Prologue

It took 700 years to finally get rid of war. There were now only five countries in the world, and while their foreign relations were still a bit tense, they were settling down.

It was in this situation that the highly tense population discovered that without the war to fuel discussions and the news to look forward to or be terrified of...

They had no other entertainment methods.

It was predictable, though; 700 years of war, and with every day being more tense than the other, there was no city with a structure more than a 100 years old. That was enough to show the intensity of the war.

In such a tense atmosphere, large-scale entertainment was obviously hard to come by.

But now that it began, there were many ideas that came about.

Music was obviously first, as it had a long history; even wartime was dominated by music.

After all, music is emotion.

Then, it was variety shows.

Books on the World Wide Web - A public, globalized version of INTRANET used in militaries.

Movies.

And last of all, Anime.

Anime was a weird world.

Nothing was real about what we could see, yet it was oddly realistic. Easy to relate to, it was an instant hit with kids.

And one such kid was Howard Prince.

He was from a relatively wealthy and renowned family of artists, and thus, his education from a young age was very strict. But soon, it became apparent that he had little to no talent in the arts; neither could he sing or play instruments, nor could he dance or draw.

But, not many knew about his eye for art. Nor did they know about his slumbering, explosive talent in writing.

As such, he was given up on. The word would have been discarded, even, if it were not for the fact that he was still dearly loved by his parents.

And as he turned six, the first anime was aired on television.

And it blew his mind.

While in the future, that anime might have been rated as one of the worst to ever come out, at that point in time, its worldview was vast. Even the future had to accept this, but the anime's pace was too rushed; the characters had little to no substance, the plot was forced, the romance was basically one scene of a suspension bridge effect, the protagonist was way too stupid and everything was cliche, not to mention the puke-worthy art.

Still, the worldview was insane, and it was this point that dragged him into the world of anime.

"Mom," He spoke, not taking his eyes off the screen of the television. "I want to become an Anime Director."

"Sure," She replied. "As long as you study, you can become anything you want to be."

Little did she know the sheer effect of these words on the world's most terrifying genius.

And so the little kid studied. He studied while brushing his teeth, studied while eating, studied while in the car, and studied when at home.

Slowly, he seemed to enjoy studying.

But there was always anime at the back of his mind. Deep down, he felt that the only world he was meant to be in was the Anime world.

Seven years later, a confused mother was sending her son to the Central Institute for Arts and Science, wondering how her talentless son already zoomed past her. After all, she had failed high school and stayed back, although she had dropped out later.

And it was in this way that Prince took his first steps.

"Rise and shine, CIAS, for the future world's best is entering your bounds."

Howard smirked to himself under his hat as he walked inside.

He was finally here.
