Ever since i merged with my son. I had this question.. what are the requirements for merging? I need to find out. As i was walking aimlessly around the former warzone i stumbled on a field hospital. I decided to go in and saw the tent was devided into 3 spaces. Wouned, heavily wounded. And the dying. As i walked past those wounded,. They all looked at me and thanked me. I did what i had to do. They should not thank me for doing my duty. I walked past rhe heavily wounded. Most of them were out cold. Some that were still lucid, looked at me as if i was their hope.. these are moments i will never forget. These are eyes that would hunt me in my dreams if i would still have them. All i could say.. you all fought well.. we have won. Rest now. Even without a human body i still felt the emotions.. i was not fast enough. Strong enough... Good enough. Would it have been different if i would have fought a bit harder? Could i have prevented these wounded. Could i have prevented all those that died?.. i felt guild, failure. And then i felt.. dad, you have done what you could, and you could have done no more. Stop these thoughts,.. i know i feel them,. But we gave it our all. And we saved soo many people. We have driven those eaters of flesh from our world.. we have done enough, we are good enough. And we saved many people..

I walked into the part where the dying laid.. dockters and nurses running around, trying to ease the pain of those who laid here. Waiting for their final moment.

I asked a doctor his status.

I stood up and spoke up. I am Angel Unit 1, do you wish to merge to join me at the fight from now until we die?

Everyone looked at me, than at Sergio.

Sergio: sir. I would be honored.

I opened up the suit,. And asked the dokters to lay him inside.

While they did this, i send a message to all Angel Units : visit the field hospitas, see if you can find anyone to merge. Ask them. Safe as many as you can.

They are bringing in supplies, this ship is finaly gonna be used what is was meant for.

We are with 3 squads and Angel 1. Enough firepower is mounted on this ship and in it to destroy a small moon.. should be enough to kill a rogue god if shit hits the fan. We launch in 3 hours. It does look better these past few weeks.. thanks to those Angel Units we managed to reclaim our planet for now.. there have been no futher sightings of those enemy suits. There are special teams working now to lay the remains of our fallen to rest.. to many have fallen. Why are they so hooked on life that they are willing to eat every living beeing they come across.. how many species have they wiped out with their hunger. Hmm. Is this navigation map.. live? I start looking for the planets between earth and that of the Seref. There should be 2 civilisations on 2 different worlds. They have been seeded but they are marked with a red dot.. but there is no way to know when they have fallen. As i am looking at the map.. i notice.. some planets have blue pointers, there are not that many. 3 in our milky way. And 7 red dots.. the planet of the Seref had a red dot. Earth has a blue dot.. does that mean there are no more living beeings on Seref homeworld?

Ahhh General. Ambassador. Thank you for coming. As you both know i am now kinda like a navigation computer.. and i have been searching the milky way for signs of life.. i zoomed in on Earth. ct'rcazlã looks at me with a shocked expression, and says there is no life in the milky way any more. The general is better at disguising his reaction. As you can see, Earth had a blue dot. I'm guessing that it's because we have survived until now.. euhmm Ambassador,.. when you left your Planet,. Were there still some of your people there?

Ct'rcazlã looked sad at the general, and than at me..

There were about 2 Million of my people left on my home world. Mostly military, why do you ask this?

Ambassador... Look, and i shifted the map to the first planet with a red dot between between earth and the Seref homeworld.

You remember passing by this planet?

Ct'rcazlã: yes,.. there were some Structures on that planet, but if i have to guess.. the ones who lived there died some few thousand years ago.

Ok. And what about this one?

As the 2nd red dot planet is shown on the map.

Ct'rcazlã: those who lived there had bad luck. We have had an message from them some 200ish years ago about a deadly virus and there is a space buoy that sends out a warning to stay away by the time we had arrived.. no one survived. they digged to deep and unleashed a very deadly virus or gas. We dont know which of those 2.. but we have heeded that warning ever since.

Wally: so. We know for sure that the red dot means... No life present.. Ambassador,. I am very sorry to have to say this.. but.. i showed his homeworld.. i tried to give it a perfect close up without distorting the image..

He just stood there and looked at his home.. and tears started to flow.. the general looked at him, then at me. Gave me a nod, and walked out of the map room.

And i.. i just waited, hoping he could give it a place in his heart.

We stood there for about 15 minutes until he looked at me, and all he said was Thank you.

I, i wanted to comfort him.. but..

Ambassador, i cannot detect vessels this far away. But there is a chance that some of your people made it into space. I can request a scout mission to make detailed pictures of any spaceport or airfield and to search any vessels that left your planet. We can at least make sure there are none of your people flying aimless in space.
