“So, are we doing it?” A cloaked figure spoke. Dusty blonde hair fell below the line of his hood, and his eyes gleamed with interest and ambition.
“Yes. We have waited many months, but the plan is in motion. Your Legion must move in and capture New York, and, specifically, that boy.” Another man spoke. He looked normal overall, with crisp gray hair and glowing brown eyes. But one of his arms was clawed, and glowed with a menacing low purple.
“Is he really so important? We don’t know for sure if he-”
The clawed man slammed his arm on the table. “I know an Ancient Guardian when I see one. Are you questioning me, boy?”
“No, Sir.”
The blonde boy was still a young 15, but had clawed his way up the ranks up this “Legion”. He had mastered his technique and risen through the ranks to become a Captain, the commander of a legion. He, and this man, both worked for a very secretive organization, The New Order.
Stolen story; please report.
“You knew what you were signing up for when you joined us, young one,” The clawed man snarled. “Do not back out now.”
The boy nodded. He knew the risks of making the clawed man angry, or as many called him, The Boss. But the boy knew that even if he was so young, and yet, so powerful, he couldn’t defeat The Boss, no matter what he tried.
“I’ll send full-fledged mages. But the boy has an escort. He’ll reach the Academy before we can capture him.”
The Boss was almost compelled to scream, but chose against it. He had to keep his cool…had to capture this threat. But under the care of Gary, and all those Elder Order of the Light, he stood no chance. The Boss would surely punish him if he failed.
“Don’t worry, Sir,” the Captain whispered, concerned about speaking up about his plan. “We have a risk that I have already taken.”
“What might that be?”
The boy grinned, knowing that The Boss would surely forget all of his troubles if he found out about his plan.
“We have a weapon on the inside. A spy.”
