Prologue

"One boring day in the year 2054 at 10:04 AM there was a disturbance. A large Burning claw made its way up through what was once New York city and burned the surrounding dozens of miles into nothingness. At 10:08 AM a Golden finger that was mistaken for a Moon appeared from the heavens and crushed the Blue clawed hand.

From then on a voice filled the sky and spoke directly to everyone on earth. "Your planet is young, You are weak. But you no longer have time to waste. We shall start the Freezing Hell protocol. Half of all humans will be drafted into a realm, based on their thoughts and fantasies. You will train, and get stronger so you may defend yourselves. Time there may be long but fret not for it is amplified 15x over. What everyone sees will be unique to you. But you will be able to share your burdens if you wish. Don't let yourselves down

And like that the "Golden being" was gone. 20 years have passed since then,"

With the snap of a book, Teacher Frank was done going over the final lesson of his class for the year. The government thought it was best not to give the exact details to children. everyone learned the full truth at the age of 17, because at 18 anyone no matter their manner in life, age, sex, or religion, could be called upon to enter into the other world.

The bell rang and with it, a somber attitude of realizing that all of humanity was weak hung over the class. the students shuffled out murmuring to themselves. While a few already knew from their parents or were not phased by this the majority were shaken.

One such person that did not seem to feel any dread towards this other world or the Hell Protocol was "Faron Alveron" The Day Vampire, The Sissy, The Sick, Twig, Orphan. and All other sorts of nicknames that were given to him for his appearance.

Faron is an average 17-year-old boy, His birthday is soon like the rest of his class. Standing an inch above 6ft tall. He was a walking bean pole. often sick and his hair stark white and hanging down to his waist. Faron was mocked and bullied relentlessly since he was a young child. He did not dread other worlds, golden beings, or anything else. escaping from reality seemed nice. Faron often dreamed about escaping his life or ending it. but decided to honor his parents who died in a plane crash by living on and trying to make them proud.

A body rushed at Faron and slammed into him, being pushed into the wall, and a small cracking was heard something in his shoulder seemed to have been sprained. Jason stood above Faron, like always laughing with his friends in tow.

"You like that you little shit, Why are you always doing something to annoy me. standing there uncaring after hearing that news. You are some psychopathic vampire, well maybe not a vampire your too weak."

With another quick movement, Jason kicked Faron in the legs hard enough to send him tumbling down, all of his stuff falling out of his bag. His old model flip phone was all he could afford at the orphanage after helping out all the younger children. a rusted pendant that was said to have belonged to his grandmother and his books. Jason leaned over and grabbed the phone snapping it with ease before spitting on Faron.

"Pray to god I don't see you on graduation day Freak." Jason stepped over Faron, Everyone in the halls ignored what was going on as this was a normal occurrence that they had all witnessed 1-2 times a day for the last six years. Numb to the pain and the emotional damage, Faron grabbed his things, throwing the phone out and putting the Pendant in his pocket.

About 3 hours later Faron finally got back to Mrs. Mables Orphanage. His Home, He was the eldest kid about to be rotated out. Faron reached into his pack and pulled out a few snacks that he purchased along the way. giving some to the smaller children. he couldn't afford a phone but he knew a couple of dollars would make the kid's day. Faron went to the computer room at the orphanage that was a few generations out of date but still very much appreciated when they were donated a few years back from the local school that was upgrading. He sat down to check his bank account. All of the money his parents had left him was given to the city as he became its ward. The only money he had t he personally saved and earned. After logging in Faron started looking at his finances. 113.32 was all he had to his name. enough for food foth if he really stretched it and ate only rice and a small serving of meat. Dreading the day when he would no longer legally be allowed to stay at the orphanage. As you were given a grace period of 1 week after you turn 18 to get out. And his birthday was in a couple of weeks. Faron sighed and decided today was not a good day for odd jobs as his shoulder hurt more and more after being attacked by Jason. Faron went to his room, pulled the curtain down on his half, and went to sleep deciding to skip breakfast so the kids could get more food.

At the stroke of midnight, Mable's antique clock could be heard tolling the new day. But most of the people here were already sleeping when suddenly a golden light flitted behind Farons Eyes.

Faron found himself standing in a white void. his mind wandering. This seemed to be the induction ritual but Faron was still only 17, this didn't make any sense.

"YOU WHO HAVE REACHED YOUR WORLDS REQUIRED NUMBER OF SOLAR CYCLES TO BE ADMITTED INTO THE FREEZING HELL PROTOCOL. FIRST THING FIRST, WE HAVE THREE SAVED SIMULATIONS FOR YOUR PEOPLE. YOU MAY NOT CHANGE, AND UNTIL YOU REACH A CERTAIN POINT YOU MAY NOT INTERACT WITH OTHERS. YOU MAY NEVER INTERACT WITH OTHERS NOT WITHIN THE SAME SIMULATION AS YOUR CHOICE. EIGHT BILLION PEOPLE HAVE ENTERED INTO "EARTH'S" SIMULATIONS SINCE ITS INCEPTION 20 YEARS AGO. OVER SIX BILLION HAVE DIED.

Type Population Fantasy 1,136,303,759 Futuristic 872,865,544 Horror 103,135,697

Faron looked at the list. He knew instantly what he was going to pick. The Horror section was misleading. Many people thought it would be like the old Hollywood movies, with slow-moving monsters that if you were rational would be able to be dealt with ease. That may have been the case early on, but was quite deadly. The Futuristic and Fantasy were more or less equal, until a few years back when a few hundred million people died in a massive tournament in the futuristic setting. Faron remembered growing up with his parents reading him bedtime stories from famous authors in the nineteen-forties and watching old movies that made his blood pump. more than anything Faron wanted to be a knight, a warrior that could protect people. as cool as laser guns were, swords were cooler. Faron quickly picked Fantasy and the voice again began to speak.

" NEXT YOU WILL BE GIVEN A LIST OF RANDOMIZED OPTIONAL GUIDES. THEY MAY ONLY HELP YOU IN COMBAT FOR A SINGLE MINUTE EVERY MONTH UNTIL YOU REACH A CERTAIN LEVEL DETERMINED BY THE SYSTEM. CHOOSE WISELY. WE WILL CONTINUE FROM THERE"

Faron looked at the table and thought long and hard, he knew that some people had gained Mighty monsters that helped them on the first few Dungeon Delves or challenges that they did. But He also didn't really connect with any of these creatures. The Chimera was a top-grade Guide, Faron was really hoping that he would be able to get something that would be able to fortify his weak physique like a Dragon, Vampire, or Angel. But he was disappointed with these. Training the guides took almost as much time as training oneself. But from what they were taught about the Dungeoneers, it was integral to how powerful they would become in the future. Faron could not decide, and his Luck was always bad. He knew he didn't want the Pixie, Imp. so he pulled out a dice, Chimera 1-2, Pegasus 3-4, Random 5-6. As the dice tumbled it stopped on the 5. Faron chose random and with it was a golden shower of lights and sparks.

"YOUR GUIDE HAS BEEN RANDOMLY CHOSEN FROM THE 108,000 DIFFERENT GUIDES. YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE LATE BLOOMERS EGG. AFTER COMPLETION OF THE 10 TUTORIAL STAGES, BEFORE YOU ENTER INTO THE MAIN SIMULATION YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE GUIDE THAT MOST MATCHES TO YOUR NEEDS"

Faron paled a little bit, if this was true that meant that he would have to go through the first 10 stages all alone, with no guide, no friend, and complete isolation. There was no time limit on the Tutorial, and it was different for everyone. specialized to help make the person stronger.

"YOUR STATISTICS WILL BE LISTED TO YOU IN A WAY THAT WILL BE MOST EASY FOR YOU TO PERSONALLY UNDERSTAND. ALONG WITH THE MEANING BEHIND YOUR RANKING. REMEMBER THERE ARE BENEFITS TO RAISING RANK. AS OF RANK C, YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING YOUR ITEMS AND ABILITIES INTO THE REAL WORLD. THIS WILL BE YOUR FIRST MILESTONE. BUT IT IS STILL VERY FAR AWAY."

Faron looked at his options and didn't even see some of the well-known ones, Such as Asura, Knight, Defender, and Sword Saint. Feeling doomed to not be able to go down the path of protection Faron decided to go with his most synchronous class. The Elemental Mage. but he made a declaration more to himself. "I will protect people, and I will get a spear or sword and fulfill my fantasies" not expecting an answer Faron closed his eyes.

"YOU HAVE CHOSEN ELEMENTAL MAGE. AND YOUR STATEMENT HAS BEEN HEARD. WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR GROWTH."
