First of all, I am sorry. I apologize for leaving you in the dark about the status of my story. Secondly, I wish to thank you. If you're here then you most likely were interested in this story at some point.

Now onto the status of this story. It will currently remain in Hiatus. I am working on rewriting portions of this story I wasn't able to during the last writhaton. So chances are, this story will return as a rewrite instead of a continuation. If you're no longer interested, then I completely understand, if you are, then I'll send an update somewhere this year about when I will launch the story.

However, I'm just letting you know, the story is not dead.

As for why I suddenly stopped posting, it was pretty much a combination of things. I started the Autumn of Yggdrasil on an idea I was quite passionate about, but the way I went about it was completely wrong. My only experience with writing is for my own enjoyment. I am an amateur through and through. This was the first time I ever shared my writing and was quite happy that people seemed to be enjoying this story.

However, writathon took a toll on this story and the way I wanted to tell it (not to mention, my overall inexperience). Writing itself takes time but I enjoyed the process. I knew where I had to improve and I was learning how to. However, some feedback that called my writing style unpleasant alongside several 0.5 ratings slowly killed my confidence and enthusiasm. Each time I went back I found more and more things I was unsure about until I finally needed to take a break from RoyalRoad.

In the end, life got the better of me in december, family stuff, combined with work stuff in januari was enough for me to stop writing. Before I knew it, it's been a month and a half since my last chapter, so here we are.

I'm still passionate about this story, I'm still working on it. But the more I reread, the more I find things I want to change or improve. So I'm just going to work on it for myself for the time being before I come back. Most likely as a rewrite. (I do think it went on Hiatus on a decent part. Right at the end of an action scene and the beginning of a new part of the story.)
