Prologue

'School is pretty boring,' Silver thought to herself. Walking down the hallway back to her dorm, she used the keycard to open the door and jumped onto the bed and went on her phone. Not too long after, it started ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey sweetie"

"Oh, hey mom, what's up?"

"I just wanted to call to make sure everything is going alright with you because your school said you're failing music 100."

"I see. Don't worry about it too much, mom, I just forgot a discussion post on the website, I'll make it up right away."

"Alright, just making sure. Bye, love you!"

"Bye"

Sighing as she closed her phone, 'Why does she care so much about me, it's not like I'm that good of a child, I mean, look at my grades...' switching positions in the bed, 'oh well, it's not like I take it for granted, I just wish that energy was spent on someone besides me. I doubt I'm really worth it.'

Letting go of another sigh, her roommate pops in. "Hi Silver!!!!!"

Looking at the door, "Oh hey Anna."

Switching to her slippers with a bright smile, "What time is it?" she asked.

"About 5:45," Silver said, looking at her phone, "5:43 if you want to be exact."

Smile frozen, Anna gave an inquisitive look, "Huh?" seemingly lost in thought, "Hey Silver, look out the window, why does it look like the moon is out? Shouldn't the moon come out late in July?"

Silver stayed silent for a little bit, "Don't think too deeply about it, weird stuff happens all the time, it's not like you haven't seen it snow in July."

Smile returning, "That's true," Anna said, "I'm just not sure why it gives me this really weird feeling after I noticed it."

"You're probably just overthinking it," Silver explained, "sometimes if you really want something to happen, you start getting uncomfortable when it seems like it's not going to happen all of a sudden. Don't worry too much, the feeling should probably go away by tomorrow anyways. Let's just go get dinner."

Sighing, "I get it now." They moved towards the cafeteria in their dorm and got their share of food before coming back.

"Mashed potatoes again of course..." exasperated at the thought of eating what can only be described as really thick water. "Guess I'm skipping on dinner tonight."

"Hey, that's not healthy and you know that," said Anna in a concerned tone, "you should be eating way more than me. I mean look at how skinny you are... You're like 5'8'' and you only weigh like 102 lbs, do you seriously expect to just magically become in shape? Here, I'll feed you."

Opposed to the idea, but not resisting it, she accepted Anna's request. "Okay, I'm gonna try to do some homework before I go sleep so... early good night," Silver offered.

Half-yawning, "Yeah I'm gonna do some studying before I go to bed too, good night."

After about 6 hours of homework and studying, both Silver and Anna went off to bed, peacefully sleeping until the very next morning.
