In this world when people come of age they go to a guild and have their job class revealed and their status window unlocked. After their job class is revealed, they are free to travel wherever if it pertains to their job. My name is Hirota, I live in a small village on the outskirts of the capital. My father is a diplomat and the chief of this village. As my father is the village chief I was taught about politics and how to run a village. I would learn these skills even though they never seemed to sit right with me. I would constantly accept odd jobs around the village to gain experience. But nothing I did clicked or made me feel complete. Then the day came for me to discover his job class.
The job class ceremony is a village wide event held once a year as there is normally many who come of age each year. This year there are about six people coming of age. Those who are coming of age are all in formal clothing and are lined up in front of the audience. Many conversations start as the village members file into the guild house. Then the conversations come to an abrupt halt as the guild master enters the stage. The village chief sits on stage next to the podium just barely in view. The guild master uses a magic artifact that is used to project his voice to the whole guild house. In a deep hearty voice, the guild master says “Hello fine people of Falsewood! It is an honor to celebrate the coming of age of these young men and women.” he continues for another fifteen minutes and finally exclaims “Well, without further ado let the job class revealment ceremony commence.” One by one we each go back into a room with the guild master. A loud voice then announces the name and the job class.
“Fujita Ryoko, Class [Chef]”
“Hano Kenji, Class [Adventurer]”
“Ishikura Satsu, Class [Teacher]”

“Watari Nao, Class [Beast Tamer]”
“Shishido Izumi, Class [Hero]”
The Hero Class. A class so rare that you are required to report it to the Kingdom immediately. It is the highest rank someone could possibly receive and its coveted by all newly awakened.
The entire guild hall erupted in excitement as the crowd, though small, burst into applause and cheers of enthusiasm. Their voices reverberated off the walls of the guild hall to the point it became hard to hear.
After a few minutes the guild hall quiets down and the ceremony proceeds. And then, finally it's my turn. As I entered the room, I noticed that in the center there was a crystal ball. It was roughly the size of my head but no larger than a mid-level slime.
The guild master, who is standing next to the pedestal, motions for me to put my hand on the crystal ball. As I reach for the ball, I start to feel the cold embrace of Mana emanating from its center. As my hand makes contact with the ball time begins to slow and the room becomes washed in a bright blue light emanating from the ball and a window appears in my field of view:
