot. It was effectively a teleportation skill.

Hold on, whoever you are. Mommy's coming.

The Lost Forest, 3'rd POV

Liliana Isabella Goodheart had been born into a luxurious, worry-free life. She was the only princess to the Goodheart Kingdom, the Kingdom of the deceased HeroKing.

Since young, she was blessed with extraordinary looks and a high aptitude for the arcane arts. Surrounded by wealth, fame and power, one would think she would have no worry in life.

Reality however was far from the truth. She had to fight everyday for her survival, be it with magic or politics. Liliana had always been targetted by power hungry individuals, both in the kingdom or the world.

She grew a mind of steel in time. Diligent but deadly. Kind but Monstrous. That was her, Liliana, heir princess to the Goodheart Kingdom. People admired, loved but most of them feared her.

It turns out one fear in particular grew too much. The result? She was framed, sent for exile and was currently running for her life through one of the world's most mysterious and deadliest spots, the Lost Forest.

The exiled princess huffed and puffed, cold sweat rolling along her body but she never stopped running.

'Why was I born a princess?' Tears rolled down her pristine cheeks as fury burned in her ruby eyes.

" If I get through this, I will get revenge. Tear their limbs, Rip thier hearts and crush their brains. Let the heavens be my witness. ", she swore in vengence.

Her ashy white hair flipped to the side as she took a steep left turn, rolling down the hill. She had barely avoided an arrow of steel!

Liliana cursed again at her powerlessness. In her prime, she'd be able to tank a dragon! But, of course she was stripped of her magic and left to live as a mortal.

The greatest humiliation that could be done to a sorceress.

" Here! The princess fell down the hill! ", a roguish male voice yelled. Hundreds of footsteps and horse steps soon followed after the voice.

Liliana knew this was the end. Her left arm was mangled, her ankle broke and she was suffering from a concussion. Moreover, her body was excessively bleeding and if her calculations were correct, she'd die in 10 minutes.

She smiled in defeat. 'Ah~ If I knew this was gonna happen, I would have studied more diligently.'

She heard the galloping of horses nearing towards her location. Determing from the sound, she deducted that a whole squad was out to kill her.

Her limbs useless and her escape destroyed, she slowly closed her eyes and leaned against the tree, waiting for her death. The wind played a soft melody in favour of the soon to be fallen maiden.

"Found her!", the male roguish voice from before yelled out again. She recognised the sound. It was Tom from the royal knights, according to her memories.

A couple more male voices sounded around her before it all came to a halt. Liliana still closed her eyes.

"Well well well, look what we have here. A princess once beloved by her people now reduced to nothing more than a fallen maiden! Here here! ", a male voice screamed at her, banging his sword on his shield as an insult.

Liliana instantly knew the abhorrant, drunk voice. Jonathan, the drunk but powerful captain of the Royal Mages. Jonathan had never liked her as he envied her talent in arcane magic. Liliana didn't care though, the feeling was mutual.

" Here here! ", other male voices resounded, insulting her. Liliana still kept quiet.

The tapping of feet could be heard before it stopped right near her.

"What? Death got your tongue, princess?", he mock-whisper near her ears.

Jonathan clicked his tongue in anger. "Well then, don't mind me when I cut that pretty little head of yours."

She heard the drawing of sword but did not fear for her life. Instead, Liliana felt mocked as a mage used a sword to kill her.

The exiled princess released a cold breath. She smiled and watied for her death.

. . . . .

. . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . .

'Are they so useless that they can't even kill me?' She slowly opened her eyes and what she saw shocked her to the extreme.

A beautiful, no , the woman in front of her was more than that. She wore a black war dress that inspired death to her enemies and all that opposed her. A jagged sun totem hovered behind her head as the woman's cold, prismatic eyes scanned the place. The woman was like a goddess scowling at the mortals for being weak.

However, the woman wasn't the thing that shocked her. No, it was but a mere appetizer.

What shocked her was the deep, DEEP, hollow of a crater in the place where her "murderers" were supposed to be and that all of her injuries were healed!

'What type of magic control does one need to have to pull off a spell this delicate and deadly?! Surely, a spell this destructive should have made some sort of sound but. . .I didn't even hear a sound! All of my injuries were instantly healed too! Even if [Instant Heal] can heal all wounds, even regrow a limb, it needs time and a warm feeling should be felt! Perhaps a better version was invented? But that can't be possible! The time and effort it must take to-'

" Are you okay? ", Liliana's mind snapped back to reality, courtesy of the melodic voice asking for her well-being.

She took a while to compose herself as she stood up. "Yes, thank you for asking. If I may ask, did you see the one that did this?"

The woman grimaced and looked like she was barely holding back something. But, she signed.

" I am. ", the words left by the woman was short but it replayed inside Liliana's head.

'Merlin's sack of balls!' Liliana's body dropped in shock as she fainted.
