A dark space. That's all it can be described as. An unending abyss that has swallowed up anything and everything. But one thing echoes out, a single sound and sight sticking out like a sore thumb here.
*sob* "Where am I... Someone help...." *sob*
A sole young boy with bright white hair and pointed ears, his eyes shut tightly as he tries to block out the void surrounding him. His baggy white shirt slightly moist from the tears falling down.
*sob* "Please... please..." *sob*
He has no idea how long he has been there, curled in a ball to protect himself from a danger he is not sure is there.
That is until...
"Now now, don't cry Fen. I'm here..." A voice interrupts the intense crying.
"Huh?" The boys sobbing stops in an instant, the voice was familiar to him. Having been too scared to open his eyes, the urge to do so now was strong.
"It's okay, you can open them now. I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you." The familiar voice says to him.
Her tone is gentle so as to disarm any fear he has, a tone that this voice has used many times before to help.
Slowly Fen begins to open his eyes, their deep redness standing out in the darkness of his surroundings.
"...Ah! Layla!" The boy shouts in astonishment.
The girl stood before him was someone he knew very well, someone he can always rely on to be there when he needs her. She wore a basic white shirt and brown shorts with black boots, her medium length hair tied back in a bun so it did not get in the way.
After a moment of wonder and relief, panic began to set back in. Fen's fearful eyes dart around them looking for any kind of change to the environment to signal they can escape.
"Layla! W-Where are we?! We need to leave here, this place does not feel right! Do... do you know the way out?" The boy turns to Layla in desperation, stuttering through his sentence as fast as he can.
In reply the girl smiles calmly back at him. It was a warm innocent smile that can disarm any person who lays eyes on it.
"It's okay Fen, I know exactly where to go. All you have to do is follow right behind me and we will be back home in no time." The gentle smile turns into the confident toothy grin she wears so often.
Layla reaches out a hand towards Fen as she smiles, beckoning him to take it with her fingers as she does.
Fen obliges and reaches out, taking her hand. Their equally pale, almost luminescent skin tone blending together as they do.
Fen wipes his tears away as he replies to her smile with a shy, embarrassed smile of his own. Seeing him cheering up, Layla nods happily at him.
"Now, let us go on an adventure to find the exit to this place hmm?" Layla says confidently, instilling that very feeling upon Fen.
"Yeah!" Fen shouts back, now smiling brilliantly.

They continue to walk hand in hand, Layla talking on happily as they walk. Though the words she says are slightly incomprehensible to Fen, he does not really take notice. He is just happy that she is here with him.
Until she stops mid-sentence.
"OH! There it is!" She says while pointing at a glowing doorway shaped entrance.
Fen beams as his eyes follow where she is pointing, eagerly wanting to be out of this place with Layla and to put all of this behind them.
"Yes! Yes I see it!" Fen shouts and begins to run towards it. As he does, Layla however does not move, their hands parting as Fen goes too far for her to reach.
Fen turns around to see her stood still, smiling ruefully as she steps back slightly.
"Hehe... you go on now Fen, I won't be far behind I promise." She continues to slowly step backwards towards the darkness again.
"Wha! No Layla! We can go together! Please don't go back!" Fen yells in a panic, starting to move his feet towards her... only to find he was still getting further away.
"NO! If you stay I'm staying with you!" Fen says, forgetting completely his fear of this dark place in order to stay with her... but to no avail.
Tears begin to flow once again as he reaches and grasps towards her.
A slight sadness gleams in Layla's deep red eyes, but she keeps smiling back at Fen as the doorway is almost upon him.
"NO! LAYLA!" Fen shouts as he turns and sees the doorway is basically inches from him, his vision going completely white...
"Don't worry, I'm sure we will meet again in no time... Goodbye... Little brother..." Her voice saying, as though she is right next to him... but something is strange... her voice seems to blend with another...

"Urghhhhhh..."
Light filters through a slight crack in the drapes and hits him in the eyes, causing him to let out an irritated moan.
Slowly, he moves to shield his half open eyes from the light, looking down at himself and noticing the bed is soaked in his sweat.
"… Dreams sure can be rough..." Fen says quietly to himself.
He pulls the covers from himself and climbs from the bed, staggering sleepily from the bed to the large mirror in the corner of the bedroom.
Rubbing his eyes, Fen looks at his dishevelled appearance. His eyes looking over his sweat covered appearance, from his cute androgynous face to his toned and slender body, Fen is a clear beauty although he would never admit it. His almost pristine appearance with a single large irregularity...
I have not had a dream like that in a little while.
Fen thinks to himself tracing the said irregularity, a large scar reaching from the middle of his chest to his left hip. Reaching for a nearby black gown that is draped over a nearby chair and throwing it over himself.
He pulls over a chair and reaches for a brush, throwing his long white hair over his shoulder so it rests across the front of his abdomen.
I wonder why today of all days...
He thinks to himself, running the brush through his hair nonchalantly... only to then hear a distant crying noise and rapid footsteps growing closer and closer.
He looks over his shoulder towards his door, and puts his finger to his mouth thoughtfully...
Wait... Oh no...
His eyes slowly widen in realisation... the noises and footsteps growing ever louder...
"It's today!"
He shouts, suddenly becoming very awake, yelling as he stands up quickly, knocking over the chair.
"W-wait my lords and ladys! Lord Fenriel has not awoken yet and may nee-whaaa waait please!"
A young man's voice yells in desperation as loud banging and commotion reaches just outside his door.
"FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!"
A collective yell roars through the gaps in the door and then...
*BANG*
A hoard of white haired people come barrelling through the door, with two charging straight into him knocking him down to the ground with the two hugging him.
"Feeeeeeeeeeeeeennnn! I can't believe you are leaving todaaay!" A young boy with shoulder length straight hair which distinctively covers one eye yells at him teary eyed.
"Hey! You stole what I was going to say!" Another young boy with wild and spikey hair yells at him angrily while pouting.
"HMPH you were too slow! Stop trying to copy me!"
Both immediately forgetting the reason they arrived... beginning to roll around wrestling each other.
*Siiiighhhhh*
Today's going to be a long day....
