Like Lucinda mentioned, there was a battle outside the tree I was hiding it. There strange monkeys were launching some kind of water magic while the baboons were spitting out purple flames from their mouths like primitive flamethrower.

Also, there wasn't only a few dozen but thousands of them! The only reason the battle finally stopped was due to another magical beast that was much more powerful then both tribes combined.

It was some kind of dark red rabbit with pinkish cheeks and small amount of electricity around its body. It was so adorable I wanted to run and hug it until it released a huge shockwave, killing hundreds of those primates in a flash.

Luckily it quietly left while dragging a few extra fried corpses.

"Lucinda, what was that magical beast from earlier?" I asked, still slightly shocked about what happened moments ago, no pun intended.

That was the Origin Rank Zabrabbit. One of the dead gods made it after reading some books in your world cause he was bored. It was originally a Common rank, but their rank rose quickly by getting struck by lighting or living in highly dense mana areas like this forest. Though they aren't easy to find anymore.

Sigh, she doesn't have to be so blunt about it. Well let loot these corpses!!

After quickly eating some burnt meat I carefully exist the tree I was hiding in and climbed down the branches as quickly as I could.

Dam those monkeys made it look easy.

Once I finally arrived at the bottom I started collecting all the corpses on the ground. I did this for a few hours with no interruption. Seems that red rabbit or whatever scared off any beasts nearby which was great since I didn't want to become someone's dinner.

"Now let check Inventory", I said slightly proud of myself.

I started walking in the same direction that the red rat went off to. Yea, I'm calling it red rat from now on. Zabrabbit sounds too funny for something that dangerous. I figured that if I follow the rat it's presence will keep all the other predators away from me.

After an hour of walking through the forest, realizing how truly small I was compared to these ancient trees, I soon find a clearing up ahead. In the middle of the clearing was a large lake that seemed to stretch for few dozen miles before I saw trees in the distance. Around it were small trees about my size that were full to the brim with black flowers. In the lake were many of these flowers, floating peacefully on the water, giving it a calm feeling as if this place was safe. As I stare at the lake I soon realize that I can finally see how I look like now. 

As that though struck me like lightning, I ran up to the lake as quickly as I could, avoiding the large roots that lay hidden in the grass. I was in for a world of shock. In the reflection was a beautiful woman with long crimson red hair, sky blue eyes, and long pointed ears. This was a beauty unlike anything I've ever seen in my old world. With the flowers floating around, it seemed as if it was a painting instead of an actual person. 

"I look beautiful!! Just who body did I take to look like this?!" I asked while still shocked about my face that I've now finally seen.

"Dam it! Why can't things be easy for me?!" I yelled out loud, creating an echo that lasted for a while.

This would turn out to be a huge mistake.

 the lake suddenly exploded, creating a large pillar of water in the air for a few moments. Then in my sight was a large 15 meter black scaled serpent with bloody red eyes. It's  fangs were as long as my Amazon bow, making them seem more like large swords. On it's scaly back were large black batlike  wings that seemed to stretch a dozen meters, creating a large shadow over me where I stood.

That exactly what I did. I ran away from the winged serpent as fast as I could. As I ran I heard trees being smashed like twigs as I was jumping over huge tree roots and charging through bushes, feeling small thorns scratch me a few times. My feet were hurting slightly from running bare footed, but it was either suffering a little pain or enjoying a life in a snake's stomach which I'd surely hate.. I looked behind and saw the serpent was only 20 meters behind be and getting closer then ever. As I make a turn around a tree I slipped on the grass. Dam it, why couldn't the goddess have given me some sneakers!

Within moments the serpent was mere meters away, striking to take a bite out of me.

"I'm so dead" I said knowing that my second death was near.

Then something flashed over my head and pierced the serpent right between the eyes, causing blood to splatter everywhere on the ground with some covering my feet.

The snake trembled before collapsing to the ground, obviously now dead.

"What just happened?" I said, confused as to what occurred.

"What happened is that I just saved your life once again." a unknown voice said, filled with slight annoying attitude.

I turned around and saw a beautiful woman with dark skin and elf ears. She was wearing dark green color leather armor that seem built for speed as it only covered the vital areas.  In her hands was a large purple bow with a thick red string. The bow itself gave off some kind of dim glow, but other then that it seemed like a normal bow to me. Lucinda this a dark elf, right?

"So what was your name again?" I asked carefully and quietly, hoping I didn't trigger another death flag.

"it's Maria, Mistress please stop forgetting my name. It's annoying you know" Maria said while sighing.

I got off the ground and went towards the corpse. Maria quickly went and blocked my path.

"Mistress, I'll go and dismantle the corpse. You don't know how to do that remember" Maria said while giving a forced smile.

I wonder if the princess did a horrible job dismantling before I came. My inventory automatically does that for me. Though I guess I should keep that hidden for now since I wouldn't want to somehow blow my cover. The deceased princess seemed to have been an airhead or rather forgetful. That should help in my act to convince her I'm her mistress or whatever. Though this just kept confirming that I wasn't a man anymore.

"Fine, just dismantle it quickly. I don't want stay out in the open for too long" I said while feeling uncomfortable as Maria was staring at me.

What? Try having a beauty glare at you in the eye and say your not imtimidated by it. I dare you!

Sorry Lucina, bit on edge after nearly being killed again.

I went to sit on a large tree root, laying my bowhile Maria started dismantling the serpent and putting parts of the corpse in a bag, not even sparing the blood which she carefully collected and stored in glass jars with strange symbols carved in.

Hey Lucinda, how is she fitting all those parts in that small bag? She already put in like 30 kilo of meat already.

We seriously need to get you the Identification Skill later. Also, that's a inter-dimensional time storage. Or called storage bag. It's a more primitive version of your Inventory. This one seems to be a high rank one since it has the Royal seal.

As Lucinda said there was a seal on the bag. It was the image of a white Phoenix holding a bow in one claw and what seems to be a white katana in the other. Other then that it seemed like an ordinary cloth bag to me.

While chatting with Lucinda I soon realized that Maria was done dismantling and was putting bones into the bag. It's only been 40 minutes and she's already got that huge serpent in the bag, leaving nothing but a large patch of red grass which seemed to have absorbed some of the blood.

"Mistress, I've finished dismantling the Demi-God Imugi" Maria said as she put the last bone into the bag and closed it.

Oh, so that's what it was called. Why didn't you tell me Lucinda?

Sigh, I really wish I could access the internet right now. I then lifted my head, realizing that Maria face inches from mine.

"What?!" I fell off the tree root and landed on the ground, knowing that I'd be sore for some time with that fall.

"Mistress, did you even hear what I was saying?" Maria was obviously annoyed at being ignored, not even caring that I fell.

"Yes Maria, you were saying something about killing some Great fire apes" I said while getting off the ground, dusting off any dirt on my clothes.

Maria just sighs as if expecting that answer. "No, I said we are gonna AVOID the great fire apes so it'll be easier to get to the center of the forest. It'll be too dangerous fighting against those apes in this forest where they have the advantage. Then we can get that Life tree branch that you wanted to obtain."

"Hey Maria, I changed my mind..." I spoke while looking to the forest as if I saw something interesting.

"About what mistress?" Maria asked while checking on her bow, testing the strength of the string.

Then I dropped the figurative bomb.

"I don't think we need to go to the center of the forest."

The forest was dead silence except for the slight rustle of the leaves in the wind. Maria grips her bow tightly, turning her knuckles white.

"What are you implying mistress?" Maria face was slightly red from anger, making her look more beautiful, but I couldn't tell as I felt a cold shiver run through my body..

Cold sweat trickled down my back as I was face with an immense pressure. Is this what bloodlust feels like?! what did she go through to make her this scary?!

"Well I thought with all this traveling we could head back to a nearby town and rest for a while. We know the territories of most of the creatures and what they are. With this information we can easily come back to this point faster then our current time and more prepared!" I said this all in one breath as I felt Maria's bloodlust increase.

Minutes went by as Maria glared at me. If there were any animals nearby they'd have been long gone by now. I'm even seeing red smoke around her body. What kind of  trick is that?!
