Feeling lightheaded, he gathered his strength and readjusted his body to keep up with his feeble mind. Once he looked down to get a better view, he stood shocked at the sight in front of him.
‘My body!’ He thought for a while, racking his brain, trying to make sense of the place he was in right now.
Before he fell unconscious, there was a beam of light appeared out of nowhere and passed through his forehead. And before he could react, he suddenly found himself trapped in someone's memories, reliving the same scenes again and again, reciting words that felt like a spell on his tongue.
As the days turned into weeks and months, a new memory surfaced each time the voice in his mind recited the spell. The memories were shrouded in a dense mist, making it difficult for him to see anything beyond. He could only make out the blurred images and the seductive voice echoing in his mind.
The voice intensified with each passing moment, echoing like a captivating tune. Suddenly, right before his eyes, a silhouette began to appear, gradually becoming more defined until a figure materialized, shrouded in a mysterious mist.
The figure reached out its hand, holding an orb that was steadily floating in its palm. The orb drifted toward him like a leaf on the breeze.
Just as he was about to reach for the orb, a bright light suddenly enveloped him, and everything went black.

As he emerged from the portal, a towering inferno greeted him, its fiery tendrils swirling and dancing around a glowing crystal. He subconsciously raised his hand as he looked for his sword, but instead, he found his hand resting on a warm, rough slate floor. Confused, he stood at the edge of the pillar, without a hint of emotions in his eyes - fully embracing the scorching heat of the flames to burn him. However, to his surprise, they enveloped him with a warm embrace, almost as if they were welcoming him.
Suddenly, a hand reached out to him. He turned around and was met with the sight of two heavily armed warriors standing before him. Their swords were planted firmly on the ground, their leather armor adorned with blue cloth straps, and their elongated silver helmets bore a sword crest that extended to the bottom of their chins, exuding an intimidating presence.
Confused, he tried to persuade them to stand up from their knees, but they remained steadfast in their kneeling positions, determined to pledge their loyalty to their lord.
He stared at them for a while, trying to make sense of the strange behavior of the two men. He couldn't understand how they had instantly appeared out of nowhere. And he found it hard to believe that maybe it was his own doing when he placed that sword in the stone, or else nothing here made sense.
“My head hurts just thinking of it,” he said as the pain got worse.
And speaking of headaches...
“Again!” He said with a grimace while holding his head as he felt a sudden pang right through him. Then, with a clap of thunder, a voice spoke through his mind in an ancient tone: “Zahkrii voth ahst miin saraan faal seer golz.”
As the pain subsided, he rose to his feet, knowing what to do. He began reciting the spell in his mind, and as soon it was formed, he took a deep breath and evoked the words exactly what the ancient voice told him.
The winds grew heavy and swirled around him as the entire area succumbed to an unknown force. In an instant, he let out a shout that rippled through the air and shot through the sky.
“Sword with an eye beneath await to lead the seer stone."

Without time to be surprised, he instantly felt a whip of air pass through him, reminding him of what was to come. The sword all of a sudden displayed an intense calling as it trembled, waiting for its master. He approached it without hesitation, drawn to its power. As he come closer to the sword, he felt a pull emanating from the sword's encased crystal, drawing in the fiery energy that surrounded it.
He marveled at the way the two crystals worked in perfect harmony, fueling the sword with their powerful energy. The pillar and the crystal within the sword seemed intimately connected, like two halves of a single entity. It was peculiar to see two crystals working in such perfect unison. As he stared at the two crystals, his curiosity only deepened.
Grasping the hilt of his sword with both hands, he felt the energy coursing through his body, flowing to every corner of his being. The remaining energy flowed through crucial parts of his body, and soon enough, he felt a pulsating sensation in his forehead. The energy began to converge, channeling into streams that coursed through his frontal lobe, and without warning, he felt an alien presence burrow through his skull, giving birth to an eye that took root in the center of his forehead.

Feeling the changes and the new information ringing inside his head, he slowly opened his eyes, eager to experience the new power that brimmed within him.
What lay before him was a split vision of every direction he could set his eyes on. He seemed to be able to simultaneously widen the focus of his eyes with ease. But all of a sudden, his vision changed from black and white as he saw strange lines floating in the space that looked like slits tearing it apart.

'Why didn't I see that... to think I have this thing in my head all along, come to think of it, It did happen to me, it was that memory telling me I have learned the dragon language... ugh, I’m so forgetful.'
[Coordination of your memory has been decreased]
What! Are you kidding me!
As soon as he opened his third eye, he felt his body go limp, his strength draining away, and he collapsed to the ground, exhausted by what had just occurred. This sudden change startled the two warriors from the distance, who rushed to his aid and helped him back to his feet.
Grateful, he then asked the two warriors for their names politely.
“My name is Alfrick Longcloak, my liege,” He said with a tone of authority and loyalty lingering in it.
“What about you warrior”, he said while he eyed the man with the dark brown skin and golden eyes while also being a height taller than Alfrick.
“My name is Feimshall, my liege,” He said with an enigmatic voice while burying his heavy sword on the ground with his two hands on the hilt.
“System, send me information about their character profile,” He said with an excited grin plastered on his face.
And after a while later, silence reigned the area without a response, which quickly reminded him of one of the memories from his mind regarding the function of the shard, realizing that there was no system at work but instead it was the shard’s doing. The shard's main ability was to track progression, utilizing the entity memories to create a similar function that works similarly to a system.
Who said you can’t use your brain?
Disappointed by this realization, he turned his gaze to the stone pillar. He hoped that he could pull out the sword this time. But right before he held the sword in his arms. Out of nowhere, the space rippled and crackled as a gigantic slit instantaneously appeared right below the floating crystal - as it tore apart the fabric of space and gradually formed into a Rift Gate.

As the Rift Gate formed, the floating crystal burst with radiant light, greedily devouring the leftover energy from the space rift once it was formed. Then after quite some time, a vast amount of information suddenly emerged from the crystal, forming a wall-like panel hovering in front of him.
He refocused his eyes to get a better view and to his surprise, a row of information suddenly appeared on the screen, with a long line of talents and skills following beneath it.
What the hell, he didn’t get a system but this big douche crystal got it. Big ass hologram phone? Should I call you core crystal or core shard?

His eyes widened at the sight of the information hauling at him, knocking him off senselessly at the amount numbers displayed in it. But after some time digesting the information reflected on the screen, he decided to name the crystal in front of him, to avoid further confusion in his mind.
