[Chapter 36 – Terror of the universe reborn –Part 4]

Flashes of him tearing through their tender flesh, slowly flavouring their insides while appreciating their melodic terrified screams, were currently clouding Xeno's thoughts. In fact in front of him were standing the two hateful individual that had caused Inea's demise and almost his too.

Yet he controlled his instincts, limiting himself to just fixate their frames with his senses.

This was all a trial in the end, their appearance was just another mean to test his will and wits. Xeno obviously knew that by torturing and making them suffer not only he would punish innocents, but he would also end up wasting precious time. He wasn't so sure if after killing them this first test just would end. As he had already spent about three minutes in the previous round, he could compromise his trial as a whole.

Thus he started to think, in the previous step his will had to be determinate enough to accept his own nature. Now, by showing both Dacid and Davos faces in front of him, his resolution was being examined yet again.

'I need to end this one in the same way as I did with the other. Before me both enemies and innocents will be mere tools, even after death their corpses will still hold a certain value inside of my laboratory…'

This was the most plausible solution he had thought so far. By giving in to his instincts and torturing them or feasting on their bodies, he would appear more as a mindless beast.

Thus the outcome of this round didn't last long either, Xeno decapitated them and then stored their bodies inside of his space as he did with the other two.

Then finally what he had both feared and expected the most happened.

'This was so obvious, the maker of this whole trial process must not have been as creative'

As such, inside of the now reddened black ground, appeared a young celidre teen. Light olive colored skin, slightly pointed ears, crystalline azure eyes and a bright smile printed on his face.

"Hello! I know that you can hear me, my name is #§£$!£. It's nice to meet you, even if I know you are not here to do something that pleasant to me. Yet I am happy to be able to see what is it to be out of the 'farm', even if it is not the outside world."

One would need to lie to not find this boy's life pitiful and saddening. Furthermore, his facial features were identical to that of Inea.

Nonetheless, Xeno had to keep going, he wanted to continue straight down to its path, to be coherent to his decisions. Would the real Inea forgive him if his sacrifice have ended up hampering his friend future?

"May... Eternal rest… Embrace you… Click Click"

His slow, yet deep, strident and unpleasant speech sent shivers down the spectators spine, stopping the various insults that were raging against the alien. As silence fell around the arena, only the slow echoing steps of the black giant resonated into the space.

The young boy had already his fate set in stone from the moment of his birth. He already knew that, inside of the farm everyone does. In there thousands of celidres are living in desperate conditions, however they are lacking the power both to strike back or to commit suicide.

They are mere cattle, at the very least the metallic creature is honorable enough to let them understand this. What he couldn't know was that No.2345 was no honorable being, on the contrary, he wanted to give them this very hope. That the outside world existed, a place filled with plants and animals, where true freedom existed. Only the exhausted and simple minds of this secluded celidres would so easily accept such a concept.

Thus this had become a dream of the new generations inside of the farm, to be free and adventure in the outside world. In the end, this boy couldn't achieve his fantasy, yet he was one of the first celidres to exit the farm in thousands of years. He was happy and he knew that even all the other that were witnessing his death shared such joy. He knew that their insults and angry expressions were not entirely true, yes they were slaves, but they have always been so. For generations they have been bound to the farm, so much that their prospective changed. They started to perceive their prison as a permanent relocation, nobody thought of reaching the outside, simply because there was no way out. Exiting it had turned into a reward, not the rightful course of action.

Nonetheless, before his final moment, doubt had struck him hard once again.

[Thanks again my old friend, you have given me yet another. I will be sure to put this inspiration to good use.]

As those words arrived into his mind, the boy felt a little confused, before he had his vision turning completely black, forever.

Storing the corpse of the dead celidre, Xeno maintained a creepy wide grin into his face. In fact, he had been struck by an interesting idea while thinking about this cattle that No.2345 had created. He was to be sure to collect a few 'samples' to start a simile project. However in his case, his specimens would deliberately come to him on their own volition.

[First test of the trial has been successfully completed.

Score acquired: 28/30 points. Next task, eliminate the incoming threats in the shortest amount of time.

Preparing for the test of strength, choosing fitting opponents for the challenger's power level...

Teleportation of the enemies currently undergoing…]

The robotic female voice had spoken once again, alarming Xeno of the incoming battle.

Then suddenly a dozen of individuals had appeared onto the stage. Xeno had never seen this kind of wicked creatures, however they were quite famous between numerous worlds. They were both the embodiment of weakness and danger. Hateful creatures that liked to pillage, ravage and proliferate at the expenses of other races. Mostly known to like harassing less advanced human civilizations.

Small arched little pests, they were wearing low class equipment probably stolen by their prey, angrily looking at the black creature that was standing before them. These green skinned humanoids were non others than goblins.

Yet they weren't a creature native of Siri-0rF, thus Xeno never heard of them. He quickly tucked in his quadrupedal position, empowering his legs with blue nano-energy he distanced himself from the group.

He maxed out his senses capacity, valuating his enemies energetic signature. Xeno soon found out that goblins did not possess a nano-energy related organ, thus could not manipulate power of higher than the first tier of energy. Then suddenly he noticed a variation around the flow of energy around the group. One of the four tallest goblin, which was wielding a rusty long sword on its right hand, suddenly grew out a ball of flame on its left one.

In the next seconds Xeno saw the incandescent ball of fire being thrown into his direction. It was fast, but not enough, as he had started to move since he sensed said perturbation.

The other three goblins followed the example of their comrade, bombarding the alien with other types of elemental magic, ice shards, small thunderbolts and rapid water projectiles.

Yet the rapid reaction of the black alien surprised them, as he seemed to be predicting their magic with ease.

Xeno, after a few minutes of dodging the incoming spells had started to understand the purpose of this first test. The enemies that had been presented to him, signified an unknown threat. He had never seen them before, as such he couldn't just blandly throw himself at them, it would be stupid. On the contrary he had to study them with one of his most powerful natural weapons, his keen senses.

While evading their attacks he gained essential knowledge about them. He had already understood them to be a rather primitive kind of creature, as they couldn't constantly replenish their energies from the environment as he could do, they had some kind of energy reserve. Now they started to finally deplete them, and even if their attacks weren't potentially very dangerous to him, against the unfamiliar he had to act prudent.

As such, his time to strike back has come, Xeno could finally express and vent on them the instincts which he had to repress during the previous test.
