Arc 1, Ch 01.3

BOOM

RUMBLE

The cave started to tremble violently making rocks fall off the ceiling. A crack suddenly appeared from a wall, it stretched across the rocky ground splitting it in two. Adon and Naima didn't budge at all as they continued staring at the globe Amory and his brother were in, they seemed to know there was no way to escape the coming doom, so they decided to spend their last few moments next to their sons although they couldn't be seen.

They would have loved to join them, but they couldn't abandon ship unless their people were safe. It was a sin among all kings and queens to leave their people and ensure their own safety. The most they could do in this situation was to save their kin and leave their history and teachings with them.

BOOM

As the crack reached the other side of the cave, an ear-splitting explosion was let out. The place they were in collapsed and nothing could be seen anymore.

POOF

Adon threw some rocks away from himself and revealed himself. Naima also appeared from the same place he was at and cleaned some dust away from herself.

"Let's head out and see the outside one last time sweetie, even if it's all going to be dust. They're safer here... the farther they are from... any blast residue, the better." Naima slowly said as she looked towards her sons one last time with red teary eyes.

RUMBLE

"Let's head out then my woman." Adon slowly said with slight pain in his voice. He placed a hand on Naima's back and together they vanished, leaving a big adult sized sphere flickering in a deep blue light.

Inside was an infant baby with a young boy sleeping peacefully. Just kids, who shouldn't have any responsibilities, yet they bore the weight of both of their parents.

 Ryu Empire

In the cloudy sky two people were floating, they were like gods, watching the destruction of the world. A man and a woman, it was Adon and Naima. Each the Emperor and Empress respectively, underneath them was an enormous kingdom as far as the eye could see. There were collapsed buildings and people running amok. Not too far away there were many huge craters dispersed across the kingdom, everything in them was dust and steam came out of them. People were on their knees, some cursing the heavens with ear splitting screams and others not able to accept what was happening.

As Adon and Naima saw all this they felt like their hearts were being poked with a needle. This kingdom they had ruled for almost a millennium was going to be dust very soon and they weren't strong enough to do anything about it. They did all they could by saving only their heirs. After burning their life essence, it reduced their strength and only after healing completely would they be able to burn it again without many dangers.

As all their people were in panicked states, running amok like frightened deer from the sky the clouds were suddenly pierced through and what they revealed were giant speeding meteorites. What shocked Adon and Naima wasn't this though. In between all the massive meteors they saw a spear. It was taller than Adon and it was made of material he couldn't recognize. He was barely able to see it though as it went faster many times faster than light itself and was about to strike the ground below them.

"I love you Naima. You are and always will be... the love of my life. Goodbye my wife..." a whisper sounded out in all the mayhem, it was filled with love, caring and a bit of regret. It was Adon saying his goodbye to his lover.

"Y-you fool!" whispered another voice, this voice had sadness in it mixed with happiness. It was Naima and her eyes leaked tears as she looked at Adon before saying, "It is nothing but a... see you later..." as she said this with a sniff in between she leaned towards Adon as he also leaned towards her and together they gave a final kiss...

DING

Just as the spear connected with the ground it made the sound of a needle hitting the floor. It seemed odd for such a frightening weapon to make almost no sound as it struck the ground, but it wasn't to be underestimated. Time seemed to freeze as not a soul moved, the meteors were frozen in place along with all the collapsing buildings, and just as everything was frozen in time the spear acted like a black-hole. It sucked in everything, it seemed to have no restriction as even the far moon and far sun were seeming to get closer.

It acted as the focal point and everything along with everyone was being pulled by it, after a few moments it abruptly exploded, sending a wave of destruction spreading across the land and across the sky with it in the middle. The wave left no life and continued with no sign of losing momentum, the only eye-catching thing it hold was an odd sphere like object that it took with it. It had happened in just a few seconds, yet it did many things at once. What was once a life filled kingdom was now plain dirt and dust. It was a barren land and seemed to have always been that way.

----------------------------------------

MOMENTS BEFORE..

Amory and Martin weren't aware of the events outside. The sphere they were in was a protective sphere that didn't allow them to wake up until it reached its time requirement or otherwise until it was destroyed. It was more of a prison technique served to lock people or beasts inside, therefore it was powerful. Normally only a few layers were added but for Amory and Martin many were added, and runes were placed on each one serving to add on their protection.

When the spear sucked in everything, the sphere was rapidly sucked in, speeding through the crack that reached the surface. Just as the sphere was pulled in by the spears gravitational force it was blown away with an abrupt wave of destruction. Ridding the land of any life forms, they were sent towards the sky by the force, speeding past space like a comet, it would make small explosions every so often making it go faster.

The sphere had lost many caps of protection already. It was down to a third of its original size. The original explosion had made it lose more than half its original size alone. Now flying through space, it was slowly losing more layers of 'skin'.

The wave of destruction had lost momentum and was steadily losing speed, it slowed the sphere's losses by a lot as it would only lose a layer when crashing with meteors or other objects in space. It didn't lose speed however as it seemed to only get faster with each exploding layer.

Like this it continuously flew through space. Sometimes meeting with comets and other times crushing through meteors, making it lose momentum but nevertheless not disrupting it.

----------------------------------------

2 Years Later

In space, a comet could be seen flying past planets, brushing with meteors and sometimes traveling with other comets.

Inside however were two boys. They were in deep sleep and looked to be unaware of anything around them. The comet they were in was now down to a fifth its original size. It would only use energy to maintain them in a 'frozen' state, keeping them alive.

The sphere had traveled past many planets and had gone by far too many beautiful scenes. Any person would yearn for a chance to see any one of the many majestic stars they had passed by.

----------------------------------------

3 Years Later

Amory was now five years old, but he hadn't grown at all and neither had his brother who should be eleven now. They were still sleeping, and the sphere was speeding past space, it was down to a fifth its original size though. It had a thin 'shell' and the two brothers were clearly visible through it.

As the sphere sped past space in a straight route, a planet could be seen in the far distance, along with it a bright red star also appeared, splashing light all around it. The planet was but the size of a needle's eye from where they were. As they sped across space the planet didn't seem to get much bigger but other planets came into view.

After a few hours the planet that was originally the size of a needle's eye was now the size of a young boy. The other planets were the size of an adult's palm and the bright red star was the size of an adult. It was farther away than any of the planets, but it was much bigger than all of them combined.

Not losing any speed, the sphere continued speeding towards the originally seen planet. As it got closer to the planet the sphere was barely able to be seen in front of such an enormous planet. It was currently dark as the sun was behind the planet.

BOOM

As the sphere met with that planet's atmosphere it started to compress the air in front of it at such a rapid pace it ignited with an explosion, making it ignite in an extremely hot flame that was still getting hotter by the second.

The sphere would lose a layer every few seconds from the intense burning it was undergoing, its explosions would lose the layer that was on fire, but the new layer would ignite quickly. Its flame caused the night sky to shine for thousands of miles across the originally night sky.

UNKNOWN LOCATION

"Elder, do you think it's a treasure?" asked a middle-aged man.

"It's just a meteor... but just in case send a squad to investigate." answered an old man with a bald head and long white beard.

----------------------------------------

UNKNOWN LOCATION

"Investigate this and bring back anything useful..." whispered a black robed man as he stared at the bright meteor through a window. It was about to land in the far distance.

"Yes master." a firm deep voice answered from behind the robed man. As soon as the man answered he vanished.

UNKNOWN LOCATION

In a forest a small group of five people were walking down a dirt path, each was carrying his or her own weapon and they abruptly stopped as they stared at the meteor burning in the sky. It was but a split second as it flew passed them.

With a tilt of his head a young man in his twenties asked, "Did you guys see that? Let's go see it! Come on!" without waiting for a reply he started sprinting towards the location the meteor went in.

"H-hey! Wait! Damn it, he'll die all alone in this forest! Doesn't he remember where we're at?!" Urged a young woman as she also ran towards the same direction as the young man. "Let's go guys! Catch up!" as her figure got further away she shouted back.

The other three people quickly came back to their senses and ran towards them, wanting to catch up.

"Damn it man, they're going to get us killed!" complained another young man as he ran.

"Oh, quit whining, it'll be fun!" said a young woman as she encouraged him to keep going.

POOF

As the sphere surged across the night sky it headed towards a pine forest. Its trees weren't too big but the deeper one went the bigger the trees would get. A river came into view as the sphere was getting closer to the ground. Beasts could be seen lurking around the forest, some were flying, and others were on the ground. Some were small, and others were bigger than an adult's size but even so they'd all run at the sight of the coming meteor.

Following the river, it connected with an extensive lake, around it stood green hills and pine trees that reached almost twenty meters high. It had an enchanting feel and was fascinating. As if choosing this spot, the sphere started getting faster. It now only had its final few layers and was still burning at an extremely high temperature. As it continuously sped forward it was moments away from landing, it was going to land on the shore.

Getting closer to the lake, the water was pushed away from the sphere making big waves go opposite ways.

BOOM

Just as it hit the shore another layer of protection exploded making the impact all the more stronger. It crashed through the surface of the shore, but it didn't stop and continued rushing forward into the forest, it eventually stopped after destroying a few trees that stood in its way. It had made a dent in the land almost a hundred meters long connecting with the lake.

The sphere only had its final layer now and the two boys inside didn't seem to know anything as they were still in deep sleep. They weren't aware of the creature that was quietly watching them from a few meters away.
