Chapter 1 : The Beta test

Chapter 1 : The Beta test

"I got it!!"

"Ha-ha! To all of you my lovable viewers. Thanks for all your support! Without you, I wouldn't have been able to get the beta test to the the new realistic MMORPG. Astral Fantasy."

My name is Lilia Evergreen. A gamer.

Yes, yes, I know. I'm a girl.

Now what most people of my age think about girls is that they go shopping, buy beautiful dresses, get their nails polished, look for handsome boys (perhaps also smart and talented boys), and so on and so forth.

But, that's not me.

Ever since my childhood, I'm always alone. Not much pay attention to me, it's like I was air. So, all my life, I spent most of my time on my room, just sitting there, reading books and other stuff.

Oh, and by the way I'm living with my Aunt and Uncle. They're very kind people, also very reliable and lovable. Whenever I trip myself, my Aunt would always come to me and say, "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

They're really nice and loving.

However, since I was always alone, my aunt and uncle would always worry for me.

And so, to make sure that i always get my dose of attention, my uncle always joined me on his livestreams.

Oh wait, your wondering why my uncle is doing livestreams?

Well that's because it's his 'job' he says.

My uncle's a musician, and when he creates music, my uncle would go 'on live' to meet his fans.

There he entertains them and talks with them, and to make me understand better on what livestreams are, it's like talking to people all around the world.

He also told me that livestreams could help me get friends.

My uncle's really caring.

Well exponentially, when I started streaming, I didn't do any music or made myself look very attractive.

I'm not good at those stuff

What I did was that I look for the most popular streaming topic and I saw it.

Playing games.

2 years ago, I didn't understand why streaming games was popular, and that was until I started to do it myself that I found out why.

Oh, by the way, I started streaming when I was 16, I'm 18 now.

"Lili, when you get to try the beta test, pls do tell us your experience okay. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧"

"Can I buy your beta acc?"

"....."

******************************

Looking blankly at her stream chat, Lilia then said,

"Thank you for the support everyone, except for the one asking for the beta acc."

After she said this, her viewers and fans then started to reprimand the person that asked for the beta account that Lilia had tried so hard to get.

"Lilia, come down now, you still have to go to school."

"Coming!"

Looking back at her computer, Lilia then hastily said,

"Sorry guys. I only opened the stream today early in the morning just to announce that I got the beta."

Smiling beamingly she then said,

"Would you forgive me if I turn it of now?"

******************************

"Why of course you can do that."

"Real life is just as good as the virtual (although real life is harder).

"Good luck on your day Lili!"

"Happy studies!! (And then tommorow stream at school okay). (◠‿・)-☆

******************************

Seeing the happy and positive replies of her viewers, Lilia smiled even more and said thank you to them.

After that, she turned off her computer, got dressed for school, and then head downstairs.

"Auntie! I'm here."

Wearing her favorite hoodie, and then making her beautiful black hair into a ponytail.

Lilia then greeted her auntie.

"Lilia, there you are. Okay go now. First day of school starts in 30 minutes. I don't want you to be late."

Smiling wryly, Lilia said,

"Oh auntie, don't be worry, I'll run as fast as lightning. Oh and auntie, it's not school, it's college."

"Whatever, whatever, it's all the same. Go now."

"Okay bye!"

Opening the gate of their house, Lilia then got ready to her University, but suddenly stopped as she noticed that there's a small box just right in front of their gate.

"What's this?" She asked to herself.

The small box looked like a box straight up from a sci-fi movie. It's color full black with blue outlines. There's also a small lid, seemingly that's where you open the box.

Inspecting the small box, she saw a small note beneath it.

"Here's your beta. Have a nice day." Was what it said.

Confused by what the note meant and out of curiosity, Lilia then reached for the small box's opening.

"Lilia! What are you still doing there? School is about to start!" Shouted Lilia's auntie.

Flustered, Lilia immediately hid the small box within her hoodie, bade goodbye to her auntie, closed the gate, and then ran.

Looking at Lilia who ran like a horse, Lilia's auntie couldn't help but sigh.

"Jeez, that girl. What was she doing just standing there anyway."

.....

"Haaa, haaa, I made it."

As of now, Lilia is now right in front of her university's front gate.

Looking around, there were also other students panting, seemingly in the same case as her.

"At least I'm not alone in this type of situation." She thought to herself.

After having a breather, she then fixed her posture and then started to walk at normal pacing.

However, the university bell rang, which then made every single student that is still on the front gate blank out.

And then, another marathon started.

.....

It took Lilia a while just by looking for her class, when she did so, she felt relieved since the professor of the class still hasn't arrived.

When she entered the classroom though, she stood there like an idiot.

Why? Well that's because every single person on the classroom looked at her with different expressions.

Some looked at her blankly, some looked at her in curiosity, some in amusement, any type of expressions that can be expressed by the human face was shown at her.

Breaking this sort of atmosphere, she then began to walk on the sideline of the auditorium while looking down.

"Who's she?"

"Dunno. Is she new here?"

"She looks nice."

Hearing the murmurs from her supposed classmates, Lilia couldn't help but give herself a downcast smile.

When she streams, at least there she can be free. When it comes to social standings outside of streaming however, she just can't get it right.

Start a conversation? How do you do that? Do they like what I like? Would they accept me if I say them my hobbies?

These sort of questions are what would enter her mind, whenever she encounters situations like this.

"Haaa, get yourself together Lili! This is the first day of college, how bad could it be?" She thought, just to encourage herself.

Finding an unoccupied seat, she then laid her backpack and fixed her stuff, awaiting their class professor.

(A/N: this is not earth)
